Hi. I just want to know what do you feel or think about what is happening in the Philippines? Those summary execution, lack of due process, involvement of policemen and government/public officials in drugs and the President's shoot to kill orders? Especially to those people who vote for him because I'm really curious about it.

Hi

First let us heed the exhortation of Apostle Paul and what is that? To pray for our government officials.

1 Timothy 2:1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
1 Timothy 2:2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

Secondly, we have to understand that as Christian we should be subject to the powers that be. For Christians, we should not fear the things which involve drug related killings. The government may just doing their God given authority to execute justice. Now to the extent for the lack of due process that I don't know. As per government authorities, policemen or the men in uniform were saying they did it according to the rule of law. Neither the policemen nor the local officials were treated VIP's. The bible says,

Romans 13:1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.

Further it states the government has the right to bear the sword and execute wrath, meaning he can use his weapon to execute a just recompense to evil doers.

Romans 13:2 -4 "Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.

For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to
execute
wrath upon him that doeth evil."

So we will not be very happy to the government when Christians are no longer treated justly.

God bless

I'm not a supporter of killings-- guilty or innocent. Every citizen should submit to the law and police authorities should follow procedures to properly implement justice. It makes me sad that so many lives are being sacrificed for this purging of drugs and corruption but I'm also hopeful that it will make a good change in our government.

The corruption in our country is so bad that you can experience it not just in the government but in almost every institution, company, and even in our churches. Abuse of power such as nepotism and the like are everywhere. You can even see it even in the media. Reporters supports such and such because of favors. However, recently, more corrupt politicians are being exposed of their crimes. Drug lords are panicking, and hopefully other criminals will feel the fear of committing crimes.

If there was a better administration I would've chosen it over the current one, but this is what we have. Regardless of the situation, God's plans are always better. Have faith in God's love for us always and do not fear.

Proverbs 3:25-26 ----- "Do not be afraid of sudden terror, Nor of trouble from the wicked when it comes; For the LORD will be your confidence, And will keep your foot from being caught."
