Ha, I'm exactly the opposite. I can't just pick out an electronic device in the store... I have to get on-line and read a gazillion reviews about it, find the best price, and order it based on what everyone else thinks about it.

Perfumes though, yeah, have to smell those myself. Shoes, gotta try those on. But stereo speakers? AMAZON!! :p

What I didn't mention is that I would read up all the online reviews and then go buy it physically. Hah! Betcha didn't think I was that smart eh? :p

When it comes to music stuff, it's the same. I read all about it online and even the reviews about different products. Then I go to a brick-and-mortar store, check it out and then buy it.

Today evening I found that some sites in India were selling some Emporio Armani and Tissot watches for $100-$110. I was tempted to buy one of them but then I decided to buy it ONLY after checking it in the store. The problem with online goods is that there is no way you can verify if the goods are original until it is delivered at your doorstep and you have opened the packaging. That's a good enough reason for me not to purchase online. :p

Ahh, the glorious world of online shopping. My brother and I were actually shopping on Amazon together yesterday. We just bought some better audio/recording equipment to take jam sessions to the next level >:]

I just purchased a hard drive enclosure at Walmart.com, $23 tax & all. I like to do that even if the price is a few dollars higher because of their satisfaction guarantee & I can return it directly to the store without a hassle. Just makes sense to me.:)

Books -Kindle, hard copy and text books.

Music - Christian, and classical, mainly

Other things in the past - a neck massager, which I tried first at my DIL's house
- pills to help the liver (didn't notice any difference!)
- flute case

All these things were bought on Amazon.com and Ebay, by my DIL, who then brought them back to Canada for me, so I didn't have to pay the outrageous shipping charges to Canada. I try and buy Canadian only because of shipping charges.

Stephen: Aye, if I needed an enclosure I'd probably go to Wal-Mart too. For the hard drive itself, I'll get something better online. =^.^=

I saw where this woman once put up her house on ebay, auction for guys ONLY, and the winner got as a bonus... her. Yup, the buyer of the house would get her as wife.

I found Ebay a little over a year ago and you name it they got it - old and new stuff..... For Christmas a couple of years ago my daughter and I wanted to give her boyfriend a guitar for Christmas but wanted him to be able to pick out what he wanted so she found a guitar tin that we put the cash in for him to go and buy the guitar of his choice. I thought that was a really cool online purchase.

I love to sew and have taken up quilting so I have purchased, material, sewing tools, lace, embroidery thread, crafting items online and getting ready to start a business 2015 called Darlene Things.....yes, my name is Darlene.... Hand Crafted Items + More.

Nothing like throwing a little advertisement in at the same time right?.....lol
I have an original Darlene Things item - it is called a mug rug. I was hesitant to actually put my coffee mug on it so I now use it as a place mat for my bible. I call this item my 'bible cozy'. My bible was given to me by Darlene also. It is one of my most nicest darling Things from the woman that I love.

The only thing I ever bought online was an e-book called "Online Shopping For Dummies". I still haven't received it in the mail yet, maybe it's back-ordered!!!

I've never gotten into the shopping on-line thing probably because I'm one of those people who by nature has to see/touch/feel something prior to buying. The only things I've ever bought on-line was a used wiring harness for my old truck from a guy on an automotive forum and the keyboard that I'm typing on. The wiring harness could have taken literally months of browsing through wrecking yards to find so the on-line purchase was somewhat worth the risk, and since I use a laptop anywhere I would have purchased a replacement would have had to order it in anyway.

I do not recall how the auction ended, but the woman was dead serious about it. As I recall she got a lot of people posting bids for astronomical figures - cranks, not serious bidders.

But if she did finally make the sale, it would have been sweet for her... she'd still live in a house, whatever house her new husband lived in. And she'd have the money too.

Jewelry (I love dainty silver bracelets), unique things for my office, clothes, shoes, books, music, guitar picks, my bike. I don't shop online much though. I like going to stores and looking around, even if I don't buy anything.

I have to buy two guitars and one keyboard. And maybe an M-Audio sound card with some decent recording speakers.

Before that I gotta sell off my 3 guitars and my keyboard. Anybody wanna take them off my hands?

Is it an 88-key keyboard? If so I'd like to buy it.

And the speakers you're getting, reference speakers? If so, what kind have you selected?

I have an M-Audio Ultra 8R and I can attest it works well. It's an 8-input though, you might not need that for your use.

Edit: Wait, what? You're selling a keyboard and guitars... and buying a keyboard and guitars?
