Here's some other effects you could do. Although for some reason when this guy does a cube switcher his screen flickers. I never had that problem.

Some of y'all know that I've been in a custody situation with my son's father. After a year and a half, it was miraculously resolved in mediation a couple of days ago. The big stuff went in my favor, so it was about 95% great--much better than it could have been if we had been before a judge.

I had a lot of church people praying for me, so I gave them the update tonight. People were polite, but I got the sense that either they didn't really understand the profundity of the situation or didn't really care that much. I'm not sure how to process this.

Good to have you back. And glad that things have gone mostly in your favor with your son. People probably don't really understand or know what to say, especially if they've never had to face such hardships themselves.

So happy for you.............maybe they just didn't understand......or didn't know how to react? Still, if you are content with the outcome...........thank God for that!

God bless and keep you and your son...........

Yay! That's awesome news, Melissa! Seriously happy for you and your son. I know that this has been a serious stress-causer in your life, and I'm glad your ordeal is over. ^_^

@Lynx: Oh, wow. I grabbed KDE simply because it looked nice from the stills and I had never used it before. I find Cinnamon and Mate bland, but not repulsively so. This was just new to me, so I went for it. That cylinder/cube thing is pretty nifty, at least! Reminds me of Win 7's 3D flip.

Siberian: Yeah, KDE is big on visuals. I use Cinnamon myself because I never did go for visual effects, but KDE sure is handy for impressing other people.

You got it backward though. Linux didn't follow Windows, Windows 3D flip imitated what Linux had years before.

If my Husband was a auto mechanic I'd spend so much less money on inspection every year.

Yesterday I turned on the TV and the end of Dr. Phil was on. They where showing a preview for a show coming up about several women who met the same man on line. Part of it showed Dr Phil saying, Ladies meet the person that was behind all this. My Husband said, wouldn't it be funny if it was Regis Philben?

In a world where borrowing from someone/something else is commonplace (and in a world with Microsoft), I'm not surprised. And now 3D flip is gone altogether─not that anyone used it anyway, haha. I didn't say who took from who either which way, though; was just waxing nostalgic. :p

[after explaining to someone the office procedure for a new patient: forms, exam, treatment, prices]
caller: i've been to a chiropractor before. why do i need to have an exam?
me: ......................... because you would be a new patient, and the doctor needs to see what exactly is going on.

If I haven't wronged you, offended you, annoyed you, or lashed out at you yet, don't worry, I'll get to you soon enough.

This is pretty much me right now. There's so many emotions going on at once I can't keep track of them. From being sick two weeks ago but still haven't fully found my energy, I should probably get that checked out, to two days ago marked one year since I graduated in my mom's hospital room, to there is a wedding in two days and I fear the worst about my bridesmaid dress, to the one year mark of mom's passing...

And that was one really long run on sentence that I'm not going to bother dividing up.

Apologies will be sent out next week. You think I'm kidding? I'm not. I might actually be sending one of them out today. Not sure yet.

Yes. But as a mailman, he gets to snag all those extra pizza coupons from flyers.

Good. I was beginning to feel neglected.

I don't have a lot of time to look into right now, but there are quite a few agencies that can help you with those things- the first place to start would be the local WIC program. They can at least point you to the right people who can help you get a car seat. I know that in Colorado, the state patrol also helps with car seats, so you might try talking to them as well.
I called the sheriff's office to find out if I could get a car seat, they only offer car seat inspections and classes.

I assume or hope you get WIC help, it's a great program. Talk to your counselor there about the car seat, they should be able to point you in the right direction. OK here's another idea, I'm not sure how comfortable you'd be with this but you could start a Go fund me page. Just for the baby stuff.

When I had my Daughter I was in your position, heck I'd donate what I could to you. I can't tell you the number of people that helped us.
I haven't tried to get help from WIC. The insurance I'm on, offered a free car seat, but I have no idea where the paper went, to apply for it. I'll just have to find a number and call them.
I'll look into a Go Fund Me page.

"We are delaying the funds from the check you deposited because your account has had insufficient funds in the last six months"

Seriously? So because I don't have money, they aren't letting me touch the money that put in account. I need a new bank.

Banks are evil.. but you probably know that. I hear credit unions are better.
