Shouryu wooed me with his larp gai.
Quickest way to a woman's heart is through her stomach. *smirk*

And here I was thinking a "larp gai" was either a song played on some kind of exotic musical instrument I'd never heard of... or else some kind of ritual mating dance exclusive to Asian culture.

(Hey, if it works, I'm going to sign up for lessons. After all, being pseudo-Asian... I need to master the finer points of my own culture...) :)

As for Crushes, so tonight, I asked my Moosey,

BPie, "Do you like the Symphony?"

Moosey, "...yes... as long as you're sitting on my lap while I'm listening."

I like major chuckle, "What?! In front of all those people?"

Moosey, "What people?"

You've gotta dress not to impress. Wear a hat made of leaves, blend in with your surroundings - that kind of thing.
I'm sensing the makings of a pamphlet here... "How To Sneak Up On Your Crush... If You're (John) Rambo..."

I could hide in the mud, take out a small foreign army without being seen, and THEN sneak up on my crush.

All while wearing my beloved cowbell. And neon shoes. He'll never see me coming.

Decyple's arm wrestling techniques had me swooning (after I beat him and made him accept American puritans as totally legit.
Whoa, slow down there Miss Grace-Like-Edwards!!!

I do not recall "losing" that arm-wrestling match, I simply forfeited because................... I had to do my hair that night!!!

By the way, you spelled my user name wrong in your post, which means that although I did not win an arm-wrestling match against you, I would definitely win a spelling-bee tournament against you. After all, its the "English" Puritans that I read, so the English language is second nature to me.

The only thing I've learned from American Puritans is that turkey is a good Thanksgiving dinner!!!

i'd prefer heavy meats for thanksgiving, in our country we don't celebrate thanksgiving but we have sabbath..
every new year's eve I mostly cook meat for the whole year blessings thanksgiving:).
and it's my favorite occassion..!

This thread intrigues my curiosity toward whom may or may not have ever considered me...

I don't want to spoil any of the fun here, so please keep posting about crushes :), but I do want to warn people to be careful.

In my time on CC, I have had many, many people write me and say, "Hey, I used to be..." and sometimes, they would be a girl posing as a guy or vice versa. The number one reason they gave me for doing this was because they had a conflict with someone on CC and/or a CC relationship that went bad. Many times, you could guess who they used to be just from their style of posting or from what they said, even if the personalities seemed to be completely opposite.

For some reason, I've also found that it's very hard to convince people otherwise if they are seeing what they want to see. The person could probably be standing right there in front of them (though they wouldn't be, of course, because they are hiding their true identity) and they still wouldn't believe, or would readily believe any excuse.

As I said, I don't mean to judge anyone, I just feel it's wrong to deceive people about who you are, even if it's on the internet and seems harmless. It's not. People's hearts get broken here just as much as in real life.

All I can say is, friends, save yourself a world of grief.

Make sure you know who it is you're talking to.

I myself have thought of leaving for a while and coming back. But I'd either use this name again, if it wasn't being used, or I would publicly announce who I used to be so that if people remembered me, they would know who I am. This is just my own conviction though--I believe that God deals with me strongly about being honest, and that includes being honest about myself.
You are one of the most honest and open people on this site. You are certainly one of the most interesting. Amusing too. Someone that is well worth knowing. A strong spiritual woman of the Lord and someone who is not afraid to face the challenges of day to day living with a song in your heart.

I was thinking the same thing. I was pretty sure that a woodwind quintet I once played in performed "Larp Gai in F# minor," but I guess not.

Well, I'm fairly new here, but I can honestly say I am crushing on someone here. His knowledge of The Lord is very admirable and I highly admire a man who craves knowledge of The Lord. But, even all that aside, he's very meticulous with each and everything he posts on here, and I'd love to get to know more of him.

I've had...4? crushes during my time on CC that I can remember, in the 2 years that I've been here. And, just like in real life, I get said crushes easily and do not tell anyone who my crushes are.

And no one will tell in here either. All the married/dating couples will make the obvious joke about having a crush. And everyone else will just come in and say 'yes i have'. And that pretty much defines this threads content. Which was all obvious and makes me wonder what was expected of this thread to begin with.

What I'd like to know is does anybody who has/had a CC crush ever TELL the person that they have a crush on them, or would that like...make the universe implode or something?

Eh, I'll go for it. After all, I told a few people about the crush I have in real life, might as well do it on here.

**Disclaimer: Please do not feel weird if you see your name listed here. These are/were just crushes and I 100% am okay with how things are, you do not have to respond.**

TinTin - I had a crush on you when you first started. It ended long before Arlene so I hope that doesn't make you or Arlene feel weird. :)
