the heading of your post actually had my attention... as I was curious what it meant. As we know Jesus said, I will build My church... which we also know is what He is still doing today. But while reading your post further, John 4 came to mind - the Lord's words to the Samaritan woman, should help. Vs 35 should help you confirm whatever you know to do... whatever you are already impressed to do... do it! As you have discovered... working with orphanages or children on the street is a daunting task in most countries. We work with Ministerios de Amor in Mexico. All the best, as you GO!

Yea didn't see that I had misspelled my thread title til it was too late...:( But thanks and yes God works these desires in us and I trust this door will open at some point. In fact I have a real feeling that a great move of God is coming to Asia and it all works together as we come to the end of this age....God Bless :)

Brother Mitspa, I lived there for two years while in the service to our Country( 1972-1976) I am sure things have changed a lot there, but what does not change are the people who live there.Child slaves are and always have been a large trade there since i was there!

It is a terrible thing to see and witness to! But since you believe you are led by the Lord to start one, then YOU start one! Many times brother the Lord will direct us to take the lead, but because we become fearful we hold back the leadership roles to someone else, but this is not what the Lord wants. hehe ask Moses, ask David, ask Paul,as many others saints of our faith. Scared? fearful? What if's? Ah yes!! These are the attacks of the enemy to our minds in many areas good brother! But one thing, you will never learn, nor will you ever grow without using your belief in the faith you already have!!( john 6:28-29) which leads to heb 11:6!)

To depend on,rely in,to yes believe! It seems to me good brother that your will is being challanged to see for yourself if you are willing to endure, and will you endure to a result,or fold?( heb 10:36) It is much different looking upon a battlefield then to be in the battle itself. This you are learning. I am only saying this for you to consider is all bro,i do not know you, or your intention!

One who lives there must learn to become shrewd!( matt 10:16)because things there as you have already found out,are not always as they appear! Holy Spirit will guide you, and teach you,as long as you are willing to stay in his classroom.( rom 8:14-15) and 1 john 2:27!)

There comes a time brother when the Lord will sit back from us a bit,and ask you to do something,so you can begin to see what he is seeing!!( 2 chron 32:31) which says" God left him alone only to test him, that he might know all that was in his own heart!

Yes brother God does hide at times from us!!( Isaiah 45:15!!) he does not ever leave us, but he does hide for a purpose! And to find his will we must endure to find this!( heb 10:36) The question we must ask ourselves is are we willing, and will we endure till the end?? Only this you yourself can answer, and you can only answer this by looking deep within your own heart. This is what i found out for me brother, and i can tell you this,if you look, you will indeed find!!( matt 7:7!!) Blessing brother!

Sounds like a post full of wisdom and encouragement....thanks :) You know I have a mindset that I only have this one life to give to Our God...I hope to live it without fear and without bitterness and to be ready to put it all on the line if I "know" its Gods Will and in His timing... Many I believe fail to step out and take chances because they fear what could happen if they fail? I was a failure when He found me and whatever I am or have now is because He has given to me. Whatever I will be will be what His grace will make me. :) God Bless and thanks for the post

Brother Mitspa Who among us was not a failure before Jesus got a hold of us!!! LOL Brother I was beyond a failure,i was a murderer! Few can say they were as the 3 people who wrote three fourth's of the Bible brother!! Moses killed a man,David killed a man and Paul killed I do not know how many!

These 3 good brother wrote most of what God placed on there heart to write!! So since Jesus is sure good enough for them and for me,he sure is good enough for you to!!( psalm 27:13!!)God is good brother because God is just that good! Not because any of us deserve his wonderful goodness! I remember brother for so many years, when things were going pretty good, in my mind I thought, oh oh things are going just to good i just know something bad will happen to me soon.Remind you of anyone brother??? LOL Like Job for example!!( job 3:25-26!!)

This mindset is having faith in the wrong direction bro!I know!! So Holy Spirit took me on a hard learning lesson( 1 john 2:27) and taught me to always remember what is good, and right and pure, he taught me how to keep my mindset upon (phil 4:5-9!) To think upon what is of a good report, not a bad report!( col 3:1-4!!!)

I myself brother cannot do without God's Word every single day of my life!! I depend upon his Word, and that is just what Jesus wants you to do with your own mindset! Yes brother it does take some time!( phil 1:6!) But the reward for a new mindset,is a lasting joy in believing!!( rom 14:13) and PEACE!!( phil 4:7-9) Do you remember what Jesus did?In matt 3:17 he was called the same word we are!! My beloved!( 1 john 4:1,verse 7,verse 11 and so on!

Remember what Jesus did when he was tempted both in his mind by the enemy and in his action? Look what Jesus said!!( matt 4:4,6,10) he spoke from deut8:3,Psalm 91:11-12 the enemy left out some words lol and once again in verse 10 Jesus being God in the flesh spoke HIS WORD!!!!( deut 6:13,and deut 10:20!!) he could have said I am God in the flesh, but he came back with psalm 138:2 for us to do the same!!Jesus placed his Word above his very name! And so we his children need to learn to follow after daddy!

For in so doing we obtain the very same result brother!! I sure have!! But this teaching does not come from men as you know, but by Holy Spirit HIMSELF! For in his teaching we have lasting results, not just sometimes! I failed because i saw myself as one, before Jesus taught me bro!

And indeed was one,but not anymore!!Do I make mistakes?? LOL Of course I do!!But in Christ Jesus brother there is no longer any condemnation!!( rom 8:1!!) What there is, is a greater drawing both to His Word, and in prayer! I learned to wait, and expect! I do not pray to hear myself talk bro! I pray to get results, and I do, because i go into prayer believing i will! So did Jesus! Did Jesus always have a purpose in both his words and his deeds?? You bet he did,and so now do we bro! This brother is how a new creature in Christ Jesus now thinks, and stays thinking this way!( 2 cor 5:17) Therefore IF!!!!! ANYONE is in Christ HE IS a new creature, and we know this because OLD things pass away!

NEW THINGS have indeed COME! And like sin comes first in our mind,so does believe! It is not mind over matter brother, but rather God's Word spoken out loud over that which is only temporary!!( 2 cor 4:16-19!!!) You have every reason to be encouraged brother, and you have every reason to encourage another as well!! Because Jesus truth, sets all who hear it,and believe it free! Both now and forever amen! If you can stand it bro LOL one more verse!! LOL ( Jude 1:24-25!!) There are some brothers and sisters who really do believe, and show this in there own life!! Praise be to our Lord Jesus FOREVER!! amen!

David, in what areas/regions have u done support to ministries, if i may ask? I'm personally from the island of Luzon so am not quite familiar with orphanages in the many other islands. I've been to the southern provinces of luzon, but here south of Manila, i heard a while ago that some of the more 'resistant' provinces to the gospel aside from places like Naga City for ex. where they really celebrate Marian worship with fluvial parades (and are therefore very loyal to their faith), ppl trying in parts of Batangas have difficulty reaching some very 'strong-willed' RCs for some reasons. I'm not familiar w/ orphan outreaches in batangas either, but if perhaps u have contacts or think getting to the orphans there would be a good step...Just some thoughts as u said. Hope that helps.

Its hard to put it all together exactly how this idea came to my heart..ive had contact with ministers who have been there and also certain Pastors who I tried to help (until God showed me they was not honest) and there seems to be a bad string of some of this gospel of greed there...maybe no more than here but they use the great need there in a different way than they do here... I really believe that at some point I will travel there and kinda check things out for myself? I know I will not be sending anymore financial support unless I am sure about those who would do the work of ministry. I don't know much about the islands make-up...I do know the curse of rcc has pulled certain people into a deception that only Gods Power with a pure gospel, can bring deliverance from..

Mitspa,

It's wonderful that you have a desire to minister to people in the Philippines.

However, do you have the qualifications to start a church there?
- Are you an ordained minister?
- Do you have a solid background in Biblical studies, either formally, or as a layman?
- Do you have a solid background in theology and exposition, either formally, or as a layman?
- Do you have a solid background in the practical and theology issues of church-planting?
- Do you have experience in evangelism?
- Do you have practical experience in Bible teaching, counseling, apologetics?
- Do you have experience in the particular dilemmas of cross-cultural ministry?
- Have you done significant cultural studies on the Philippines?
- Have you done other kinds of research on the Philippines: political, economic, geographic, educational, spiritual?

Starting a church is a very demanding enterprise, and requires much preparation and experience.

If you have all the desires to minister to the Filipino people,
but you don't yet have the experience to start your own church,
you might do well to find an existing church or organization to work with.

There are many Churches and Christian organizations in the Philippines that are doing great work.
You should probably do some research, and start contacting them.

My friend I have been a minister for some years now...ordained by God and approved before Him. I have tried to use some known ministries there and have been invited to come and minister there myself...Many from the Phil can tell you that its very hard to find a honest group there that actually is not just trying to build a religious organization or kinda taking advantage of folks desire to help the poor.
I thank you for your concern and desire to know if I am approved? Lets Just say if I am and I am hearing from God? He will make the way :) Truth is never seen a forum that had a Philipino section...and it seemed a good place to express what I have been working and saving the money to do. So if I have the money...I don't need a group or mans approval... and if God blesses me and anoints me there, no man can stop it.

Btw, it was someone who headed a church planting org who preached in church a few yrs ago who talked about their experience with the outreaches in Batangas. Looks like am pretty tired from a trip, but just saying we look forward to hearing in what areas your outreach is going in time.

Yep....I believe I will know when and where to go as I prepare and continue in the Lord. What kind of church do you attend there?

I wasn't trying to be offensive.
It's just that I deal with people all the time who honestly have zero experience,
and zero training, and they want to run off and start a ministry somewhere.
Seriously.
: )
I'm glad to hear you aren't one of those people.

God Bless,
Max.

Why do need to start a church to help orphans exactly?

Well of course I desire more than just to feed them with natural food, but to feed them with the bread of Life. But basically I expect God to continue to bless me in my work to where I could go there having the finances to help and not be dependent upon others. To start a good and true work and then allow others to join that work if they see Gods Hand. :)

But they 're children Mitspa, do they really need the gospel forced on them?
