But Donkey, I must ask, is it intimidating for a guy to be asked out by/dating a girl who older?
I may be the wrong man to ask, I dated a 38 year old when I was 19......her age never crossed my mind, the only thing I was thinking about was how beautiful I thought she was. lol, it may be possible that I'm not normal in that area. In general though, I don't think age ever really intimidates a man but there are definitely some guys that have a preference for girls close to their age. I don't imagine your that much older than him, even 6 or 7 years isn't a big difference in the grand scheme of things. The thing that intimidates men the most is beauty.

I've mostly only dated women who were older than me, by as much as 8 years.

The relationships seem to go smoother and last longer.

If it's the same person I'm thinking of, YEAH. It's like....they haven't said a word in weeks. Or, it might just feel like it's been weeks since.

I woke up too early (well, by MY standards...apparently, babies have no standards...they decide they hate life, you try to fix it, they go back to sleep and leave you all lost and sleepy and they don't even bother making any coffee first).

I think I made some coffee? Oh, yeah. I did. Success!

I can't feel my fingers. Why am I even awake?
Ah, yes, that's right...a growling baby. I have one. She's the worst alarm clock ever.

I dunno..personally I'd rather have a growling baby alarm clock over one of those annoying beep beep beep ones that get louder with each beep. Those I wanna throw across the room & smash...babies,growling or not..ummm...nope,not so much. lol

But yeah...being woken up when yer' not prepared for it,kinda stinks.

After some of the things I've put myself through in my life, I think I might've (maybe?!) learned a thing or two. Things I wasn't really setting out to discover, but wouldn't have learned at all if I wasn't learning them the hard way. Because that's how I roll- gotta jump in and find out for myself.

I don't want to finish raising anyone's son for them. I don't want to raise any children who are over the age of 20 that I didn't give birth to.

Pedestals are easy to fall off of.

Gifts are nice. Surprises are nice. Surprise gifts given for the purpose of getting you to do something you don't want to do are the opposite of nice.

At the rate I'm learning things, I'll be the wisest woman on the planet in ohh...

Four or five hundred years.
Lord, please don't let me live that long...that sounds miserable.

I believe it was by 6-7 years. He was a close friend whom I developed feelings for, it was also the first time I was friendzoned. He was a dweeb. But yeah, I guess it was just a bad experience that made me wonder how I come across to younger guys.
the example you gave is a really good one of how easy it is to carry one bad experience forward like a girl scout badge and a stigma that affects you in the future.

you've got to shake it off! you're a catch! : )

i think God gives us things we can't handle in our own ability, so he might be trying to teach to use the strength of Jesus within us to overcome a particular thing in our lives. We should be praying for strength to match our burdens, not burdens to match our strength. All things are possible with god!
John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Hmmm, good questions.

Luke 23:34 ¶ Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. ....

Rev 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward [is] with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
Yep as to what his work shall be, either of self as to please others and God?
Or of Faith in his God's finished work through Christ Jesus, where God's work permeates through you, and your cup of God's love overflows through you, all God and none of me
1Cor 3 clear on Spirit works of God and flesh works of self, which ones burn up

The snow.....covered my feet in one spot. Nearly covered my entire lower leg in another spot. I'm 5'6''/5'7''. So you know the snow is deep when it comes to that point.
