You are indeed right !! the song is really mocking God. May word pa na "Lampungan" sa kanta...ginagawang puhunan ang pangalan ng Panginoon. Ang daming bulgar words na inappropriate...sana hindi na lang ginamit ang Pangalan ng Panginoon para sa highlights ng kanta. although the composer has acknowledged his weaknesses and asking the Lord for forgiveness...however...he seems not truly doing it. I can't believe I wasted my 5 minute time in listening that garbage. I really did listen from the beginning to the end just to know the intention of the song. The song is not even in Christian genre...it's very worldly song performed by mga "sabog at adik" na mga tao. I do not recommend this especially for the young people. !!!

[h=3]Exodus 20:7[/h]
Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

Daghan na man gud kaau mga timailhan ba nga naa na ta sa last days...usa na ni nga timailhan...ang mga kanta perte ka-bulgar. Kun sauna ipaagi pa man tog backmasking aron imo mahibaw-an ang tinuod na message song...karon wala nay back-masking kay bisan pag dili i-backmask ang kanta...klaro na man kaau ang mga vulgar messages nga walay lain gi-promote kundili sex...violence...alcohol...drugs...gang ug uban pa.

Out of curiosity I listened to the song, ewan ko lang gideon ha but I don't think it's mockery. The lyrics are undeniably true and actually I find the lyrics good and I know a lot of people can relate to the song. I think if the tune is different and the people who sang this ay malinis tingnan at di parang lasing lol I think this would be a good christian song but then they are hip hop artists, rappers so I think that's the only difference and of course the sincerity. I can't find any information about the band but obviously this song made them a little popular, lol. Cguro isa lang ito sa maraming commercialized na Christian music and more of like for popularity only.

I can't believe there is someone who finds this song amazing and interesting LoL. Even if a decent christian who will sing this song...still something is very wrong. Besides.." Walang Matinong Kristiyano ang kakanta nito." Kung meron man...then something is wrong with HER/his christian life. He/she is either a backslider or a christian only by name but not in deeds !! A real Christian can discern what are things not from God and what are things from Him. " My sheep hear my voice...and I know them...and they follow me:"(John 10:27).

How can someone say that this song is pretty good? Just look at the vulgar lyrics:

Ako’y nagsisimba kapag gusto ko lang
Pag may jowa akong "makakalampungan"
Kapag may mga bebot na ang gaganda
Kapag merong "baklitang" nakakatawa

see?....very commercialized christian music....

Hehe kuya, with all due respect po I didn't find this song amazing and interesting, I just say the lyrics are good and undeniably true which is implying the real motives of a lot of people today and madami naman talaga na will only remember God if they need something, it's like for them God exist only to provide for their worldly wants and will only go to church for personal reasons. The lyrics are actually annoying for me but it's annoyingly true. I actually don't know if I make sense hehehe.

Try to read the whole lyrics of the song again and tell me if you think the same thing still. :)

Kinakausap lang Kita kapag ako’y nangangailangan
Baka may kakilala Ka na pwede kong utangan
Kasi alam Mo na sa tong-its talo ako
Pwede bang bigyan ako kahit anim na numero?

Kinakausap lang Kita kapag ako’y nangangailangan
Sana’y may artista na maka-date man lamang
Okay lang sa akin kahit na si Joyce Jimenez
Sana ako’y pumogi, pumuti at maging flawless

CHORUS
Lord, patawad
Pagkat ako’y makasalanan
Makasalanang nilalang
Lord, patawad
Pagkat ako’y makasalanan
Makasalanang nilalang

Ako’y nagsisimba kapag gusto ko lang
‘Pag may bagong damit na ipagyayabang
‘Pag may bagong biling mahal na pabango
Kapag bago ang shoes o kaya ang relo

Ako’y nagsisimba kapag gusto ko lang
Pag may jowa akong makakalampungan
Kapag may mga bebot na ang gaganda
Kapag merong baklitang nakakatawa

Ako’y nagsisimba kapag gusto ko lang
‘Pag andyan ang tropa’t nagkayayaan
hahanap ako ng mapagtitripan
Pagkatapos ng misa ay aabangan

CHORUS
Lord, patawad
Pagkat ako’y makasalanan
Makasalanang nilalang
Lord, patawad
Pagkat ako’y makasalanan
Makasalanang nilalang

Akala ko dati ay kaya ko na
Kaya ko nang mabuhay mag-isa
Ang daming trabaho, babae’t pera
‘Pag ako’y sagana ‘di Kita kilala

Naalala Kita noong ako’y nakulong
Parang bubuyog, bulong ng bulong
‘Pag may kamalasan sa ‘king na nangyari
Ikaw lang nang Ikaw aking sinisisi

Kapag merong debate, sinong magaling?
Sinong matuwid sino ang nagsinungaling?
Ako’y naiiling at mistulang santol
‘Di man lamang Kita kaya na ipagtanggol

SINOSOLO KO LANG ANG BIGAY MONG BLESSING!
‘Pag kumanta ako dapat ay bayad din
Bakit nga ba Sa’yo ay wala akong time
Pa’no kung Ikaw na ang mawalan sa akin ng time?

Lord, patawad
Lo-o-o-o,o-o-o
Lord…

Lord, Lord, Lord, patawad
Lo-o-o-o,o-o-o
Lord…

Sa puso ko’y lagi Siyang kumakatok
‘Di ko binuksan, ‘di ko pinapasok
Tuktok ng bundok na Kanyang inakyat
Tignan ko pa lang ako ay nilagnat

Dapat ako ang ipako sa cross
Dapat ako ay siyang nanlilimos
Nag-awad ng tawad sa ating Ama
Ngunit masama pa ang pinadama

Dadadadadadadadadada
Puro ako salita at dada
Sa biyaya ako’y naaatat
Pero kahit kailan ‘di nagpasalamat

Nagduda ako sa kakayahan Mo
‘Di ako nararapat Sa’yo
Masyado akong mapagmalaki
Pero kahit kailan, hindi Ka nag-higanti

Lo-ord, patawad
Lo-o-o-o,o-o-o
Lord…
Pagkat ako’y makasalanan
Makasalanang nilalang

Lord, Lord, Lord, patawad
Lo-o-o-o,o-o-o
Lord…
Pagkat ako’y makasalanan
Makasalanang nilalang

With all due respect din sister...nothing's changed after you wrote the whole lyrics down...in fact...it's even more ridiculous to read. I hope the admin will erase all the garbage tsk tsk tsk. Satan is like that ....He feeds half truth and half lies...or even sometimes 90% truth rather than 10% lies...very interesting to know...satan got more truth than lies?indeed yes !! He did this to men just to fall for his skilled craft. Just like what he did to the first male and female...He fed them with half truth and half lies. What happened to them? they fell !!!!

In Hosea 4:6 " My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge".

God bless u sister....

Well...that's how I understood it.:) I am not trying to defend the song or the band, I only listened cuz I was curious and I am just stating my opinion.:) I don't like some part of the video of this song cuz they were trying to act the lyrics on it and some scene are just exaggerated but then again as I have said the lyrics are undeniably true and a lot of people said they can relate to the song and even consider it as an eye opener for them.

The sincerity of the lyrics especially on the chorus asking God for forgiveness and acknowledging he is a sinner might not be there, but all of us are guilty anyway asking God for forgiveness all the time but then unintentionally or intentionally committing mistakes again and also we have different interpretations. Someone can interpret a song in a positive way and some in negative way, but then it boils down to every individual how they accepted the song, and as how I see it after reading a few comments online majority of them accepted the song in a positive way.

With these lyrics
(Ako’y nagsisimba kapag gusto ko lang
Pag may jowa akong "makakalampungan"
Kapag may mga bebot na ang gaganda
Kapag merong "baklitang" nakakatawa)

I don't know how you understood the song cuz for me it simply implies
I go to church only if I wanted to
If I have bf/gf to flirt with ( I don't find it talking about sex and that is my interpretation)
If there are girls that are beautiful
If there are gays that are funny
and go back to the chorus asking God for forgiveness and that he is a sinner. I really don't see any vulgar words in there. I think you were just thinking so deep kuya :), where in fact the song is very literal and simple. :)

It's more of like metal music, for me I feel it promotes anger, being wild and crazy, I don't like this screaming and all but then a lot of Christians like it, and that is something I'm still trying to understand why, but it won't be right for me to say that just because I feel this song is devil those who like it are devils too and they are only Christians in name and not in deeds because I'm already judging someone where I don't have any right at all. :)

@ate jangel, 'te kahit sa first stanza (or anong tawag dyan hehehe) is enough to say na there's mockery (as for me), as True Christian mahahalata natin agad.."baka may kakilala ka na pwedeng utangan" aren't we taught to depend on God only?

Psa_37:25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

and to make it worst he's praying to use it for gambling - "Kasi alam Mo na sa tong-its talo ako Pwede bang bigyan ako kahit anim na numero?" and the rest of the lyrics are all non sense . . .

and i can't take this as a Christian music, not at all..

This is how you understood the song..
he is praying to God asking Him if He knows someone where he could get money cuz he knew that God knows he lose on the poker game and asking again God to give him a 6 digit number for gambling.

but this is how I understood it...

The act is done and just recalling what he did. He acknowledged that he only talked to God if he needs Him. He acknowledged that all he thought were all selfish desires and he remembers God only when he has big and serious problems and that's why the chorus says... Lord forgive me... I am sinner... Do you see the difference? present and past? hehehheh

LoL Judgmental kaagad? What's wrong with the Young People nowadays? Why is it hard for them to listen to the adults? When you show them the right path then all of a sudden you will be accused or branded as judgmental freak. What shall we do as an adult? Tolerate them? Ok let's say we have to agree with them in terms of their questionable choices. Ok here we go...Don't ever bother preaching them the truth because it is very offensive and besides you will lose members if you ever do...Let them hear what they wanted to hear !!Let them chose which music to chose...Let them dance gimme gimme...harlem shake...gangnam style watever because it's so cool and they really like it. Ok that's it !! Then in the next five years you will produce a generation of reprobate minded-christians...A christian who doesn't like the truth and ignores the Word. Their mind are filled with fleshly desires. In the next five years Im not surprised if they will let lady gaga...justin bieber..any local rappers to run the pulpit during the worship hour. For me it's not a church anymore but a disco house where bunch of hippies are having fellowship.

Once a shepherd leads his sheep...He will lead them to the clear and clean path. But what will happen when sheep lead their shepherd?. They will lead you nowhere but to the sinkhole and both of you will die.

Jesus is the good shepherd. anyone who follows him will have victory....He said " My sheep hear my voice...and I know them...and they follow me:"(John 10:27).

as far as music is concerned...I never have listened to any worldly songs even love songs...even christian rock....I only listen to certified anointed christian songs.

Ok God bless

Young man...you are wise beyond your years. You may be too young but you already got the wisdom...the Knowledge of God. That's a gift from God.

But you need to go to church regularly inorder for you to more mature spiritually....

God bless you

hey my Big Brother! your head hurts because of me thinking deep while me, my jaw hurts because of your humorous posts here in CC...you're really an ice-breaker big bro...lol

i give back all praises and glory to God kuya fire_of_elijah if that's how you see me . . .

about the church thing, we have bible study at home and that's every saturday and i'm very contented we have pastor that's really pure in serving God and most of my post here or ideas comes from him from our bible study [but of course everything comes from God our pastor is an instrument], but sad to say for the past 3 meetings i wasn't able to attend due to work and most probably will go on but i know God will definitely make a way and this is what i'm praying..)

ate jangel i see your point with the tenses, yes, hes is recalling his past and ask for forgiveness but the thing here is the sincerity of the song, coz as what i've said and as i perceived it he isn't sincere and you as a listener doesn't feel the sincerity then it is clear that he is mocking God . . . and i'm not a fan of rap music or metal may it be 'christian' metal song coz for me they are just noise, JUST MY HONEST OPINION :)

and with regards with the lyric/s, 'lampungan' may not be a vulgar word but it become vulgar when said in public . . . and as Christians we should be concerned with this especially when young people will hear words that aren't supposed to be heard at their age. And it's not even good to hear that word...

And as posted by kuya elijah_of_fire - A real Christian can discern what are things not from God and what are things from Him. " My sheep hear my voice...and I know them...and they follow me:"(John 10:27).

You just don't know Gideon and kuya Fire_of_Elijah how I wanted to be wrong and accept that this is not a good song at all and this is nothing but a total junk. I watched the official lyric video, official music vid, read the whole lyrics, read some comments online before I gave my opinion but no matter what you say I can't say that this is not a good song at all and it is just a mockery to God. (stubborn me?.. I guess :p) This is not a perfect song but it's quite a good song, cuz it's telling the truth and a lot of people are guilty of doing it too and said this song hit them. I only have some issues how they made the official vid since they were trying to act the lyrics, but if we will open our minds we can say he was just showing on the vid who he was before and now he is asking God for forgiveness. About the sincerity, isn't it God can only tell if our hearts is really sincere towards Him or not?

I read a blog about this, a part of it says some interviews of the singer. The singer said that this song describes his life. He literally was asking God for forgiveness of his sins, for the times he didn't put it to heart when He worships God, every prayer and every blessings he received.

This might be a junk for some but I read a comment saying he has high respect to the singer cuz through this song it made him realized and came back to God and now he started going back to church again, well for me one soul is enough to say this song is not just a garbage.

Haissst mastress man pud ta ani oi basta mao na ako opinyon bahaha. Gideon panlibre na may work na eh, pakain naman jan hahahha.
