what if Kitteh goes in the rapture but Blain doesn't (?)
that's something to ponder.

i know....let's call Harold - he'll know what to do about being Left Behind:

Really childish for a grown woman to mock a 21 year old like that. What do you hope to achieve from a post like this, because it's far from christian-like.

Proverbs has been very insightful.

Proverbs 6:12-19
A worthless person, a wicked man,
Walks with a perverse mouth;
He winks with his eyes,
He shuffles his feet,
He points with his fingers;
Perversity is in his heart,
He devises evil continually,
He sows discord.
Therefore his calamity shall come suddenly;
Suddenly he shall be broken without remedy. These six things the Lord hates,
Yes, seven are an abomination to Him:
A proud look,
A lying tongue,
Hands that shed innocent blood,
A heart that devises wicked plans,
Feet that are swift in running to evil,
A false witness who speaks lies,
And one who sows discord among brethren.

Incidentally, I was saved after watching the 80's movie, 'left behind' and my brother was saved after Harold made that false claim. God used it to convict my brother, just as He used that movie to convict me. Good does come out of situations like those, even if you believe them to be garbage.

so you proceed to expound on the rapture after saying it sadly shouldn't be about that.
Showing support for Blain who was mocked for believing in a rapture.

He was clearly asking about his cats, not wanting to be debated on whether the rapture would be pretrib or posttrib because it was not his intention for everyone to argue about the rapture itself.

sometimes a picture speaks a thousand words - particularly for those who don't want to read the Word.

no Katy, i'm not going to stand by and promote ridiculous movie plots and not address questions that stem from them.
what does ANY of that have to do with christianity or what the Word preaches?

nothing. it's (pretrib doctrine) from SATAN.

1) why don't you let him speak for himself? how do you know what his intention was. that's why i asked BLAIN (not Katy).

2) why did you post about the rapture, then?:

As for the rapture, this thread sadly ended up being a debate over that when it was not your intention. I too believe that Christ will come to collect His church and in a manner that seems to imitate that of an ancient Jewish wedding.....

Link --> End Times | Rapture & Jewish Wedding

Ancient Jewish wedding...
"During the betrothal period, the bridegroom would prepare a wedding chamber for the honeymoon. This chamber was typically built in the bridegroom's father's house or on his father's property. The wedding chamber had to be a beautiful place to bring the bride. The bride and groom were to spend seven days there. The wedding chamber had to be built to the groom's father's specifications. The young man could go for his bride only when his father approved. If the bridegroom was asked when the wedding was to be, he might well say "it is not for me to know, only my father knows".

Scripture...
Just as a bridegroom would have told his bride that he would go to prepare a place for her, so Jesus told His disciples: "...In my Father's house are many rooms or mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am John 13:1-3. In ancient Israel the bridegroom could get his bride only after his father approved. Similarly, Jesus said: "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be on guard! Be alert ! You do not know when that time will come Mark 13:32-33.

....and so on....

As for animals being raptured, sadly they won't, but God cares for them. Hopefully our pets will die before we go.

Blain... ignore the unchristian comments and those who mock. Interesting that my homepage scripture today was Proverbs 10:32: "The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable, But the mouth of the wicked what is perverse" - maybe this scripture was meant for you. I recommend reading Proverbs :)

I too am a cat lover. We have two and our neighbor helps me take care of a feral cat colony. God loves animals otherwise He wouldn't have created them. Not only did God make a covenant with Noah & descendants, but also with the animals, so they were also important to Him. As someone else posted, there is a scripture that speaks of God knowing every time a sparrow falls.

Psalm 37:4: "Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your heart"

Matthew 7:11: "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!"

I really believe that if you desire to see your pets again, you can make that request to God. He knows the desires of our hearts.

Katy_follower. Bless you for giving kind words to some one who was asking a genuine concern. I agree, we christians can forget to show kindness and love and become too legalistic with their ways. Beautiful post- Don't change :)

Hey Blain...Don't take any notice with the comments about your concerns with your pets. Just know that God cares for you and will consider every prayer you make.

I have a cat too and sometimes that thought crosses my mind. Christ said to live for the day. To be honest the rapture probably won't occur in your cats lifetime but if it did, then God is wonderful and will wipe away every tear from your eyes, isn't that amazing?

Just know that God loves you and will hear your prayers.

So Zone once again you are attacking me for my belief in the pre tribe rapture eh? Yes it is true I asked this wanting to know if I can take my cats with me because I dearly love them so much. But I had no intention of arguing with you yet again about the rapture. Zone, you know I love you. You are my sister in Christ, but I have being noticing in your posts that you do not show any real concern or love. You hold tight to your beliefs whether they are right or wrong and attack those who believe the exact opposite. Why does it matter If I believe in the pre tribe? Is that any reason to argue at all? Does my belief affect you? and if I am wrong won't the proof of your belief be enough? I can tell you do not like me zone it's not hard to tell, but I am what I am. My beliefs come not just from the word of God but from God teaching me as well. You can find so many scripture saying to have our hearts ready at all times for we know not the day nor the hour and how he will come suddenly and without warning. If in fact he could come any day at any second then how does the post and mid tribe fit in? All I am saying Zone is that you need to examine your heart as well as I to make sure we have our priorities and beliefs straight and built on love.

HI Blain. I am new here but your post caught my eye. I have often wondered the same thing except I have two little puppies. I feel silly when I do ask people that same question, but, like you, I don't want them left in my home to starve. So I keep hope that someone will come into my home and rescue them if the Lord does not take them as well. I am also contemplating leaving instructions with several people (on the down low of course, don't want people thinking I am totally nuts. lol) just in case. I hope they are all raptured out, but maybe it'll get passed down the line. lol

Creation is already "goaning in birth pains" , so I don't think that the tribulation is something we need to worry any more about (concerning pets) , than the present- day life. I do not think animals have souls and go to heaven, but I do think God cares a great deal for all of His creation.
......

[SUP]18 [/SUP]For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. [SUP]19 [/SUP]For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God. [SUP]20 [/SUP]For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope [SUP]21 [/SUP]that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God. [SUP]22 [/SUP]For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now. [SUP]23 [/SUP]And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. [SUP]24 [/SUP]For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? [SUP]25 [/SUP]But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.

Blain:

because i love you, and am concerned about you - i want you to know WITH CERTAINTY (and you can, for God`s Word is True) that there is NO PRETRIBULATION rapture.

therefore, you do not need to worry about your pets being left behind.

because i love you, and am concerned about you - i don`t want to see you led astray into mysticism where there is nothing but danger and deception. spiritual ruin.

it matters if one believes in pretrib because: the whole idea is part of an entirely FALSE construct overlaying the TRUE events and purposes laid out in Scripture.

if what you are saying is why does it matter if one chooses to not care whether what they believe is true or false, i guess the answer for me would be - it does matter, but if they insist, there is little to be done.

at the same time, if they insist, and insist on teaching it as Biblical Truth - it matters suddenly a great deal more....because others are now at risk.

Having the church (both the dead and living) being caught up together in the clouds of the air with Christ takes nothing away nor does it add to the scriptures and God's plan given to us in the written word. The church is surely a mystery from beginning to end. From the mystery of the gospel to our fellowship, of Jew and Gentile, to the mystery of faith and the bride of Christ, including the mystery of godliness and the seven churches, concerning the will of God and God himself as the indwelling Christ. All the way to when Christ appears in the clouds for his precious redeemed church to complete the redemption of their bodies, with corruption putting on incorruption and mortal putting on immortality, keeping that precious body and bride from that hour of temptation, the time of Jacob's trouble and the great tribulation coming upon the earth. What a wonderful promise from our faithful Lord and Savior to do these things for such an undeserving people who were called by his grace and set apart from the world they were called out of. To redeem us in such a way that we would be with him for all eternity as a spotless bride without blame or blemish. Woe to those who are part of that great time of tribulation whose days are shortened for the elect's sake (Israel and any Gentile convert) less no flesh be saved.

If your cats and dogs go up with you in the (harpazo) of the church, then count that as a measure of God's underserved grace and if not, their are pleasures forevermore at the right hand of the presence of God.

I use to think that those who did not believe the testimony of the scripture concerning the pretrib rapture of the church was attributed to simple unbelief, but the more I heard what they had to say about it, I now am convinced that they have been blinded in their unbelief. This is why they have to mock and ridicule because their mind and heart has been blinded from every aspect of the mystery of Christ and the church and they have no ability to discern Christ's appearing from his second coming.

Then Acts 1 is in error. We are told that Jesus will return in the clouds. Those who witnessed the event must have gotten it wrong. Paul did not know what he was talking about when he told the saints in Thess to comfort themselves with the knowledge that Christ would return and living or dead they would be with Him in the clouds.

Salvation is not dependent upon your belief in the rapture of the church. Only those who are saved will see the Lord come and hear the trump of the Lord and the voice of the archangel. Whether we live or die let us do all unto the Lord. When the Lord returns for His church I'm not going to tell Him that He must wait. I'm going with Him and I'm going to rejoice. If He tarries I'm going to be faithful and rejoice even in death.

you clearly have no clue what God's Plan is.
that would include your soteriology - h'obviously.

which makes your gospel another gospel.
and that makes you just another false teacher.

hi roger

1 Thessalonians 4
The Coming of the Lord
13But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. 14For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. 15For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord,d that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. 18Therefore encourage one another with these words.

anything there about a 7 year, or 1,000 year absence from earth, then later a Second Second Coming?
no, this is just talking about the resurrection.
