God wants you to join the fight! Far too many of our brethren out there are ill equipped no a days to face the opposing forces. Apologetics, sound theology, and logic are not embraced as much as they should be by the common Christian. Atheists are running rampant in the education systems, Muslims are getting a foothold in the governments, the Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses are still at the door, and corrupt churches are becoming more prevalent every day. There are people and doctrines that attempt to contradict and undermine our beliefs at every turn. Many of us have gotten lazy with our routine Christian lives where we venture out little beyond our circle of friends and family. I include myself in this group as I generally keep to myself and don't like bothering people. What is that saying about you're not suppose to bring up politics or religion at the conversation table?
From what I have seen in my short time at Christian Chat, I know that this is a great place for Christian mingling, supporting and all around fellowship. It brings joy to my heart to see just how many of you guys are out there and that this place can exist. I want to use that and call us all to arms so to speak. I want to see this site equipping its users to be prepared for the challenges to come in each of our walks in Christ. Each of us has his/her areas of expertise and all of us have been given sound, logical minds to use for defending our stance; our world view. The secular world calls us superstitious, hypocrites, unintelligent, backward minded and worse. Are you prepared to prove them wrong in a loving manner that can convince them? Can you satisfy any of your own doubts, or do you simply push them aside? Can you back up all of your beliefs with the Bible? Do you understand your enemy and what kind of thoughts and reasoning that are going through their mind? What I want is to dedicate this Thread to enabling Christians to hold their ground in any argument that they find themselves faced with. I want to embolden us to have the courage to take the fight to those around us when they see an opening. Of course, I can't do this alone. I don't know the first thing about leading a web group and I am not well versed in many subjects. I am but a novice with regards to our warfare and have a long ways to go. I ask anyone out there who has the knowledge, experience, and/or inspiration to chime in when they can. This will be a place for teaching, encouragement, question answering and testimony all to train us in the ways of spiritual warfare. We will tell tales of our battles, learn the forgotten martial arts of Apologetics, come to our bother's and sister's aid when they are attacked by doubt and persecution, and not settle for idle faith. We will prepare for our King and fight in His name for we are Christian!
I propose we create a group centered around 1 Peter 3:15 (but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence); a barracks for Christians if you will. Any group name ideas? Does anybody know if you can form groups or set up categories within this thread to help with organization? I don't know all of the ins and outs of this site yet and don't know what is possible on it. I would also appreciate anybodies help with organizing in general and welcome any suggestions and questions people may have. I am excited to see if this thing takes off and what can become of it. For now I say good night and God bless.
