why in the world would Christians think the torture instrument on which the Lord Jesus died is pagan?
i mean, it's not as though it's Christmas.
(i'm sure any minute now someone will come along and instruct me.

Tammuz was one of the names of Nimrod as he was believed to be a god. The T of Tammuz was tuned into a thing of worship. Necklaces worn by devotees. The Catholic Church, true to form, could not resist this pagan practice so abracadabra the crucifix.
To venerate or worship the cross indeed is a pagan practice., idol worship as it were. As far as the cross, in and of it self, is simply a roman practice of execution.

If anyone believes the cross is pagan then they need to question their faith. If Jesus saved the world on a pagan image then his whole testimony is corrupt. i mean Jesus is holy in every way and would never allow himself to defile the act of salvation by doing it on a pagan image which pagan images are a direct line of satan mocking God.
So if the answer is yes our whole faith is based on paganism
