Would I my Man-Card revoked if I failed to pick up a heavy weight at the gym, and then suddenly a female bodybuilder comes over and picks it up for me, and says "Here ya go, little buddy!!!"

Just wondering!!!!

Not if you immediately offered to spot her for her next set. Chivalry is manly.

having worked as a tailor, I see nothing wrong with a man who can tell the difference between A-line, Pencil, Empire waist, etc
Oh, good stuff! But I don't know what you're talking about. All I know is what I do and don't like in a dress, aesthetically. Admittedly, I find it much more difficult to find something that looks good on me (obviously not a dress - haha!). Maybe I need some help in that department. Clothing department, that is! :p

I'm guessing that Arlene is the obvious answer.

I dunno what they would be tagged as in the Southern Hemisphere, but were you a yank, I'd advise you to look for "Athletic Cut" or "fitted" men's dress shirts, because your Avatar pic leads me to believe you are a taller, slender chap, leaving most button down shirts with too much around the waist by the time you find one with proper sleeves. That, and skip the pleated pants, unless you're going to a retro early 90's theme party and can find something in the way of the Z.Cavaricci look...but even then only as a period correct gag.

I'm not sure what they're called here, either. I'm good for dress shirts but I do need more help in the trousers department. Those that are my length are far too wide at the waist and those that have my waist are much too short. Thanks for the ideas though. Yes, you're right. I'm tall 196cm (6'5) and slender (85kg, not sure what that is in pounds). Cheers. :)

I wanted to suggest something though I am not sure if you have already tried it. If you go to a branded store, ask for their slim fit formal trousers. They are not skinny or tight fit. The trousers are flat-front and they are perfect for someone with skinny legs. Oh and they are also free-length so you can ask the in-house tailor to measure your length and stitch up the cuffs for you. If you have already tried this, please ignore. :)

We're talking about clothing, in the thread about man cards. Unless it's a three piece suit or something, we're entering the realm of conversation drift.

Men, we're slipping! Time to up the testerone levels with a gore filled action movie.

I've been seeing a lot of mention lately about a certain equine-related cartoon that has a lot to do with friendship. I'm getting the feeling some guys have turned in their cards permanently...

Would I lose my man-card if I passed by an attractive woman that was having problems putting her bike's chain back on, and she said "Hey Mr. Handsome, could you help a girl out and put the chain back on my bike?"

And I reply, "You actually expect me to get my hands dirty and greasy after I just had a two-hour manicure and soaked my hands in lavender-scented herbal water? Are you insane? When you eventually fix your bike (and you will fix it yourself) I want you to go home and think about what just happened here. Live and learn, Lady! LIVE AND LEARN!!!"

Clearly you have ensconced your man card in a clever man-card-case you learned how to make on Pintryst.

Let me take a guess on what those terms mean.
A line - well, the dress is probably shaped in the form of an A. (easy peasy)
Pencil - must be a fit which hugs the figure, probably for girls with a slender frame
Empire waist - WHAT??? How politically insensitive can you tailors be!! :p

I found this little note in Ugly's wallet while looking for my man card. It has some rules and guidelines for what is an offence and what is not. It turns out that the man card has 12 points. There is a points-based penalty system for every offence. I couldn't go through the list in that note, but here are a few ones I noticed -

Watching soaps and chick-flicks - 1 point
Being assisted by a girl while lifting heavy weights - 2 points
Grabbing the arm of another man while watching a horror film - 3 points
Grabbing the arm of a woman while watching a horror film - 5 points
Being mushy and name-calling on CC Singles Forum - 10 points
Applying lipstick and nail-polish on self except on a dare/Halloween - 12 points

Clearly, Ugly has not been following the rule book. He has not deducted the points but he has instead confiscated our man cards. I think we need to lodge a strong protest against this act of injustice.

Do we deduct 10 points for each infraction? Because Tintin and tourist might have lost their cards a while ago. and not for name calling...

Yeah but he's been more mushy too. I bet y'all are both about even now. Both of you are in the hole, at negative points, but you're both about evenly in the hole. ;)
