THE SIZE OF NOAH'S ARK. Based on the Hebrew cubit of 18.5 inches [563.88 cm], it has been estimated that if that great boat--the Ark--was only one-half the size stated in Genesis 6:14-16 and omitting water creatures--it could still have held two or seven of each basic kind of animal and bird. The remainder of the boat was probably used for food storage. This estimate is based on the Hebrew cubit in the dimensions of the Ark. However, it is very likely that Moses used the cubit of his time--the Egyptian cubit--when giving the dimensions of the Ark. This would make that giant boat even larger.
According to Genesis 6:15, the Ark was 300 cubits long, 59 cubits wide, and 30 cubits high. The Babylonian cubit was 19.8 inches [603.504 cm] , the later Hebrew regular cubit was 17.5 inches [533.4 cm] , and the Egyptian cubit was 20.65 inches [629.12 cm] .
Based on the Hebrew cubit, the Hebrew cubit, the dimensions of the Ark would have been 437.5 feet [1,333 dm] long, 72.92 feet [222 dm] wide, and 43.75 feet [133 dm] high. With three decks in the Ark, it had 95,747 square feet [29,18 sq dkm] , and a total volume of 1,395,734 cubic feet [] . Its cubic tonnage would be 13,960 [42,541 cu dkm] .
Based on the Egyptian cubit used in the time of Moses, the measurements of the Ark would be 516.25 feet [1,573 dm]long, Its width would be 86.04 feet [262 dn] wide, and its height would be 51.625 feet [157 dm]. On this basis--with three stories--its square footage would be 1,332,545 square feet [40,615 sq dkm] , and its volume would be 2,293,086.9 cubic feet [69,893 cu dkm] . Its cubic tonnage would be 22,930 [20,801,637 cu kg] .
The Ark was a barge, not a ship with sloping sides, so it had a larger carrying capacity. It has been reckoned that, even if measured by the smaller 18.5-inch [563.88 cm] cubit of later times, the Ark would have been so huge that 522 modern railroad box cars could have fitted inside it! One each of every species of air-breathing creatures in the works today could be comfortably carried in only 150 box cars.
For 4,000 years after the Ark was constructed, ships rarely exceeded 150 to 200 feet [457-6,096 dm] in length. It was not until 1854 that a ship was built with a longer length than the Ark: the Eturia, a Cunard liner constructed in England. It was not until after World War II that ships were built which had a larger volume and cubic tonnage--the ocean-going oil supertankers.

Scientists, think the Ark was Approximately 450 feet long. The Ark is encased in Ice on top of Mt. Ararat...

Trust me....... If you swallow that nonsense, don't ever go into any kind of construction. You will fall flat on your face before two months are up. LOL This looks like it was compiled by a Middle School Dropout.

It really is only a simple matter of basic math, Jerry.

The average railroad boxcar is about 60' long x 10'-5'' wide x 10' high. And that is only considering the interior dimensions. That comes nowhere near the capacity the article states.

So much for the storage size... way smaller than suggested with the "boxcar" illustration. Now, you have to provide room for all those animals to lie down. (They take up a lot more floor space lying than they do standing.

Then where is the food going to go? Got the slightest idea how much food animals consume per day? And how are the 8 people going to get this food to the animals... walk over them? And then they have to bring water to them also. It could not have been done, but I will even concede they could have dipped water out of the sea, and didn't need a couple of hundred tanks full of the stuff.

Dear Readers,

The idea that Noah brought a lot of animals is UnScriptural. The total number could easily have been much less than 100 creatures. There was no need to bring creatures which were created from the water on the 5th Day,
Gen 1:21 since those same creatures were already on our Planet and had been here for Billions of years when the Ark arrived via Rapture.

The creatures which were aboard the Ark were the creatures which Jesus made with His Own Hands. Science calls them common ancestors. The common ancestor of All Humanity was a direct descendant of Adam, the first Human, and his name was Noah. Humans were scattered all over the face of the Earth from Babel which was built by the son of one of Noah's grandsons, Cush. Gen 10:10 Science agrees and Human civilization can be traced to Noah's arrival some 10k +- years ago just south of Mt. Ararat..

Wrong. Many animals etc. would have needed to be brought onto the Ark, maybe as many as 2,000 land animal and bird kinds (that factors in the two of every unclean kind and seven (pairs?) of every clean kind). It would've been a lot of work for Noah and his family to look after all of these animals, but that's totally do-able. That said, billions of years of history is bollocks, as is the Rapture.

The common ancestor of all humanity is Adam. The common ancestor of all post-Flood humanity is Noah. The Babel doesn't actually say who built the tower of Babel and its city. Not Nimrod or Cush. It was a joint effort of the people (although Noah and his wife would've had no part in it. And probably Shem and Japheth, themselves, didn't. Maybe even Ham, himself, didn't. Your timeline is way off. Human civilization can be traced back roughly 4,500 years ago (which is about the time Noah and his family and the animals and birds came off the Ark).

Let me just add a few things to this discussion from my reading of scriptures. After the Flood, we know that Ham, Shem, Japhet the 3 Sons of Noah and the wives of these 3 re-populated the earth....according to our Bible, This is where each son became the Patriarch of, which people....(1) Ham is the Patriarch of All those in Africa, Egypt, Libya, and middle eastern nations today...(2) Shem is The Patriarch of all the Hebrews, and Finally (3) Japeth, is, the Patriarch of all The Gentiles.from these 3 The world became re-populated..
The Bible tells us that the Grandson of Ham, through his son Cush, was Nimrod. He was totally evil. It states in Genesis 10 verse 10, his kingdom was BABEL, and Erich, and Accad, and
Cal neh in the land of Shinar and it does not say specifically he build the Tower of Babel, but if you read where BABEL was his KINGDOM, then that tells us as King he was the one who ordered the Tower to be buiLT.

One thing regarding The Ark. I am thinking The Lord put a deep sleep.upon all the Animals and birds on the Ark, simply because there was not enough room for the food needed, then having to clean up the mess from you know what. Also if The Animals were awake there would be a natural desire to attack normal prey among them, etc....I also feel like That Ark is still on top of Arrarat..now encased in Ice from permanent frost at the altitude it is at. Mt. Ararat is located on the border of Turkey and Russia also.

The Ark, if it hadn't been pulled to pieces over the years for building projects etc., would no longer exist. Wood just doesn't last for 4,500 years. By the way, the Bible says the Ark came to rest upon the mountains of Ararat. Mount Ararat, itself, is a post-Flood geological uplift. So the Ark came to rest somewhere in that part of the world, either in what is now Armenia, Turkey, Iraq or Iran.

As for Nimrod being the King of Babel, I don't think that would have been the case at the tower and city of Babel, just before the dispersal. A king means the tower would've been his idea and the people would've been under him, but the Bible mentions that it was a joint effort, the desire of all humanity. That doesn't sound to me like a people ruled by a king.

About where The Ark settled:
Genesis 8 verse 4: " And The Ark Rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth of the month, UPON THE MOUNTAINS OF ARARAT. Those mountains are all basically in the same area in close proximity. Makes no difference if it's on Mountain #1, 2, etc. The Mountains of Ararat..

it was a joint effort building the Tower of Babel..since it was Nimrod's KINGDOM, you think he did not endorse the idea? Brother please, he was the king!...Why else would our Bibles state: ( Genesis 10 verse 10: " And HIS KINGDOM ( Nimrod) was BABEL, ETC". We all must fully read what exactly it tells us, not guess or surmise a bunch of people got together one day, and decided to build this tower, and King Nimrod never knew it was being erected..please bro.

And one more thing for everyone to think about is Nimrod was also King of the Original Babylon. That was also part of his kingdom. This is where all Idolatry was re-born after The Great Flood, It spread worldwide from here. There are historical writings on this, however since our Bible does not state about Idolatry startIng here , we cannot fully trust what other books say, on this subject.

One final thing to consider about The Tower of Babel....Man thought they could Build thus tower up to heaven, and be like God. And Notice after they attempted it, God confounded all their language, and scattered them all over the earth...This was in reality Mankind's First attempt to create a one world Government, under one leader, which is now in the works right now...One World leader, one Religious leader..The Beast/ The False prophet.

Right. The mountains of Ararat. I'm just saying it's not the mountain known as Mt. Ararat. No harm. As for Nimrod, the Bible says that Babel was the beginning of his kingdom. All that means is that the first kingdom he ruled was Babel. Not that he was the first king of Babel.

Here's the NASB translation (the most accurate in the English):

Now the whole earth used the same language and the same words. [SUP]2 [/SUP]It came about as they journeyed east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar and settled there. [SUP]3 [/SUP]They said to one another, “Come, let us make bricks and burn them thoroughly.” And they used brick for stone, and they used tar for mortar. [SUP]4 [/SUP]They said, “Come, let us build for ourselves a city, and a tower whose top will reach into heaven, and let us make for ourselves a name, otherwise we will be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth.”

Genesis 11:1-4

If the city and the tower of Babel were built by Nimrod they would've been built in his name and he would've ruled over people to get these structures built. But the Bible doesn't mention any of that. It sounds like they (as humanity) collectively chose to build the city and its tower.

It was Nimrod's KINGDOM bro. Notice again it plainly tells us in Genesis 10 verse 10...HIS KINGDOM WAS (1) BABEL (2) ERECHO
(3) ACCAD (4) CALNEH in the land of Shinar.
4 places were his kingdom.

So, once again common sense tells us, If those 4 cities/towns/ villages? was his kingdom that means, he was not the Sheriff, Governor, or Military...He was the King.....and one Final thing. Go back and carefully read in Genesis 10 verse 8: "He was a mighty hunter before The Lord, wherefore it is said Even as Nimrod THE MIGHTY HUNTER BEFORE THE LORD" Amen.

Some people may think OK, Nimrod could Bag a lot of Deer, Elk, Elephants as a mighty Hunter.
But what that is actually telling us in hidden meaning, is he was a great hunter of SouKS for evil intentions..

[SUP]8 [/SUP]Now Cush became the father of Nimrod; he became a mighty one on the earth. [SUP]9 [/SUP]He was a mighty hunter before the Lord; therefore it is said, “Like Nimrod a mighty hunter before the Lord.” [SUP]10 [/SUP]The beginning of his kingdom was Babel and Erech and Accad and Calneh, in the land of Shinar. [SUP]11 [/SUP]From that land he went forth into Assyria, and built Nineveh and Rehoboth-Ir and Calah,[SUP]12 [/SUP]and Resen between Nineveh and Calah; that is the great city.

Genesis 10:8-12

I know what Genesis 10 says. The first city Nimrod ruled was Babel. The latter part of his great kingdom were the cities of Erech, Accad and Calneh. Later on, he travelled to Assyria and built three more cities, probably also part of his kingdom. So Nimrod must have had quite a reign and lots of influence. I agree that Nimrod was probably a hunter of men, but that can happen after the dispersal of the nations at the tower of Babel.

Let me give you some interesting books to read that explains how Babylon was the beginning of False Worship, etc. You can order two of these from a local Bible Book Store: (1) "Babylon, Mystery Religion" by Ralph Woodrow..
(2) The Two Babylons, by Alexander Hislop written in 1856. Tells all about Nimrod, his wife Semiramis, all of it..

Wrong Assumption!

God tells us we live in a Multiverse composed of at least 3 universes. The 1st Universe was Adam's world, which was "clean dissolved" in the Flood. The present Universe is the 2nd Heaven or Universe, which was made Billions of years AFTER Adam's world was made, and is scheduled to be Burned. The 3rd Heaven is where Christians will go AFTER our world is burned.

Thousands of creature and animals brought forth from the water (Gen 1:21) were already here in our present world when Noah arrived on this planet, therefore, there’s no use to bring them in the Ark...since the Great Noah’ Flood did NOT happen here in our own world.

Of course, the ones that’ in the Ark were special Creature/ Animals Made by Jesus - with His own hands and Scripture describe them as “His Kind”.

BTW, I am also sorry that you seem to be ignorant of the meaning of a “Day” (Yowm) in Genesis 1. Let me know if you need me to explain further.

The common ancestor of all humanity is Adam. The common ancestor of all post-Flood humanity is Noah.
Correct... That’s exactly what I was saying (see my underlined quote above in read color) and you’re just trying hard to split hair so we can argue about it, correct? Try again... lol

Sorry, but your theory is flawed and only based on your own Religious ASSUMPTION which is NOT supported by the Scripture. In fact, with your view of the same above, you might as well disregard Gen 10:8-10 which document us Nimrod becoming mighty men of old during his time and the beginning of his first kindom on this earth was Babel, Erech; Accad and Calneh in ther Land of Shinar.

Read and learn:

Gen 10
v8 And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth.
v9 He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD.
v10 And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, in the land of Shinar.

The dating of the Ancient Religious Leaders and Archbishop James Ussher does NOT agree with the observed Truth of History.

Below you will find the empirical evidence for the SUDDEN arrival of Human Farmers on this Planet. It happened just 10k + - years ago EXACTLY where God told us it did in Gen 8:4, in the mountains of Ararat. Notice that Big Lake which is between Mt. Ararat and the Center of the Fertile Crescent. Also notice the date when this event happened. Map: Fertile Cresent, 9000 to 4500 BCE

The valleys just SW of these mountains are in Northern Mesopotamia, the Cradle of Human Civilization on this Earth. The FIRST Human farming, city building, and ALL of the traits of modern Humans began in this area. Gen 10:10 shows that the great grandsons of Noah BUILT these first Human cities, some of which are still standing. The important part is that HISTORY agrees, leaving the False assumption of Religionist is the odd man out, since it has NOT noticed this event.

I know of them and I've read some of the latter book. Both of them are absolute nonsense and very, very poor scholarship (more fiction than anything else). Ralph Woodrow corrected himself later on with his book "The Babylon Connection?" It's depressing and disturbing how so many people take Alexander My Goodness He's Sloppy's word as Gospel.

The important part is that HISTORY agrees, leaving the False assumption of Religionist is the odd man out, since it has NOT noticed this event.
There's no point discussing any of this with you. God's Word should be the lens through which we view everything. You're not doing that.

First of all, your argument is fallacious and only based on your own made premises for argument.

Where do you find that I posted or even mentioned that Cush or Nimrod "Built the Tower of Babel"? Your pre-conceived notion is blurring your reading comprehension.

I posted that one of Noah' grandsons built the city of Babel (paraphrasing).

Humans were scattered all over the face of the Earth
from Babel which was built by the son of one of Noah's grandsons, Cush. Gen 10:10 Science agrees and Human civilization can be traced to Noah's arrival some 10k +- years ago just south of Mt. Ararat.
Oh well, since you always seem to like to speculate and assume things.... Here is what the story of the Tower of Babel teaches - based on the Scripture and logical scenario:

When the rains came to the world of Adam, the firmament, which protected the first world from the water which surrounded it, began to sink. The Ark, which was already upon the waters began to rise as the firmament sank. This released the Ark into ANOTHER world, the present world of ours, right now.

Noah's descendants thought they could build a tower to Heaven and escape the present Earth, like Noah had escaped from the first Earth. They didn't want to be scattered over the face of the whole Earth, into the lands of the Savages (prehistoric people), so they tried to escape our world, but the LORD had other plans.

Thus, was Humanity scattered over the face of the present Earth and the prehistoric people changed from innocent animal to Human intelligence. This shows that Humans did NOT evolve from Apes, but from Noah's descendants.

Deal with it.
