if this is a thread where we post something that we all agree on.....why do people post things that some do not agree with....are you saying I must agree with everything posted here?....there are lots of posts I agree with...those that I don't I say so....if you have a problem with that then don't read or respond to my posts

Ok strike two your done. How about you post a passage of Scripture without trying to give your own personal commentary on it. If it's from God's Word then sure as heck everyone should agree, but when you try and give your own personal interpretation is for sure a self righteous act of know it all holier than tho prideful garbage.

Can you actually post a passage of Scripture without trying to tell everyone what it says? Or can you only try to make yourself look good?

Here's some Biblical truth...

Proverbs 18:2 "A fool has no delight in understanding, But in expressing his own heart."

a wise man receives correction. even 'loves' it. so yes, this is good. some things posted may not be agreeable with truth, but maybe this thread is not the place to point it out, even when it's obvious.

shalom
newbirth.

fact is bro those who are in Christ have been freed from sin....but some remain like prisoners in a cell with the doors open...
there is a reason the scripture teaches...we are our brothers keeper...
1 John 5:16
If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.

if a man corrects his own error ...he learns discipline....however when a man receives correction from another...he learns discipline, humility and gains respect...but the one who does the correction is in danger of being overcome with pride....or being accused of being self righteous or puffed up....

Such as......

A wise man sees evil coming and prepares for it!

So, maybe post some truth bro!

It seems that here - we're seen as fools if we post a multitude of The Word. :(

Actually dc the way I see it is this....if Proverbs 18:2 actually feels like an insult to someone then they must be a fool. Just my opinion but kinda makes sense :)

Actually every time the Word of God has been posted people agree. When someone posts their own personal commentary pertaining to a passage is when they start an argument. I have not seen anyone disagree with God's Word.

Matthew 5:22

Here is one of my favorites...

Isa 54:9 For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.
10 For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee.

Isa 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

Um...I didn't call you a fool or anyone else.

I said if anyone takes offense to Proverbs 18:2 then they must be a fool. And not only that but I'm not the one calling them a fool because it's God's Word not mine.

But if you really do want to argue this then start a forum and we can argue there.

Posting scriptures never makes one a fool, bad interpretation and opinions while rejecting context and what the words actually mean in order to teach a heretical dogma would be what makes one a fool it would seem....!

Amen to the truth of these verses for sure....I like the part (their righteousness is of ME, saith the Lord) and Like Galatians 2:16-21 teaches...being justified by HIS FAITH...the FAITH OF Jesus Christ!

Nor would we and I agree......it is the opinion, conjecture, guesses, supposition and heretical dogma that cause division, arguments and disagreements for sure......and after all we are all experts and have a complete understanding of the word.....!

The word of God is of no PRIVATE interpretation......

Line upon line, precept upon precept a little here a little there.....
