It's not the designer's mistake, it's because we live in a sinful fallen world. Why do we live in a sinful fallen world? Because MAN chose to do evil.

In other words: calamities are a byproduct of sin - perhaps as karmic justice. Or, are purpose-driven for the sake of bringing glory to God.

Yes. All negative genetic mutations come from living in a sinful and fallen world. Don't worry though, heaven won't be like that.

Well in a way it can almost and also be viewed as beneficial, myopic students tend to excel in school.
