Yes! Only got to hear a couple songs, but I liked them, one of the better Christian symphonic metal bands

i recommend picking up whatever you can find from them. really good God-centered lyrics. no where near as heavy as Borgazur haha but seriously, for any Christian metalhead, they have an album called "The Jesus Metal Explosion" -- how can you not want a copy of that??

they have albums in Finnish too, including some of the same material they sing in English.

haha... i'm taking it no one saw the 'looking for more obscure' part of Zmans post. These suggestions are all pretty popular. Lots of good stuff, but nothing new to us.

While not metal, check out The Glorious Unseen. They had a few releases of praise stuff, but not your typical hillsong trite ccm style.
Its old, but i remember seeing pictures of people at a Mortal Treason concert worshiping. So that may be something to look into. Or older hair metal P. K. Mitchell had an album 'All Hail The Power'. Kind of bluey rock/metal. Praise/hymn lyrics. He is also, finally, making a sequel.

This song..

BUT I FELT HIS LOVE WASHING OVER ME HIS NAIL SCARRED HANDS PULLING ME IN!

Will give this some more thought.

here's one that's definitely obscure, but good luck finding a download or much less a physical copy:

"redeemed for aleluya" is a particular fav. of mine.

Bediah, Azmaveth, Azeta, Docnargath, Hodah and Beeroth are all in similar vein as Borgazur, and also obscure enough that tracking down a physical copy near impossible. This is mostly South & Central American unblack metal.

for a real treat from the USA, see if you can find Flaskavsae's "The Two Pillars" album.

hopefully at least a few of those is new to you!

Borgazur is awesome. I thought I'd be good because I thought I had them downloaded on my phone, but alas, I didn't :(

Oh well, I'll have to put it on soon

Um I can't think of anything obscure without settling down into a 2 hour + google metal archives search with a coffee, and donut to back me up. A band you probably wouldn't have heard is Breathing Still.

Quite new, also New Zealand band so giving them some heads up lol.

I'm sure Yowie could suggest some Aussie bands. Killer beard man.

Is this thread consigned to only our true favorites, or is it also just sharing whatever hits us on occasion? If it is... I'm going to spam this thread with lots of music lol.

Otherwise, I'd have to go with Soul Embraced. It's a good solid choice for a favorite I think.

Hah..thats a good point. In the back of my mind, I had a feeling the name sounded familiar in more ways than one. Reminds me of myspace band pages(when it was in). Search for a metal band, and end up with 10 + results of rappers etc, using the same name.

Not really, people have been sharing whatever bands interest them, not just top favourites.

Whats your favourite Soul Embraced album?

Just keep in mind most of us already know all the main bands. So yeah, don't spam the popular stuff, because we'll know it all already.
And please, please, please, don't spam metalcore. Ugh. A little is fine, but really, such an overkilled genre.
