On a serious note... Several Biblical figures looked for wives. Granted, we aren't told that Adam was specifically looking for a wife but he had no one to look for at the time. The Bible says God stated that "for Adam, no suitable helper could be found," and so God not only made him a wife but brought her right to him. Somehow, I don't think Adam was sinning by accepting what was given to him by the Lord.
And Abraham sent his most trusted servant, Eliezer, on one very specific mission: "Find a wife for my son, Isaac." I would definitely classify that as looking for a wife. Again, we are not told that this was a a sin.
I have also read that Paul was married at one time. He was a member of the Pharisees, and I was told that part of the requirements for being a part of that group was to be married. If you have evidence to the contrary, please give me a source, as I'd be interested in reading the facts myself. It has been speculated that Paul's wife died at some point or left him when he was converted--which I've also read could be the reason why Paul wrote some of the things he did about marriage. Perhaps he was still nursing a broken heart.
Besides, the Bible also says: "He who finds a wife finds a good thing (what is good), and receives favor from the Lord." Proverbs 18:2
