Hello all,
I am a sinner saved only by God's grace, and am continually being saved by our Lord Jesus. My testimonies are not perfect nor is it unblemished but I have always been praying for an opportunity to share the good news of Christ only am unable because of difficult circumstances. I understand how hard it is to live in Manila wherein the demand to compromise is too high, whether at work or even in Church communities. Because of this I see many people fall away from the faith and began to embrace human traditions than what is really revealed in God's Words. From time to time, one or two people arise and calls forth for the reformation of the churches, but since the idolatrous ways of worship has become too deeply rooted and having our Christian communities small enough to quickly destroy one's reputation, these people feared for their lives and hid in their own caves and thus went along in the mainstreams of compromising. I understand how hard it is to leave behind things that are established already, and to be rejected by men and society. But that doesn't mean that the truth of God's Word has faded or bent to suit our conveniences. What I pray for is for honest individuals to seek for the truth which is Christ Himself in all scripture. But like you, I too have been born in a sinful environment, having myself entangled in the sins of my own past and my family's. But it has been my conviction to continue to pursue seeking God's truth even if our society has become too far from it. Together, with these revealed truths, we, through Christ's gospel, can build a community wherein to pray for one another and love one another in humility, not necessarily to display one another's theological whims, but to be humble and realize that our sins are too great for us and we continue to seek Christ to save us. All of us Christians have our own Isaacs to surrender and we know by experience that it is never easy, yet Christ calls us to live a life of denial of self even if it pains us. I for one am far from perfect and felt much sorrow over my sins daily because I see them daily.
I believe there are still honest individuals out there hoping to be liberated from their sins, from other's sins, and to have a healthy communion with the Lord once and forever. And practically speaking, it is difficult to do this alone. Which brings me to propose a regular Bible study together whether online or in your home or whatever the Lord provides. Lets talk. Lets inquire. Lets bring together our honest questions: what does it mean to be a Christian? What is a Church? Why do we need to pursue righteousness? Why do we need to live a sanctified life? Why is communion with God so important? and more. All these questions we may never understand fully in our lifetime, but it will definitely be beneficial to our spiritual lives.
