As long as they are covered in the work place, no body cares even if ALL the employees has tattoos!! :D

Being able to cover tattoos in certain situations, such as when with clients is necessary, but I think you would be surprised at how many professional women - and men - have (coverable) tattoos.

Well, exactly.

Having said this, in my area of Canada men and women who work as bank counter staff seem to be able to have visible tattoos and no one seems to mind. I guess having it done has become such a widespread thing that employers are realizing more and more that it will be harder and harder to hire men and women without them, or if they insist too much on them being covered all the time, even in summer.

I remember my blonde period. Stripping my hair of its natural color then bleaching and processing it. Ugh my hair wasn't really healthy. I put highlights in to cover up a couple grey pieces of hair, but I like my natural dark brown hair now. It looks so much better than trying so hard to make it blonde. It's fun to experiment and I did that big time with my hair when I was younger, but now I wouldn't ruin my healthy hair for anything.

exactly! that's precisely how i feel.

my hair has been a rainbow of colors over the course of my life and i had a lot of fun doing it. but you couldn't pay me to change it from where it is today (or to sacrifice it for some color fun).

if i feel the need for a change, i just wear it straight. that's enough for me to be content. : )

My middle school and high school years had the occasional spurts of brutal violence. Worst one I ever seen, was a girl walked up to my table at lunch, asked someone if they were done with their tray.....dumped the food out on the table, and turned around and broke it over another girls head. A piece of it got stuck in her head and she had to go to the hospital. The girl fights were waaaay more vicious than the guy fights.
Guys didn't really fight in my school so much. But girls....

Routinely saw heads slammed into lockers, clawing, screaming and gouging. It was really bad.
Wow. I can't even imagine getting into a physical fight with someone. Or seeing someone else fighting like that first-hand. I musta really lived in a bubble. O_O

At 41 I'm beginning to get strawberry blonde streaks in my red hair whether I like it or not. :) I kinda do though.
Haha... Yeah, I am 36 and have quite a bit of "blonde" highlights in my hair these days too.

Yes simple is good. My hair is wavy sometimes, so I cut it to enhance the wave, if that makes sense. I just go with the way it is naturally, it looks better and it feels better.

Can I just say how much I appreciate all of you, especially today? Today was a rough one work-wise. A seared conscience is an ugly thing to behold. I beheld three. I can't imagine what it would take for God to cut through that, but I know He can.

Thank you for making me laugh. Thank you for an opportunity to talk with normal people about normal things. Thank you for an opportunity to testify to His greatness. May God bless you abundantly, especially today. I can sleep in His peace tonight. You all played a large part in that.

There's a chance I will be visiting South Dakota this summer (very much up in the air at this point). Part of me longs to; the other part wonders if I'm strong enough yet. A lot of heartbreak happened there. Tonight's one of those nights where a memory was triggered, but even as the tears spill, I look at how far I've come. God has brought me so far. He is faithful.

Write my own songs, I guess. If singing (while being a heathen) in church makes it wrong, guess I'll just try to sing in other venues.

It can be subjective since I have a tattoo on my foot/ankle and maybe in some countries ankles are "immodest" but...yeah. ..
Ms rachelsedge:

It's good to be sensible about the placement of tattoos.

Re. your comment, I think we can just remember that for example a woman aged about 31 who in 1965 wore the standard, fashionable thigh-high hems would now be aged 80.

So as regards the tattoo placement that you mentioned, it's good to be sensible, but I wouldn't allow yourself to be overly guilt-manipulated. It's quite possible to be a modest and confident tattooed woman.

Blessings.

That picture, graceHisrain, reminds me of the otters at the zoo (and, sure, I always want to participate in a cheerful hug to julieannie if that is what the picture represents :) ) .

But, yeeeah, OH!, how I love to watch the otters play, slide down the slide, slip around each other, dunk each other, accidentally, or, not :) And, that pic there kinda sorta looks like those are meercats, and, that reminds me of the movie 'Life Of Pi,. Wow, everyone talks about the boat in the ocean and tiger part but that meercat part just was a real trip, too, one that the mind could see, and, choose to believe, or, not. Just like Pi's re-telling of the story of the ship and sinking and tiger with Pi on the boat to the reporter, that version...or, the one where the survivors of the ship sinking just killing each other off from lack of food and plain ole meanness of the cook who killed Pi's mom, think it was. So, 'Which version do you think happened?' Pi says at the end of the movie, to the reporter..

And, doesn't that sound a little or, a lot, like creation, or, evolution? That question: 'Which version of 'in the beginning' do you want to believe things happened?' And, then when one wants to say 'Oh, the world was created by a big bang spreading out the universe into planets and Milky Way and stars and all the solar system, etc..... Hmm, let's think about that for a second. How did that version happen again? That version, too, if you want to believe it, didn't just happen, did it? The blackness of one big massive ball of whatever exploding into orderly masses, of all different sorts of personalities, if you will? It didn't just come into order out of disorder. No, even the atheists and evolutionists know that there is no such thing as disorder becoming order on it's own. There needs to be a catalyst, a 'change agent,' so to speak, for order to evolve. And, someone has to order the big massive ball of energy atoms and such to do something, to change. :) Who else could do something of that nature (pun intended), but one who is God, the creator of the universe, not just the big bang part either, long before that 'beginning,' like forever long before, because God has NO beginning and no end, He just is I AM, always was, always is, always will be
:)

Sigh, not on c.c. so much now, but PM's . And, that's OK, the Lord leads, I'm just stepping back, and, letting God lead me other ways now more, yep, He knows perfect, not just best. God knows better than 'that,' for He is perfect and will work us all to that way as we 'perfectly,' try, anyway, to follow Him . "Be ye perfect as I am perfect." He is, we aren't, but we are to strive to be. For starters, just follow where He takes you in life, walk and go and know. Doesn't that sound perfect :)

I'm just praying for everyone on here, knowing, if you draw nigh to Him, He will show His way to you in every single word scribed, from thread titles to posts to PM's that you write from you mind that is "of Christ" (1 cor. 2). It sounds a lot to believe, really, 'every single word I scribe, green, really?' Really :)

So, yeah, you , too, be praying for everything said needing prayer, or, give praise, thanks, as He leads you, just as 1 Thess. 5 says we are to do, 'pray without ceasing,' for teens, miscellaneous, bible, prayer, and, all the other forums, and, of course, my fave peeps right here, singles--I pray for your guys lives to be 'perfect.' :) God bless you all, KEEP following Him. Don't stop, ever, 'I have decided to follow Jesus...No turning back, no turning back. "...you follow Me." John 21:22 :)

I sure have a lot to say now, and, at 12:22AM Wednesday morning, or, Tuesday night, depending how you look at it. Why does the rooster cockadoodledoo at midnight, sigh. That thing is blind, I guess, or, just trying to annoy me no end. Maybe, it thinks it's a coyote (howling at the moon) :D

So, green's around, hey that's me ! But, yeahsiree, God is always blessing the green guy, for seeking Him in life. He's just doing less right now on c.c with him., weel, aside from my reading a few posts in threads, and doing a PM or two, or more. And, if we are following Him, then, 'less' is the perfect 'more.' And, I sure do appreciate your prayers for my life, too. God hears all our prayers and He answers them all too, in His timing and in His way that is perfect for us.

So, anyone ever asks about green, here I am ! And, sorry to not be saying more, but, I always have to let Him lead, and, I have to be pro-active too, just like Isaiah, the prophet said, so do I say, 'Here I am, Lord. Send me! ' I pray He is 'sending' you, too :)

Blue skies! *almost falls of chair*
Apart from a few glimpses of the sky, 2-3 times, it seems to have been clody since November

It has been incredibly cloudy here too for a very long time. Last weekend I was standing on my deck and realized we were finally having a cloudless night, and I could see a beautiful night sky. I stood there for a long time smiling and counting the number of constellations I learned as a child. It was a serendipitous moment I savor. :)

Sunny skies over the Netherlands... we probably skipped winter this year but I don't mind...

I rode my bike to the sea shore. There's was gentle breeze blowing from the south west: pure bliss...
