Youve pretty well figured things out here Im sure. This site have a strong base of christians who follow the bible and often quite literally. You asked for proof it was GOD inspired and of course u didnt get a PROOF answer but rather an answer based on faith. You talked about islam the faith of your father n I closed my eyes and imagined you going to the mosque with ur dad n the bond u must experience while u go through your prayers there - for me its a lovely image.
I know you may get answers from here, or hear stuff through the media which is strongly against Islam - bear in mind its a christians duty to spread the gospel - just as it is for those of an islam faith to spread the word of the Koran - plus this is a christian site so... try not to be too upset when people are just doing what is the right thing to do by their faith. As for the media - yea its tough when violent events covered in the media influence peoples views of a whole religion..... Syria and Israel/Palestine are so unstable, frequently violent and laden in such complex politics I doubt anyone here has answers for it when the worlds polticians struggle with it.
Anywayz... I just wanted to welcome u to teens - other teens hit the Teen chat room most nights so come along... Men of the bible knew things long before scientists discovered them. They knew about the water cycle, they knew that the world was a sphere and hangs upon nothing. What it says about relationships and the health of the body are all true. It is flawless. The wisdom is so intense that bible scholars study it for years and still only scratch the surface, yet at the same time a child can understand it. The peoples and the lands are so accurate scientists use it for other purposes. And Jesus quoted from every book except Song of Solomon which was found among the copies. God always leaves room for faith, because without faith it's impossible to please God. Personally there is no doubt in my mind.

knowing words dont make anyone a christian, indeed there are very studied theologians that arent christian, without the holy spirit to guide and bring alive the word of god, it is of use only as a guide to basic human morals. So indeed to us christians, the christian life is about god making the changes in us where we failed miserably to do so, its accepting that we can never be good enough to deserve heaven, but god made a way, where through christs atoning sacrifice,, and the power of his resurrection, we are given new spiritual birth, whereas the old(flesh) is kept under submission to the renewed spirit, and when we fail (we allow the flesh (old man) to lead the spirit), god through his mercy will lead us to repentance through conviction by his grace. blessings

Jesus gave sight to the blind and the ability of walking to those who were paralyzed. He was murdered; rose from the dead and ascended into Heaven. All of it witnessed by hundreds of people, and every last one of them were persecuted and/or murdered for sharing their testimony, but it doesn't count as PROOF for you, zoii, because you weren't there, therefore its all null and void.

I think Zoii is simply pointing out that we must have faith; not everything can be proven or seen by our own eyes.

It is a true fact that the bible is a collection of books written by human beings like you. These books were written over thousand of years by different authors from different cultures. Looking to written material from same time epoch reveals a striking similarity between them and the Old Testament writings. Hence, it is a fact that OT content was strongly influenced by the author’s cultures. And so on…
The real issue here is rather to know if God really exist? Unfortunately, there are no scientific evidences that God exists. Our reason would say that God does not exist but day-to-day life experiences prove He does! Consult Him and you will find out!
Israel government acted evilly for sure and it is very sad to see some governments supporting them unconditionally. Palestinian government too has acted evilly in the past. From my perspective, the only solution to this conflict is Jesus and his teachings.

This is a very good question. I am not here to convince you as you should not also ask me to prove to you the existence of the sun as its existence is self-evident unless one chooses to stay in the cave all his life and never venture out to see the sun.
In order to answer you properly though, may I ask you a questions please?
Do you believe that human beings are not merely physical beings? In other words, do you believe that we are more than flesh and bones? That we possess a soul. Your father who is a Muslim certainly believes so as Islam teaches the existence of a soul, and your mother who is a Christian (I do not know what denomination) most possibly believes the same also.
I am happy to see that you believe that human beings have unique souls (some people call it the spirit of man). Now let us look at some of the powers of the soul of man:
1. For instance, FREE WILL is possessed only by humans. As an example, you can decide to eat what you want. By contrast all other creatures are subject to the law of instinct. This power of FREE WILL has to do with the soul of man and not his brain as a lion or an elephant have brains also but do not possess FREE WILL. FREE WILL does not exist in nature either, as there was a time when man was not here on earth and therefore we cannot possibly get free will from nature. It is like you ask me to give you a car although I do not have a car. I can only give you what I have. Nature can only give us what it has. So the soul and its powers have to have another source.
2. Man can design and create and as a consequence subdue nature. We are the masters of nature. For instance, nature has not given us wings but we can fly. Nature does not have any memory yet we can record pictures and this way preserve our memory. How can nature be superior to us when we dominate nature?
There are many many other powers in man that do not come from nature. These powers do not emanate from a physical world.
