Guys are going to be a little different, I have been married to the same loving woman for over 32 years, and she still take me the wrong way sometimes, its just a different kind of since of humor, I dont mean to sound mean, but sometimes it comes out that way to others. I am accually a kind loving person able to serve by Gods grace. But I usually say what I think or feel, with love. Sometimes we have difference's, Like some people feel like there are no dumb questions, I feel their are, thats just me, I'll try to do better,,,,,,,,,,, then their's the No water guy

Seriously, the bible discussion forum lately has a very bad vibe goin' on in there.. I stay out of there as much as I can. I only go there to comment on YOUR threads! LOL.

I understand things can be a bit testy at times here! The cool part is that 2 cor 13:5 in much better understood by those who pay attention to it. hehe As to how, or even if one should answer. Wisdom can be silent as well. Something to consider at times here. What really is of interest to me,is not so much whether a person agrees or disagrees with us,but why,and show scripture as to that reason. The idea is to come together to reason together.( Isaiah 1:18) And if that person cannot reason with you,or does not wish to,just remember Matt 7:6 lol And let it go!
Seems like the discussions provide very helpful information for our edification but i also think that the discussions are also a stress reliever for some ......just saying......
The reason i say that is because i've never seen anyone be convinced to change their thinking when scriptures that show them to be wrong is thorough and well presented.
later on when a new thread comes up,you will see the same person still debating the same thing and still unconvinced.

Unbelievable christian men and women, want to shut down a BIBLE discussion forum, wow..smh..scared? I've been cursed, rebuked, and condemned here in under a week I would like someone to tell us why their scared, ...I don't want it gone, been through much worse, maybe this is trials for some of you, I want understanding, some of us are actually studying the bible. Want it gone, the devil is a liar... If you don't want to go in to it, understandable, don't go, if it's out of your understanding of things or faint hearted, some can't help that, but don't try to prevent others from learning and discussing the bible, what is up here? Is this about the bible forum or about us?
They wont ever remove it cuz it's one of the most active forums on here. But a few threads have gotten out of control lately, with insults and namecalling being thrown around. What kind of message does that send someone new when they see someone write "stay out of bible forum, it's scary in there"? I went in there the other day to ask a question about hell because another user asked me a question about it and I didnt know the answer for sure, and someone tried to suck me into a debate about Ellen White..I was like, nooooooooooooooo..... lol I rarely go in there because it's nuts in there. People act like their rabid sometimes, vehemently trying to prove the same point 10,000 times over.

Yeah alot of the threads in bible forum have a very negative energy in them, and I can feel it. I don't do well with negativity, it just drains me emotionally and I'd rather not go back to the negative space I was in before I came to CC, so I will stay in some of the lighter, more fun forums like christian singles and miscellaneous..lol

The forum in itself is a good thing, and a good place for discussion.
The problem is when people start judging people, criticizing, and making false assumptions about people. I have an inkling to start calling more people out on that, maybe start reporting more, especially after reading some of the valid "reporting" criteria.

I'm pretty new here but here is my opinion:
The Bible forum has some pretty interesting discussions and many differing opinions. Being a young Christian that is simply learning the Bible, and not yet well enough versed to really discuss things like many of the people here do I mainly find myself simply reading and making mental notes about different thoughts, and studying different things discussed and forming my own thoughts on the subject. So I use the forum as a means of learning, and forming opinions of my own. I see the occasional conversation get a little heated but until it comes down to personal attacks, I think being passionate and fiery (for lack of a better word) about God and the Word is perfectly acceptable. And not to mention a Christian forum without a forum for Bible Discussion wouldn't be much a Christian forum, in my opinion. So I'm solidly voting "No" on removing the forum all together.
