Secular, since it does not caption. However, from my understanding with my girlfriend from the phils.. here is one thing is true, once you start showing you are serious with the Filipina, you will find yourself she thinks you are very serious and wants to marry.

Once you are in, there are "no way out" kind of stick together. However, sadly men do take advantage of women there the same as it is here in the US. A little different though.

Generally Filipinas are very nice, sweet, with a lot of respect for the man and they are simple. Most of the time I hear the word, "Simple" And that is what they are. Who they are. You know?

I have noticed huge difference between Filipinas and American women. Filipinas tend to accept me for who I am even I am Deaf. American women on another hand tend to avoid because of age (yes when I was their age and they thought I was too old for them but not true because of my hair). American women tend to follow Hollywood standards of "must have that handsome guy just like I saw on TV or in the movies!!" as I have quoted.

The women in the Philippines also known as Pinays are very much taught to accept any man regardless of his appearance to love the man for who he is.

Sure, there are some after money for sure or way in the America.

I have met Filipinas in America who are co-workers of people I know or whatever out there, even a Deaf Filipina in college when I was in College. I noticed a pattern of personality: somewhat aggressive. What I mean by that is they have good esteem, outgoing, etc.. but often I met online are more shy. I could write a book with my analysis. Hahha. Best answer is for yourself to meet them. Plenty of them here on this site. Although I met mine in another site. This site is not a dating site and sometimes they here would really look for someone. The members here are not really fully telling the truth..Like switching hats if you get my meaning. "Oh, this is not a dating site but I am here to look for someone" I was like that. But I got one sided here.. No offense.. but for you, if you want to meet them here, go ahead. There are other sites too if you want to meet Filipinas. 2 I know of are ok. But not best.

Yes it is true (a long time ago)...

In my mom's time, before you get the "Yes" from the girl or before you'll be officially in relationship you should court first the parents and get 2 Yes(es). And if you have the 2 Yes-es then you're on.. :D

but this present time you'll seldom see filipino men do that probably influenced by western culture.

And i must say that traditional way is still the best.

Hi and thanks, UPStateBro!

If you ever plan to publish that book, on line, I could read it. :) Ha! Ha!

You are right (I will keep those tips as a secret).

Meanwhile I will stay as I am, perhaps I´d remain far from my computer and far from Internet (and more connected to GOD´s will).

Here someone told I need to woo their parents and, after that "green light". No! No!

A month ago I was with someone who wanted me to gain her 3 children: Her children´s approval. And that showed me I can´t affort the time (neither the money) this life.

Hope my life ends soon (to be changed for the purpose GOD brought me down here).

Hahaha fellow Filipinos will treat this story normal but for others, well...

Early 1950s, my Aunt was forced to marry this guy because apparently, this guy held my Aunt's hand. Both my grandfather and grandma were furious that they told the guy to marry my Aunt asap. Yep, in the past, when a man touched a women's hand (I'm not sure the case in other families though, but it is in my family in the past), you need to marry the woman.

@gideon007 I have to agree. Traditional way rocks! :)

Oh!
Thank you!

Perhaps that could be the reason may ladies, today, do not shake hands TOOOOOO often. Ha! Ha!

The more I read about Asian the more I feel I like them. Whowever, God´s hands are the best to shake 1st.

A thought I got:

1Ti 2:8 I desire then that in every place the men should pray, lifting holy hands without anger or quarreling;
1Ti 2:9 likewise also that women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly attire,
1Ti 2:10 but with what is proper for women who profess godliness—with good works.
1Ti 2:11 Let a woman learn quietly with all submissiveness.

Thanks!
