Tin, there's a couple of others that I've seen on here, and it just seems like you can see that they will probably be together. right now I can't think of who they are, and even if I did, I wouldn't say.

daughter #2 is in the kitchen making corn muffins, a half recipe, since I won't be eating them.
she is also going to attempt a cheese sauce for broccoli
broccoli in steamer
steak ready to go

I hope I don't freak out when it's time to go in the kitchen for the steaks and I see her mess, especially since I just cleaned the kitchen today.

Just be thankful she's helping, CatHerder. Just be thankful she's helping...

Saw pumpkin pies out in the bakery at the grocery store tonight- tempted but no, I won't ruin it for Fall.
^ does anyone else do that? Hold off certain things until certain times of the year for traditional, meaningful, nostalgic reasons?

I don't know if there is a term for it, but I do it a lot. Kind of an obsession. Songs too. I have a fall soundtrack that I made, and fall teas that I drink. I have a winter soundtrack. It's all about nostalgia- I get a high off it. A spark and I tingle all over. Feel alive. Even being in really old buildings. Old churches are amazing.

i do the "traditions" or "rituals" thing too.

for example, even though they sell those eggnog lattes in november usually, i won't allow myself to have one until the day after thanksgiving, aka, "black friday".

Feelings, please just stop. You're interfering with the more important things that I should've started hours ago.

That is how I feel about eggnog. I start drinking it around Thanksgiving and stop after New Year's day. Nostalgic is a poignant word.

So I've had time off of the worship team for a few weeks now. It's felt kind of nice. I'm kind of able to recharge emotionally. I think when I first came back, I tried doing too much too early on because you know. That's what you do. You get a little time to grieve then you're back in business. See, the bad thing is, it doesn't always work like that. Grief does not work like that. And so, I ended up fizzling out in every way because I tried doing so much.

On a completely unrelated note, my kitty is using my arm as a place to sleep.
