I don't mean to brag, but I think I'd be dull as a butter knife without any media at all.

: )
Good thread Allin. Actually, I did want to know more about the the practices of those you said in another thread you broke away from. The reason is, although I've been a Christian most of my life, and all my family are, I just recently found out that some of the traditional Christian things are wrong as wrong can be! It was quite a shock actually, but I am praying more than ever to be on guard and to beware of lies of satan. The more I study the Word, the more aware I am of that adversary, and how he has deceived the world in so many ways.

I saw a testimony of a man who said he had broken away from satan worshipers and gave a summery of what their goals were.

1-destroy the Bible without burning it
2-endoctrinate as many as possible with the theory of evolution
3-make people think the devil isn't real
4-thru education, teach young ones there is no absolute truth

To my knowledge I've never personally known anyone of the occult, and wondered if you'd care to shed more light. Though I don't believe we need to obsess about the devil, we need to be wise to his tricks.

As a person who rarely watches tv, whenever I do it is striking how fast it is evolving into total smutt, and it's weird to me that so many people can't even see it. They act like it's normal. I guess it's because as regular tv viewers they are like the "frogs in the pot" and it's been gradually getting worse. It's obvious to me who owns the media.
I don't know if you're talking about breaking away from an occult family or from churches that play games and think it's totally fine. You've met occultists, especially if you've been in churches; you just didn't know it. Here's some light on the occult and their work in America and in the churches:

'Occult' simply means 'hidden'. That means that whatever is tied to the occult can't be perceived with the natural intelligence. The occult has thoroughly infiltrated every area of society: the presidency all the way down to the school janitor who gives, with his keys, access to his people to use the school to do rituals and torture and other things they do. The occult includes every type of person in society: parents, teachers, professors, pastors, church leaders (deliverance ministers, intercessors, worship leaders, etc.), senators, politicians, news anchormen, businessmen and women, doctors and nurses, daycare center and preschool workers, owners of homeless shelters (and halfway houses, AA/NA groups, abused women shelters, psych wards and mental institutions, etc.), Hollywood producers and directors and actors and actresses, musicians, priests, church laypeople, police officers and law enforcement, judges, lawyers, members of all secret societies for men and women, bank owners and executives, owners of charitable and philanthropic causes, etc. It's necessary for them to thoroughly infiltrate all areas and arenas of society for several reasons; from this position, they make a circle around everyone and then begin to close in, squeezing tighter and tighter (slowly like the proverbial frog in the pot) until freedoms are lost and given up, everyone believes the same lies and thinks the same (making it easier to control people), and they can finally stage a complete takeover. (This is why those shooters always shoot up schools; they rarely go to malls where there are more people. Schools have children... and parents will give up lots of rights, even constitutional ones like the right to bear arms, to protect their kids. See it?)

The Bible tells us to know each other after the spirit (the real person inside) and to know others by their fruits (the fruit springing from the seed-- not personality but character-- the real person inside). Because Christians don't practice discernment, they entrust their kids to occultists claiming to be Christians and support others who they only know after the flesh (the outward). These occultists enjoy such 'hiddenness' that they torture and rape and molest children INSIDE churches, sometimes during church. Kids, when threatened, will often say nothing; but once in a while, it'll surface. Google Episcopalian churches and ritual abuse for several instances when these people were caught in the act. And be aware that America's longest running criminal trial is about sexual abuse and torture of hundreds of children: google McMartin preschool trial. This has been uncovered in several other preschools and daycares; imagine what is still under the surface. Many church splits and church issues and false doctrines have this hidden aspect behind them; but few people know because no one exercises their right to know by discernment. This is just the tip of the iceberg. While Christians argue with each other and play church, occultists agree together and play for keeps. Again, 'occult' means 'hidden'; don't expect satan to make his work apparent to you. You'll have to ask God to make you aware as you seek or purposely look (inquire). You have to have an inquiring mind to see it (which is why Christianity and the media are used to dumb down people and make them reactive (no thinking) rather than proactive (independent thinking)), otherwise, your best friends in church or those friendly neighbors on your street... who knows who they are. This is fact. It often takes a strong prophetic anointing or/and a genuine love of the truth to uncover these kinds of people and things.

Paints a pretty sad picture of the world. In essence what you are saying is that most people are on the wide path worshipping gods of their own making feeding the desires of their flesh. Good thing that "stronger who is in me than he that is in the world". Thank you for this as this is a call to vigilance in our faith in Christ Jesus.

Thank you Allin for your reply. I agree and do know that children are a prime target for the evil one, it's sad and disgusting and not many want to think about it but people need to wake up. People with children in their care need to be aware of how evil lurks around every corner. Music is a weapon used widely by the evil one, and it knows no bounds, not even "christian" music is immune, quite the contrary, that is a favorite target.

And churches have fooled many christians into thinking all they must do to be saved is "do time" inside church doors for a designated period and then they can live in freedom doing exactly all their flesh wants the rest of the week. What is very disturbing to me is to hear christians say Jesus did it all for them so they don't have to observe any law of God. the worst in my opinion are the ones who say it like this, "I have Jesus and do observe some of the law but it's not because I have to." Not because you have to? What does that mean? Didn't Messiah say from His own mouth He did not come to destroy the Law? And wasn't everything created by Him for Him including all the Law? Messiah is the giver of the law of the old as well as the new...a concept many christians deny as if Messiah has nothing to do with Moses! Nothing to do with Moses? He was that cloud!! He parted the sea!!

Messiah didn't preach "Me alone, and Me crucified" Messiah preached the Kingdom of God, and Messiah is the Way.

Taking a long look at christianity today and it is so far from what Messiah taught it is unrecognizable. Yes satan loves people who "play church".

And you are so right, the devil loves for christians to argue all day long, that is his delight!

I know where you are coming from. I see everything you list. I do have one issue with you. I will be happy if you can tell me who your God is.
You'll probably have to look and see for yourself.

I’m done…with the pretend smiles from fake Christians who ask the most ignorant questionsimaginable causing true Christians to stoop to answering the ignorant questionswith answers that they never grasp
I’m done…with Christians who walk into church like they are walking into their personalCountry Club where membership is exclusive
I’m done…with Christians acting as if they are perfect there was a r=thread on that

I’m done…with those who think children are too small to learn about Jesus and have a Children’sChurch that they are carted off to on Sunday mornings what in the world is thatabout
I’m done…with Christians who mock pastors that cast out demons in the name of Jesus yetare filled with something themselves Yeah a lot of Pastors are full ofsomething!

I’m done…with Christians who complain about church but have never given a dime to God’skingdom or helped any other small ministry
I’m done…with people who stand and cheer at football games on Friday nights but walk into church like they are at a funeral acting as if God did not say he inhabitsthe praise of his people or that whenpraise goes up blessings come down

I’m truly done not speaking the truth for fear of hurting someone’s feelings… no more limits… no more boundaries… no more pretend Christians, no foolish people … no more playing church… I’m done. Jesus did not die so His people could play church and be comfortable. How long will we “play church” while there are lostsouls to win, hungry orphans to feed, hurting widows to love, hurting hearts tomend, and broken lives to heal? How long?
There is nolimit to God’s power displayed through His people if we could just stop playingchurch and start being the church!
Well said. The Bible says people are known by their fruits-- fruit that comes from the inside out (character, the real person) not supposed fruit that people see (personality and success or failure in life). Because 'good people' can produce bad fruit and 'bad people' good fruit, it behooves us to know exactly what Jesus meant by the word 'fruit' (He explains in the following verse(s)). The proof of a person's life (beyond plastic smiles or stoic frowns) is in the pudding for those who know to look IN the pudding and not on its surface.

It's a bleak picture, but the truth is greater than facts. It's only bleak because so few know or do anything about it. It's not hopeless, but before you can really know that the One in you is greatest of all, you have to know how powerful or bad the one in the world is. As we come to know the enemy's work on this planet and see the reality of it, our faith is able to become more genuine so that we're no longer presumptuous and wave satan off with nonsensical remarks but understand the level of his involvement in human affairs and the depth of the wisdom he still possesses to thieve, murder, and destroy. If you have to fight a weakling, you won't have much faith because you don't need it; but if you have to fight a brutal and sadistic serial murderer, you can't talk anymore, you have to walk... and you'll need faith. satan isn't a pansy; but Christians who don't want to live responsibly choose to negate truth and claim they can topple satan by waving a magic wand (the Bible) and using the Name of Jesus like a talisman. It doesn't work; their lives bear witness.

yes Allin,
our words do truly reflect how much of God's Heart abides in us.

excerpt.....

He would spew out the true, though he knew it was of no use,
for every member had an excuse for their behavior.
He would not waver from true speaking,
for he was seeking favor with God as the assembly
would nod their dis-approval and call for his removal and shame
so they would blame him for all of their faults and vault themselves
to a higher position.
But to his mission he held fast, for his bast was quite think and
he knew the congregation to be sick.
He would not trick with false words, but the flock only heard
the absurd and foolish, they were quite mulish indeed....

The day is not far away and many shall pay the piper,
I assure you of that...

oh just the fact that the same person who posted this rant against presumption and unteachability and disunity and fighting...on the very next page for no apparent good reason rudely snaps at a couple of people who may or may not have even been addressing him and doesn't seem to have been at all open to anything they had to say...

Ranting doesn't do any good, really, but each of us looking to see what we can do about it does.

It is true that living the walk with Christ is our best witness, but I don't think we can discount words. God's words have great power, but witnessing by thumping people over the head with the bible is damaging to our witness.

I see the occult in most of the unsaved people I witness to. They say they are very spiritual, they don't have to know the bible. That is code for "the devil has hold of me, I'm not about to listen to you". I spent seven years commercial fishing, an occupation often taken up by the rebellious. Not the business men fishing, but the ones on the fringes of that occupation. Almost to a man they called themselves spiritual. They are so influenced by occult that any policeman will tell you that they dread the full moon, as horrid things happen at that time.

If you look at the favorite movies of people, you can almost guess age of the person listing them by the favorites listed. The younger they are the less they understand that murder and watching people with no knowledge of what sex is made for is not really enjoyable or fun.

God has given each one of us a commission. We cannot perform that commission well without deep study of scripture. We can't perform well if we don't see scripture as from one God, a unit with one voice. We must know the reason for scripture, as a book about God bringing us to salvation to live on this earth well and with Him forever. All scripture must fit within this framework, all scripture must be one, part of the unit. We have no business taking any of this personally. It isn't about any one of us, it is about God and His word, we are only instruments of God. We will be personally attacked by demons for telling the truth, when we are attacked we have to know it is not us they are attacking, and usually not about wanting the truth told, but they are attacking Christ. At the same time, we have to watch to see if it is Christians correcting us, so we should learn from them. It takes prayer.

you know what grates on my nerves?

hypocritical rants from people who within not even twenty-four hours have been guilty of the very same things they have been ranting against...

pull the plank out of your own eye before you post your next rant...
Glad to see you read my rant Rachel. God's mercy toward me makes Him seem to have favorites. I assure you that He's pretty well and surprisingly pleased with me. Now, for your sins, go say about 100 hail Marys and 200 our Fathers, and then repent! Lol. Just kidding, just kidding. It's late and this is better than the biting things I had in mind. Now, soak in some oil for like several weeks and get the starchiness out. Use perfumed oil for a fragrance that washes away sourness. Okay, okay, I'm going about a good thing probably not in a good way, but I couldn't possibly get across to you what I actually would like to say to you. As for the plank in my eye, we've got it out most of the way, Jesus and I. I still don't get how people can balance with trees in their eyes however. But I think the only frowning God does regarding me is the sin in me. I have this sneaking suspicion (I sort of investigated it) that no matter what others may say of me or how they may view me, and no matter what wrong things I do and what sins I commit, He takes like a super great amount of delight in me (eye planks and all) that makes some say, "Hey! No fair!" It's one of those things that gives a great deal of confidence and especially peace; it makes you likeable too :) I'll be a hypocrite for this much favor believe me. "The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; indeed, I have a DELIGHTFUL inheritance" (Ps. 16:6). Amen :)
