Who is speaking makes a world of difference one says this and the other well,,no that is almost correct, but the way i was taught this is not required. As you can see anyone from the other side of the view would by nature "lump sum them all together",,some will make them deathly afraid, they will reject them at a glance,,,others they might listen to for a while. Who,,Who,is what I am asking,,,ad I know you(You) are not of any of the former i have mentioned, because I was listening, though you share a similar view,,,but who was listening?
Wouldn't you say that listening is the key to reading scripture? The listening must be of the entire word of God and listening to this word knowing it is a unit of thought only reflecting God and all of what God is. We are not to listen to a religious denomination interpreting God's word, but to the word itself.

Is there one poster that has read what the bible says about the law, using a concordance to find all scripture has to say about it? A little knowledge is a dangerous thing, as anyone reading these posts about it can see.

Actually, I think the greatest problem on CC is that people post as if they are the only ones who've ever studied or thought deeply about a topic.

Now, of course, there are people who haven't thought about a topic before and just believe a doctrine because they have always done so. But the trick is to ASSUME that they have. Think as highly as possible of those you have disagreements with, on the Sabbath, on the Law, the Rapture, a millennial kingdom, whatever, and give genuine form to that high appraisal by serving others with well thought out, reasoned arguments that do not attack the other person, but articulate with great care why you believe what you do.

And never go into a discussion if you aren't prepared for the possibility that someone will actually prove you wrong. That doesn't mean expect to be proven wrong, have confidence in your position, but if truth is truth, as opposed to your own opinion, you must always be ready to be wrong, because truth is not contingent on your opinion.

And..."above all, maintain an intense love for each other, since love covers a multitude of sins."

My hours of discussion with you on KJV threads would suggest otherwise, Kerry ;)

It would be great, Kerry, except the cross asks us to participate with repentance, and your posts point to that you consider yourself someone who can participate in the cross without any of your part in it, or any listening to anything else your Lord tells you. If all you see in the law is what Christ saves you from, but nothing you should repent from, you are reading law without any of the spirit and truth of the law.

joshua 1:8 Only be strong and very courageous; be careful to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, so that you may have success wherever you go. 8"This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success.amen and God bless

the problem is pride, A refusal to admit you MAY BE WRONG. a determination to prove you are right at all costs. even if your wrong. It is a closed mind, it is a weak spirit (if there is a spirit at all) it is a tendancy to not learn from the mistakes of people in the past. but to make the same mistakes they did, yet say you are so much better than they are.

and to add to what e.g. posted above, some folks are in churches and/or denominations that hammer the same verses or their view of Scripture week after week after week. they may not say but they heavily imply that their way is right and other ways are wrong. so folks come on here and here something different and they push back very hard on that. so some of this is what people have been taught.

yes being stuck in scripture can be a shame on the individual and cause a lot of confusion. so we should all take that in mind
