Luke 1:5-17
[SUP]5 [/SUP]In the days of Herod, king of Judea, there was a priest named Zacharias, of the division of Abijah; and he had a wife from the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth. [SUP]6 [/SUP]They were both righteous in the sight of God, walking blamelessly in all the commandments and requirements of the Lord. [SUP]7 [/SUP]But they had no child, because Elizabeth was barren, and they were both advanced in years.[SUP]8 [/SUP]Now it happened that while he was performing his priestly service before God in the appointed order of his division, [SUP]9 [/SUP]according to the custom of the priestly office, he was chosen by lot to enter the temple of the Lord and burn incense. [SUP]10 [/SUP]And the whole multitude of the people were in prayer outside at the hour of the incense offering. [SUP]11 [/SUP]And an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing to the right of the altar of incense. [SUP]12 [/SUP]Zacharias was troubled when he saw the angel, and fear gripped him. [SUP]13 [/SUP]But the angel said to him, “Do not be afraid, Zacharias, for your petition has been heard, and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you will give him the name John. [SUP]14 [/SUP]You will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth. [SUP]15 [/SUP]For he will be great in the sight of the Lord; and he will drink no wine or liquor, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit while yet in his mother’s womb. [SUP]16 [/SUP]And he will turn many of the sons of Israel back to the Lord their God. [SUP]17 [/SUP]It is he who will go as a forerunner before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers back to the children, and the disobedient to the attitude of the righteous, so as to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.”

If the temple wasn't Holy in Jesus' days, then it must have stopped being so after this, don't you think? Why did the angel of the Lord appear to Zacharias in the "Temple of the Lord" to give him this prophecy? Do you think this was a different temple? And from the very scripture that you quoted is says the abomination would be standing in the Holy Place. And then you explain further, that "there must be a holy place for it to stand in." - or did I misunderstand?
you mean the same God who appeared to mary? and many other people throughout the whole OT outside the temple?

Was he in the holy place. or most holy place? (2 different places. the most holy place could only be entered once a year by the high priest. but the priests could enter the holy place any time to offer incense.

Whatever was added - was for a reason...

The colons are there for the English -- to add meaning and significance to the English.

"Now, just think about this for a while... Let it sink in..." ;)

:)
so we are left to human interpretation, and must assume the humans who interpreted it and added these semi colons and all got it right.

Ok thank you.. I do not listen to, or trust men, they make mistakes.

nice try though.

I guess you only read the [ "original" ] Greek and Hebrew manuscripts... ???

So - you don't read an English Bible? ( They are ALL translated by humans. )

You don't believe that, with divine help from God, humans could possibly make a good translation in English?

God promised that He would preserve His Word. You don't believe that He is able to do that in English?

:)

off hand i don't know, but what i said is what i know to be True, Also, it is 3 1/2 years not three.
Actually it is 2-1/2 years. The Tribulation is 2-1/2 years and the day of the Lord is 1 year making 3-1/2 total. The scripture you are looking for is...
Actually the Tribulation period is one week which is 7 years. Now what you are saying about the 2 1/2 years may be true. And even what you say about the Day of the Lord might be a year as well. But regardless The Lord Returns after 3 1/2 years of the start of the 7 year Tribulation Period. It correlates with the 7 year peace agreement which is also broken after 3 1/2 years, it is broken because of the Rapture Event and World War III

O.K. taking any verse out of context and trying to place it in a context, is a sure foothold in error. Most scholars agree that the chapter refers to Jesus, and then they come to this week and they want to set it aside as being held in limbo untill the second coming of Jesus. since the second coming is a personal, one on one event, that obviously false logic falls completely apart. With the second coming being an event that has been happening everyday for the past 2,000 years, verse 27 has to refer to Jesus. the covenant confirmed is the second covenant or contract between God and the followers of Jesus, who could easily be classified as "many" when Jesus was sacrificed. In the midst of the Passover week, on Wednesday, Jesus was crucified. His sacrifice, put an end to the need for the temple and the daily sacrifice, which is why it will never be built again. Now it was 35 years until Titus (the prince who is to come) came and destroyed Jerusalem and the temple, fulfilling Daniel's prophecy. this is done for the "overspreading of abominations" meaning it was done to do away with the desire to sin, which is what God is doing on an individual basis to every soul in the world that can be saved. "He shall make it desolate" exactly, the "desire to sin" will disappear because of Jesus and God's work in the world. "even until the consumation" the consumation, the point in future time when God has consumed everybody's "desire to sin"and made the world perfect. Sin is desolate, there is no more sin or desire to sin, anywhere in the world.

THERE IS NO OTHER ANSWER, THIS IS IT, TOTALLY AND COMPLETELY EXPLAINED !

Sorry for the delay, but I didn't see your response.

Your response seems to side step the issue. BOTH were destroyed in the "1st century"! Never to built again, imo.

Compare Dan 9 with 2 Thes 2 & the Man of Sin.

Dan 9 says:

Dan. 9:24
Seventy weeks are decreed upon
thy people [ = Israel]
and upon thy holy city [Jersusalem],
to finish transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, [the cross of Christ]
and to bring in everlasting righteousness, [2nd Coming to Earth]
and to seal up vision and prophecy, and
to anoint the most holy. [ = Christ ]

25
Know therefore and discern, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem [Persian Empire commandment]

unto the anointed one, the prince,
[1st Advent of the Lord Jesus, could debate which event in His life]

shall be 7 weeks, and 62 weeks. [= 69 weeks]

It shall be built again, with street and moat, even in troublous times.

26
And after the 62 weeks [which follows the 7 weeks = 69]
[a time gap now follows before week 70:]

[EVENTS IN GAP: ------------------------------------------------------]
the anointed one shall be cut off,
[= the cross]

and shall have nothing: and

the people [=Romans] of
the prince that shall come

shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood,
[AD 70]

and even unto the end shall be war;
desolations are determined.

[END OF GAP: ---------------------------------------------------]

27
And he shall make a firm covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease; and upon the wing of abominations shall come one that maketh desolate; and even unto the full end, and that determined, shall wrath be poured out upon the desolate."

Go compare this to 2 Thes 2. The one who makes the covenant is a Roman since his people are those who destroyed Jerusalem in AD 70. After 3 1/2 years he causes sacrifice to cease.

2 Thes 2

that ye be not quickly shaken from your mind, nor yet be troubled, either by spirit, or by word, or by epistle as from us, as that the day of the Lord is just at hand; 3 let no man beguile you in any wise: for it will not be, except the falling away come first, and the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition, 4 he that opposeth and exalteth himself against all that is called God or that is worshipped; so that he sits in the temple of God, setting himself forth as God.

That sitting in the Temple would be an abomination of desolation.

Word order is the problem here, lets put them in the correct order, "
desolation of abomination" that sort of changes the picture doesn't it. this is exactly what God is doing through Jesus, Jesus died for our sins, and when God is done and has fulfilled His purpose in the world, all abominations, will be desolate, alright, I put it in context, see if you can stumble your way through it now.

The prophecy at Daniel 9:24-27: “And he must keep the covenant in force for the many for one week [or seven years]; and at the half of the week he will cause sacrifice and gift offering to cease”; points to the appearance of the Messiah at the start of the 70th “week” of years (Daniel 9:25) and his sacrificial death in the middle or “at the half” of the final week, thereby ending the validity of the sacrifices and gift offerings under the Law covenant. (Daniel 9:26, 27; compare Hebrews 9:9-14; 10:1-10.) This would mean a ministry of three and a half years’ duration (half of a “week” of seven years) for Jesus Christ.

The “covenant” could not be the Law covenant, for Christ’s sacrifice, three and a half years after the 70th “week” began, resulted in its removal by God: “He has taken it [the Law] out of the way by nailing it to the torture stake.” (Col 2:14) Also, “Christ by purchase released us from the curse of the Law…The purpose was that the blessing of Abraham might come to be by means of Jesus Christ for the nations.” (Galatians 3:13, 14) God, through Christ, did extend the blessings of the Abrahamic covenant to the natural offspring of Abraham, excluding the Gentiles until the gospel was taken to them through Peter’s preaching to the Italian Cornelius. (Acts 3:25, 26; 10:1-48) This conversion of Cornelius and his household occurred after the conversion of Saul of Tarsus, which is generally considered to have taken place in about 34 C.E.; after this the congregation enjoyed a period of peace, being built up. (Acts 9:1-16, 31) It appears, then, that the bringing of Cornelius into the Christian congregation took place about the autumn of 36 C.E., which would be the end of the 70th “week,” 490 years from 455 B.C.E.

The expression “cause to cease,” used with reference to sacrifice and gift offering, means, literally, “cause or make to sabbath, to rest, to desist from working.” The “sacrifice and gift offering” that are ‘caused to cease,’ according to Daniel 9:27, could not be Jesus’ ransom sacrifice, nor would they logically be any spiritual sacrifice by his followers. They must refer to the sacrifices and gift offerings that were offered by the Jews at the temple in Jerusalem according to Moses’ Law.

Although the Jewish priests continued to offer sacrifices at the temple in Jerusalem until its destruction in 70 C.E., the sacrifices for sin ceased having acceptance and validity with God. Just before Jesus’ death he said to Jerusalem: “Your house is abandoned to you.” (Matthew 23:38) Christ “offered one sacrifice for sins perpetually…For it is by one sacrificial offering that he has made those who are being sanctified perfect perpetually.” “Now where there is forgiveness [of sins and lawless deeds], there is no longer an offering for sin.” (Hebrews 10:12-14, 18) The apostle Paul points out that Jeremiah’s prophecy spoke of a new covenant, the former covenant (Law covenant) being thereby made obsolete and growing old, “near to vanishing away.”-Hebrews 8:7-13.

Mark51, you were lost before you began, The "week" refers to the passover week during which Jesus was crucified nothing else. so called 'theologians" couldn't figure out why, if that "week" was the passover week, why didn't the rest of the verse come true? It did, they just didn't understand it, so they created a week of years, and placed that "week' in limbo to be fulfilled when Jesus returned, which they would obviously see because Jesus was going to appear in the "sky" where everyone could see Him, God doesn't work that way.
God is at work in every soul in the world, and everyone, because of God's work in their life, will one day in the future get down on their knees and give themselves to God.
Now, God loves them just as much as He does you, now no matter what theological garbage you have been indoctrinated with, do you think God should abandon those millions of souls who have just gotten to that point, or who are still 10 years away from making that decision, just because you believe that the rapture should happen today?? Not gonna happen, God is not willing that any should be lost, and all we have to do is look at the Muslim world today and realize that these people, who are children of God, totally mislead, but still children of God, have a long way to go, to be taken into the Kingdom. They hate their brothers and sisters, the Jeues, In order to understand the Jeues and be able to forgive them, they must die, be born again, as Jeues, so they can live the life of a Jeue, who must die, be born as a pagan who is converted to Christianity, where they will have a three dunk baptism and then die and be born as a Christian, who will be baptized at birth, where God can place the final trials and tribulations on them, which will prepare them for entering the Kingdom. Everything happens for a reason, and as much as we would like to get from here to there in one life time, it can't be done. There are things that must be experienced by every soul, before it will be able to deal with life in the Kingdom, but we are getting closer everyday. Just as Paul and the disciples thought that Jesus was going to return any moment, and for Paul, and the disciples, he did, and took them with Him, He did, and they reside with us today as angels of God in God's Kingdom here on Earth, which is all around us but unrecognized for what it is.

by the basic rules of pronoun reference the 'he' in verse twenty-seven refers back to 'the messiah' from verse twenty-six...i tried to color code it to show how that works...

"Then after the sixty-two weeks the Messiah will be cut off and have nothing, and the people of the prince who is to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. And its end will come with a flood; even to the end there will be war; desolations are determined. And he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering; and on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate, even until a complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who makes desolate."

there are three subjects and objects in the first sentence...'the messiah' and 'the people of the prince who is to come' and 'the city and the sanctuary'...the 'he' in verse twenty-seven must refer back to one of these...

'the city and the sanctuary' can be ruled out because a city and sanctuary are not people so they are not a 'he'...
'the people' can also be ruled out because a people is a 'they' and not a 'he'
the only possibility that makes any sense is that 'he' is 'the messiah'

'he' cannot be 'the prince who is to come' because 'the prince who is to come' is not actually the subject of any clause in the sentence...'the prince who is to come' is only a part of the prepositional phrase 'of the prince who is to come' which modifies 'the people'...so 'the prince who is to come' grammatically cannot even be under consideration as something for the pronoun 'he' to refer to...
On this we agree. Now for the rest of the story...

Here is how I see this verse...

Dan 9:27 Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; But in the middle of the week He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering.

The first half of this week was the 3-1/2 year ministry of Christ. Mid week, He was cut off, (3-1/2 days = 3-1/2 years).

2000 years later...

And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate, Even until the consummation, which is determined, Is poured out on the desolate."

And the margin renders it...

"on the desolator."

Christ finishes the confirmation either during the 3-1/2 years of the GT or 3-1/2 years from the day He returns. I cannot say either with certainty.

Rachel, there is only one argument that can touch what you wrote (even though it is perfectly correct) the language rules that you are using were not known when the text as written, and probably not when it was translated. ignore John 832, he's clueless. what you didn't do was explain the 62 weeks, while it was 3 1/2 years from the time of Jesus' baptism until his passion, from the time he changed the water into wine, until the passover week was only 62 weeks that was the total length of Jesus' ministry. the seven weeks that is mentioned first is the seven weeks from his spiritual resurrection, until Pentecost the missing week necessary to make up the 70 weeks, as the passover week in which Jesus was crucified.

I shall endeavor to gain a clue...

From the decree there are 69 weeks...

Dan 9:25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

Seven weeks and sixty-two weeks. Seven weeks to rebuild the city and then sixty two weeks later Messiah appears. OK when was the decree?

There are actually FOUR decrees...

The decree of Cyrus in 536BC (Ezra 1:1-4). So sixty-nine weeks later (7 + 62) brings us to...

536BC + (69 * 7 = 483 days) (A day for a year Num 14:34 and Ezek 4:6) brings us to 53BC. About 80 years too early. So this one is not the decree.

The decree of Darius I in 520BC (Ezra 6:1). So sixty-nine weeks later brings us to...

520BC + 483 years brings us to 37BC about 64 years to early. So this is not the decree.

The decree of Artaxerxes I (Longimanus) in 457BC (Ezra 7:12-13). So sixty-nine weeks later brings us to...

457BC + 483 years brings us to 26AD. But since there is no year zero, we must add a year and we come to 27AD. Christ began His ministry in 27AD and was crucified in 31AD. This one is the correct decree.

But wait a minute, I said there were four decrees, what about the fourth one?

The decree of Artaxerxes in Neh 2. The commission to rebuild was in 444BC. So sixty-nine weeks later brings us to...

444BC + 483 years brings us to 39AD plus 1 for no year zero and we have 40AD. Way to late to be the decree.

So we must go with a 457BC decree and a 27AD - 31AD ministry of Christ. This works on many levels. An interesting thing about 31AD is that the Passover occurred on a Wednesday, the middle of the week that year.

Hmmm, I am trying to get a clue but by all means, ignore me.

You're still clueless:
Daniel 9:24. Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

70 weeks were the length of Jesus' mission from the point where the water was turned into wine, until Pentecost. Jesus was the most holy anointed. The coming of Jesus sealed up the vision and the prophecy of the messiah who was to come. Jesus' crucifixion made reconciliation for all iniquity. Jesus, made an end to sin, how? The fire of Jesus, or the sword of Jesus, God through the Holy Spirit working in the lives of every person in the world to remove evil from their lives and sanctify them for the Kingdom, through justification like Saul/Paul went through, which is the fire or sword of Jesus. To bring in everlasting righteousness – God uses justification unto sanctification for entry into the Kingdom of God. The way of Jesus will eventually put an end to transgression. It is impossible to end it instantly. If God had ended it instantly, we would not be here. That is why the theology of the rapture is a false theology.

25. Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

The restoring and rebuilding of Jerusalem, the street, and the wall are parables. The new Jerusalem that shall descend from heaven is built from the souls of those who have been sanctified through justification. The commandment to the messiah the prince (Jesus) was given to Jesus when the servants at the wedding in Cana were told " Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it." After that, Jesus began rebuilding. The "way" of Jesus became the "streets." Like Peter, every soul converted and justified became a rock or stone to build the new Jerusalem and the wall around it. The seven weeks, were the seven weeks from Jesus’ resurrection until the Holy Spirit descended upon the disciples in the upper room. No one can deny, that the times have been troublous ever since.

26. And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

The "war" is God's war against evil, and desolations are determined, by God, every day and will continue to be determined until all evil is destroyed. The people of the prince were the Romans. They came and destroyed the city and the sanctuary in 70 AD. A 100 percent accurate prophecy. After 62 weeks of mission, Jesus was cut off, arrested, and killed, but not for himself, for us. The ”end’ did come with a “flood,” of Roman soldiers.

27. And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

The missing week is thought to be a “week” of years in which the great tribulation will take place:

The one "week" is exactly that, 7 days, not 7 years, Passover week. Contrary to church tradition which has shortened this Passover week to one weekend, because the church originally paid for an Easter celebration. The Passover, Jesus' last meal, fell on a Friday. Jesus was arrested on the morning of the weekly Sabbath, Saturday, He was taken to the High priest’s home. Sunday the Sanhedrin questioned Him. Monday He went to Pilate, then to Herod. Tuesday He went back to Pilate and the people. Wednesday morning, the middle of the week, He was crucified. He had eaten nothing since the Passover on Friday night, so He died quickly. Wednesday night He was laid in the tomb. His body was not prepared, just covered with a burial cloth. Thursday morning was the day of preparation for the coming double Sabbath at the end of the Passover week. The women who would normally prepare the body, had to prepare food for the next two days. Friday was the ending Passover Sabbath, and nothing could be done. Saturday was the normal weekly Sabbath. Sunday, the women came to prepare the body. The missing week was never missing.
During this week, Jesus confirmed the “new” covenant with his disciples and followers, who probably numbered in the thousands, even though they were running from Him at the time. "The midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease," Jesus took the place of that sacrifice and the oblation with His crucifixion. While the sacrifice would continue for another 35 years, for those who followed Jesus, there was no need for it. Just as there is no need for it today.
"and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate," Through the fire or sword of Jesus, eventually, abominations will disappear throughout the world.
"even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
"
The "desolate," are those who do not know God. The "consummation" refers to the time when all evil will be destroyed. The pouring out of "what is determined," refers to the justification unto sanctification just as Saul/Paul had to experience.

A 100 percent accurate prophecy. According to the author of Daniel, 635 years plus or minus, before it happened.

I know the vast majority believe that the covenant confirmed in Dan 9:27 is between the Antichrist and Israel. I don't think it is, but I want to understand why so many people believe that way. Can you post why you believe so, and if you know of a second witness in the bible to back up this being the antichrist please post that also... thanks!
This is my take:

Status of Jerusalem during the Vision: Desolation (70 years as prophesied by Jeremiah). Vs: 1-2

Daniel understands the prophecy of Jeremiah and prayed to God vs.2-19

Part of Daniel’s prayer
Dan 9:4And I prayed unto the LORD my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;
Dan 9:5We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments:
Dan 9:11Yea, all Israel have transgressed thy law, even by departing, that they might not obey thy voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned against him.

All about the sinned of Israel breaking the COVENANT…

Gabriel touched Daniel and was given a vision vs. 20-23
Dan 9:23At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision.

The Vision:

Dan 9:24Seventy weeks (Duration) are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, (NOTE THIS VISION IS ABOUT THY PEOPLE (ISRAEL) and HOLY CITY (JERUSALEM)) to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

Purpose

1.Finish transgression
2.Make end of sins
3.Make reconciliation for iniquity
4.Bring everlasting righteousness
5.Seal up the vision and prophecy
6.Anoint the most Holy

Dan 9:25
Know therefore and understand, that from (TiMEFRAME OF 69 weeks)the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

1. The Beginning of 69 weeks period is the commandment to Restore and Build Jerusalem
2. The End of 69 weeks is up unto messiah the prince.

Dan 9:26And after threescore and two weeks (62) shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: (Within the Period of 69 weeks or immediately after):

(62+ 7)= after 62 weeks there is another 7 weeks to complete the 69 weeks

or (7+62) = after 62 is also the 69 weeks
Herein is the Destruction of the City (Jerusalem) and the Sanctuary (end of sacrificial services including sin offering):
and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
NOTE THAT IN VERSE 26…the issue of the destruction of city and sanctuary had already been discussed…

Dan 9:27
And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

In verse 27 we can see the last week of the 70 weeks.

The last week showing the existence of sacrifices and oblation (which is prior to destruction of temple)

To understand vs 26 Here is my take on that:

Dan 9:26
1.And after threescore and two weeks (62) shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: (69 weeks)
2.and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; (1 week)
The first 69 weeks is a period up until the messiah was cut off. (Deals with the end of sins of thy people),
Isa 53:5But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
Isa 53:6All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

The last week deals with the Destruction of city. (vs 24)

Verse 27 then is the big picture of the Last week (the destruction of temple and its desolation)

The Covenant being the oath that is written in the Law of Moses…by Bringing great evil (tribulation, distress, affliction) upon Jerusalem that has not been done since the world began

Dan 9:12
And he hath confirmed his words, which he spake against us, and against our judges that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil: for under the whole heaven hath not been done as hath been done upon Jerusalem.

It would be rather interesting to see some scriptural and historical verification.

When and what was the transgression of Israel?
