Thanks :)

At least you didn't condemn me this time.

I'm sure you're pretty too.

Well I'm alright. I don't even think to much about looks anymore. Not that I walk around all day in sweat pants and dirty shirts, but I'm more of a natural person who doesn't put a lot of thought into it anymore. I brush my hair, teeth, put on a little mascara and that's about it. I don't feel that stuff is that important. As long as you don't stink you're good. ;)

Shamrocker: Well, you know what they say: "Marry in haste, repent at leisure".

It's always best to be very careful.
well, technically that's true.

i've made "being careful" a way of life.

balance is where it's at. : )

Hi Monica! while you're maybe kind of avant-garde in your tastes, and approach to fashion, etc., you're actually rather conservative and cautious, right? :)

Blessings.

One thing I learned from introverts: Those who do not talked, bored me... Those who shared to little, "forced" me to talk more than I ussually do.

The time I spent (45 min) with a Japanese girl traveling to the nearer city where we were (La Victoria) discouraged me to any further dating a a Jap girl, since I asked about their being -from another source- (just there) and their culture tends to be like "that" (too introvert), and I don´t like to play any another´s role.

Long lasting relationships aren't built on looks... But the heart goes a long way. Even scriptures say that beauty can be deceiving but a woman who fears The Lord is worthy to be praised :). And I'm sure that scripture can be applied to men as well.

I am not confident about my looks either by our society standards, but what I am discovering is that the closer I draw to God the more I start to perceive myself the way he sees me - and I tell ya - God views you as such a beautiful child of his! The more I draw close to The Lord the more beautiful I feel and this starts from the inside and then exhibits itself outwards.

Wow!

I read this because of Tourist´s reply...

Wow! HE WAS RIGHT as you are right.

To some of you were talking about looks.. Here is a good advice from my teacher, Mrs. M. from high school Deaf program. This was back in 1983.. 2 months before graduation... in a very small class for some course I do not recall. Just 2 girls and I. Yes I was only male in a room of 3 females. lol. Ok, back to reality.

I am blind in my right eye and it was easy for the girl on my right who broke down during class and was saying something.. then the teacher had to stop teaching class to give this girl attention. This girl was crying because it was almost over with our public school lives.. time to move on to college or work or whatever.. Well, she was telling the teacher that she really confused about her choice of a man. You see, there is a student who was not handsome. Tall yes.. average looking Hard of Hearing senior in our class (he was in different classroom in this class period when this happened).

Mrs. M told rest of us to pay attention to this advice for this girl who was confused since she wanted more handsome guy and was torn between her dream man and the classmate who had crush on her for SIX YEARS (since 6th grade).

The advice is (great for you all): You can have a handsome guy on the outside but UGLY inside OR you can have an ugly guy but wonderful inside but you can not have both.

I tried to prove her wrong.. I went out with gorgeous women.. terrible women!! Really. (no offense).
Instead I dated and even married who are not pretty.. but wonderful inside.. true!

I tried both.. does not work that way.. What you can do is really look inside first.

Long distance really works to see the inside however, online.. you do not know who you are talking to.. It appears not to work well for me.

I had a gorgeous woman whom I met in person after meeting online was terrible to me! Stalking!! Really!!

I have met ladies who are not pretty from online and they did want me.. but its not easy. Have to make twice as much to get to know someone than in person.

I prefer in person first.. If I can meet a lady in person first, then talk online, that is fine. That is what I prefer. But if God wants me to marry someone I have not even met in person.. I obey.

And marry her.

I forgot.. you may wonder what happened to that girl who was confused.. She gave him a chance and they dated for six MORE years.. and they got married.. they have 3 children.. I think they are just becoming adults now. Pretty nice! Right?

Brother, I pray you get out of that mindset your in. It's impossible for ANYONE, and I include Brad Pitt, Kim Kardashian, you name the celebrity............to get absolutely everyone they desire. It's also equally impossible for someone to be rejected 100% of the time providing they have a significant sample size (1 person is not a large enough sample). It's just a matter of finding someone you can connect with. Negative thoughts about yourself and failure to take action are the biggest problems any person can have in this department. Your worst enemy in the dating scene is always yourself. That goes for both men and women
Well I agree on that.

As a handsome man, I am offended by this. :D

No, seriously, I don't think that's true at all. Some people are comely on both sides. I would name some names, but I don't want to weird them out.

(*cough* *cough* Tintin *cough*)

I'm 35 (i'll be 36 in the summer) i'm still single. you still have time!
It doesn't feel like it. Time is going by so fast now. Based on current legislation I have 20 Christmases till retirement. It's likely to be changed to 70 before I retire however. I can still work of course assuming I can.

I find time annoying. There's never enough of it these days.
