Hello. I'm just curious about this topic. So, what is a biblical view on transgenderism, and should their gender identity determine who they should be attracted to? Thanks

Most people are born clearly with parts of one gender, and their DNA bears this out. Most of the cells in their body have Y or X chromosomes (those cells that have complete DNA.)

Let's say a man has surgery to get some parts cut off. That makes him a eunuch. He's still a man, but he's a eunuch. Let's say a man has some hormones injected to make himself grow breasts and he has a doctor change remove some of his parts and change others to make them appear female. He's still a man. He's still a eunuch, a eunuch who has had some plastic surgery.

If God made him a man, he's a man.

Jesus said that there are some who are born eunuchs and some who are made eunuchs of men. There are some people born without fully functioning reproductive organs.

1 Corinthians 6:9 {Basically, the same as for homosexuality}

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality,
Thank you for your vote.
Deuteronomy 22:5

“A woman shall not wear a man's garment, nor shall a man put on a woman's cloak, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord your God.

Leviticus 20:13

If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them.

1 Timothy 1:9-11

Understanding this, that the law is not laid down for the just but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who strike their fathers and mothers, for murderers, the sexually immoral, men who practice homosexuality, enslavers, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound doctrine, in accordance with the gospel of the glory of the blessed God with which I have been entrusted.

The Christian view is simple, Love the person. Don't stare, scream, or just walk up and tell them they are in sin. Instead, love them and be kind.

[h=3]2 Timothy 4:2-4[/h]New American Standard Bible (NASB)

[SUP]2 [/SUP]preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with [SUP][a][/SUP]great patience and instruction. [SUP]3 [/SUP]For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, [SUP]4 [/SUP]and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths.

To be kind, to not judge a person, to encourage and help them is part of being a Christian. That isn't what this post is about. We are wondering how God looks at this.

I think that we are to accept and make the very most of what God gives us, I don't think God wants us to change it. I have wondered why we aren't to mix fabrics like cotton and wool, but just obeying the physical command is never what God wants, but to understand the spiritual principal behind the instruction. I think God is telling us not to mix up how God created us.

Sometimes we are born with bodies that do not function properly. I don't think that is how God desires it to be for us. Paul called it a thorn in his flesh. We are to do the best we can with these thorns. To decide that you wanted God to make you a different sex than He made you so you take it upon yourself to change it is not right at all, God looks on that as sinful.

A tiny, and I mean a tiny number of people are born each year with the wrong body parts. The sex change op was developed for these people. However in this day and age people think that thier depression and mental issues are all down to being trapped in the wrong body, the medical professional basically operate on the happiness of the patient, so if a man comes to his Doctor and says "I am unhappy with my body I want to be a woman, that will make me happy", they will just go with it and give him a sex change.

The huge majority of transgendered people are just mentally screwed up and nothing else. My ex had a long relationship with one and his life story was tragic to the point where he was so mentally and emotionally damaged he went down the "I want to be a woman" road. He still looks like a man in drag, even with tons of make up and a wig.

I don't there is anything in the bible that says being Transgender is a sin.

In fact Phillip baptises an Ethiopian Eunuch.

I am happy to be shown any scripture to prove me wrong??

Php_4:11 Not that I am referring to being in need; for I have learned to be content with whatever I have.

Dan_2:43 As you saw the iron mixed with clay, so will they mix with one another in marriage, but they will not hold together, just as iron does not mix with clay.

The Eunuch wasn't transgender. A transgender denies the gender they are by how they feel and seeks to live as the opposite sex. This is an abomination.

Not sure about the bible but my personal view on this is: At the end of the day they are just people who want to be accepted and loved so I will treat them kindly and fairly and show them love. It's not my place to judge whether or not their lifestyle is correct that's all up to God to decide. Just love them and do not treat them badly because of this decision. All God wants us to do is love eachother and that's what I will do.

So essentially, you condemn most of the conservatives on this board that support big business?

Profit motive = bad?

PLEASE POST SCRIPTURE THAT SAYS SPECIFICALLY THAT THIS IS ABOMINATION OR ELSE IT'S JUST YOUR ASININE OPINION.

Eunuch does not = transgender. Very different things.

Nope. you gave a bunch for homosexuality. Nothing on transgender stuff.
I can't make you see what you don't want to see. You will see it as soon as you take the "blinders" off. Have a good night.
