So far I only got a chance to join the fellowship on the first Monday night and was blessed with the sharing there but unfortunately wasn't able to join the rest and was hoping somebody would take time to share what they've learned here for the benefit of those who missed it.
So I will start...
First Monday night we read the passage in Leviticus 6: 8-13
8 [a]Then the Lord said to Moses, 9 “Give Aaron and his sons the following instructions regarding the burnt offering. The burnt offering must be left on top of the altar until the next morning, and the fire on the altar must be kept burning all night. 10 In the morning, after the priest on duty has put on his official linen clothing and linen undergarments, he must clean out the ashes of the burnt offering and put them beside the altar. 11 Then he must take off these garments, change back into his regular clothes, and carry the ashes outside the camp to a place that is ceremonially clean. 12 Meanwhile, the fire on the altar must be kept burning; it must never go out. Each morning the priest will add fresh wood to the fire and arrange the burnt offering on it. He will then burn the fat of the peace offerings on it. 13 Remember, the fire must be kept burning on the altar at all times. It must never go out.
"We can see here the mandate that the fire in the altar is to be kept burning and must never go out. To keep it burning the priest add firewood.
For our Christian life to grow we also need firewood, and the firewood that keeps us burning in service to God is of course reading his Word everyday, praying unceasingly, and fellowship with the brother's and sisters. Without all of these we won't be able to continue in serving Him passionately.
Feel free to contribute. Your input is much appreciated!
