The Yetzers became the Pharisees.

Mat_5:20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

No to what?

"The Yetzers are the jewish concepts of "right & wrong" found in all people... the inclination to do either good or bad. (Free Will, so to speak)

Google "Yetzer Hara" or Yetzer Hatov." Ya might Google "Hasatan" while you are there.

I guess it is just my thought of the similarity between the word 'etsah and Yetzer and the definition of Yeser and purpose.

NP. I was just hoping to find someone familiar with these Jewish concepts, as there are some questions I have about Hasatan being an officer of the divine court.

Willie-T! What did the Pharisees believe about right and wrong! The Yetzers became the Pharisees. The Pharisees believed what?
Mat 23:1 Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples,
Mat 23:2 Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat:

Mat 23:1 Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples,
Mat 23:2 Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat:
The Pharisees were, basically and initially, a group of the elite, educated society "muckity mucks", who took it upon themselves to keep all the Laws, so that when God looked down, He would not see all the Average Abes doing wrong and violating laws, and curse the nation of Israel. Supposedly, He would only see them doing right (and they DID do VERY right, and were good men, hoping to redeem their society) and would thus bless the country. The Pharisees were, initially, not really a "religious" group, per se, but just social leaders trying to advance the nation of Israel in God's eyes. Of course, like everything, power took over, and they assumed a religious leadership role in later years, and became quite corrupted..

Lucifer. Was not lucifer /is not satan evil?
And before anyone goes into the changed estate and all that that entails;I am aware of that. I am also aware that God is all knowing. He knows the beginning and the end and all in between. So in a sense;he did create evil. He created lucifer.

They we're not "heretics" in other words (as some would nowadays think the term means), just a set apart group ...
doing something specific, that was actually righteously intended.

No, Google wouldn't touch the depth of the questions I want answered. It would take someone familiar with 2nd Temple Judaism.

I find this topic thread confusing ... why the controversy, in other words?
That is, God did, indeed, create evil, and the Adversary ... He did, the bible tells us that He did, so what's the question?

Happens to all of us. The only difference might be different triggers for different people.

A little tipple does that, make me nicer and more understanding ... I'm going to go biking, now, a couple miles, a couple hills,
and I'll be back to normal, my old caustic self.
