Can we have a mature discussion? What we let our emotions control, we don't think very clearly.

This is the way Jesus talked to people. Jesus said to get with His agenda or get out of MY LIFE. I am not Jesus ,but I will follow His example. Jesus left the rich ruler frustrated, and if you won't submit to Jesus words, I give; you too ,must leave frustrated. because you reject Jesus words.

I feel that if God gives one a vision or dream, the meaning will be clear to the receiver. If you have to seek an interpretation it most likely is not of God.

What about Pharoah? Or that one king that I can't spell his name?

OK, you make a good point, remember pharaoh and Nebuchadnezzar were not God's children, God would not give them a clear vision with out a proven prophet of God to get glory to God. That might help, And the visions in Acts were clear to the children of GOd. But Gods vision from God overruled a true vision of the other prophet, about Paul's trip to Rome. And I know God is giving many Muslims a vision of Jesus which make them come to Jesus. I personally, wold have liked a vision, but God has always lead me by the Scriptures alone. And all my dreams are explained by my own stressful mind, and not helpful to me.

I was reacting to your 1st post,"supid(er"), and your "disclaimer" post 161. I felt you were frustrated over your "visions", and over reacting to the others.

My point is simply that we cannot add to scripture. It is forbidden. We can debate what is written, but we have no right to think that any "new" information can change the picture. The canon is closed.
Excuse me..... but when did God give you authority to proclaim that any prophecy, whether dreams, visions, or a word, ADDS TO SCRIPTURE? Wouldn't your "new theology" also add to scripture according to your standards 'cuz you invented this?

Truth Brick continued.

~The way is already known. Give them a Bible and tell them to read it.

And you really shouldn't put the notion that she is some sort of "prophetess" into her head. You have absolutely no way of confirming that

HELLO?? I am reading this! I may be young compared to you but this only puts more responsiblity on all of you to behave better than me and set an example. Please don't insult my intelligence like this.

~"Some" people need to stop telling people they are prophets because if the person doesn't have full balance and are willing to listen to you, you'll send them off the deep end. That's really not necessary

I felt crazy reading this one. Why not instead of telling me what I am or am not why not ask questions and get the whole picture before telling me if I am or not a prophet. Also i don't recall anyone telling me I am a prophet or even myself saying I am a prophet.

~Your comment proves it is not.

Ever hear of an evangelist?

Paul said to desire the prophetic realm

Stop acting like you know what you are talking about

This is RUDE! I mean come on! We are a group of CHRISTIANS and we are tearing eachother down like this??? WHAT WOULD JESUS THINK?

Look I don't care who believes/agrees with me just don't be rude. God has put the phrase "Seek to understand" on my heart for some time and it is hard to do that with people telling me what to believe and what not to believe. Saying they KNOW they are right and that I am 100% wrong.
I will agree as I have personally run I to christians on here who were rather rude to put it nicely. I don't understand why everyone gets so up in arms and suddenly offended just becuasr someone brings about something sifferent. And even so. Just becuasr it's different doesn't make it true but it makes for a learning experience

Well calling me rude on a post you hit the like button is pretty normal for this thread.

BTW,I answered a Rude person with the proper restraint.

Go back and read his commanding me as if he has authority over me in a realm he has zero knowledge in,nor cares ANYTHING about.

I was dealing with a nasty person. I did what was proper.

I never did say you were a prophet is. Never will.

Evangelist is a calling ,a gifting,a office.

Teacher,prophet ,pastor,the same.

No brainer stuff, like your dreams allegory.

Have a nice evening.

Alright you wanted this...

You guys are being rude and un-christ-like. Plain and simple. There is no need for this:

~Sorry, I don't believe your dreams are relevant. They are hyper dispensational, and I have no way of verifying they are from God, or just something you ate, or a vivid imagination!

Please remember this is the BIBLE discussion forum. To me, this should not be in this forum

How do you think this made me feel? I didn't have to make myself look like an idiot but I did because I believe there is a real issue with the church and I wanted to get some feedback on my dreams that had been nagging at me for a long time. I'm not saying you owe me anything but could you honestly see Jesus reacting like this?

To quote Ebenezer Scrooge (as it is "that" time of the year):

Your dreams may simply be the result of "an undigested bit of beef, a blot of mustard, a crumb of cheese, a fragment of underdone potato..."

That didn't make me feel too good either. It took a mocking tone as opposed to hey, lets walk together so I can understand you and you can understand me.

So I'm going to stop here but I have more because I have been having computer problems. There will be another one like this. Also, remember, this is a truth brick.

I'm sorry if you are hurt. That was not my intent. But you are demanding a lot of attention in the forums lately, and if you want to post some dreams that seem like a lot of nothing, don't expect us all to think you have heard from God, or that you have a clue what you are talking about.

If you want to have friends here, then try being a friend. I know a number of people who have reached out to you and you have rejected them, wanting to keep to your own, confused and possibly Biblical illiterate path. To once again quote part of your OP:

So I have had two dreams about the end times and I feel like I need to share them because these past few months have really shaken me and shown me the state Christianity is in and it is terrifying.
This is prophecy, because you are saying the dreams have terrified you, somehow showed you the state Christianity is in?? And most important, that your dreams PROVE that these are the end times. You then next tell people to pray because of persecution. Well, I always pray for the persecuted church, but it is not in the west! If you are asking for prayer for Coptic Christians in Egypt, or the few remaining Orthodox Christians in the Middle East, or the ones in some African countries who are being massacred, then I apologize.

Point is this: Pray! Pray! Pray! Because a lot of persecution is going to come from the church itself. It's starting to happen already so please please please please please pray and yes I know I look stupid but I wil happily look stupid if it means that one person stops and seriosuly thinks about this.
You may not know this, but people have been persecuted since the time of Christ, and in some countries, literally millions have been tortured and killed for Christ. So it could be a sign of the end, or it could also be just another stage in what some are suffering for Christ. So let me know if you were just talking about yourself, or if you actually mean the persecuted church. (Here is a link you might like to read: The Voice of the Martyrs )

Anyway, if you are worried about your feelings, my suggestion is do not post this kind of silly nonsense, and no one will have to call you on it. Unless you actually wanted to open the broader discussion on dreams and visions, which some people have taken your post to be about. Reading the OP again, I just do not see that was your intent. It was an OP meant to be a warning, which, in fact, when taken with the dreams is a form of prophecy. And beware being a false prophets, esp. since you have such a fascination with the OT. A false OT prophet was stoned to death if their prophecy didn't come true.

Maybe next time you could ask for feedback on these dreams with your friends in pms, and not start a whole thread about it, then get mad when someone says your dreams are not what you are claiming them to be! So, does this mean you will only take a reply that your dreams are indeed from God and the "end is nigh"? Or won't you take a bit of rebuke from someone who has been following God for 35 years, and would never have dreamed of posting the stuff you post, even on a bad day!

If you want to start an OP about your dreams, be prepared for people to seriously critique what you have written. Sorry, I don't hand out kudos unless they are deserved.

Finally, if I could urge you once again, start reading the Bible from cover to cover. Not just once, but over and over. You will learn more in the Word of God than with any set of dreams and interpretations by people on the internet!

For a dream to be prophetic for God's people, that one must be first called by God as one of His prophets, because it would be about giving a new revelation.

Sorry, I don't see any new prophets that God has specifically called and told to speak His Words to us today, even though there are many false prophets in the world today that claim He sent them. He already gave us His Word through His prophets that He chose, and it's recorded in His Holy Writ, and that is what we should study to know what He said is to come. It's all there, and even more, if those interested would only learn to discipline themselves in It.
Here we go again..... stating rules that are NOT in scripture. Do you guys just go around quoting each other, hoping no one will ask where in the Bible that is?

You DO realize Joel's prophecy states that ALL of God's people, regardless of age, background, sex, or status in life would/could/should perform under the Holy Spirit's leading as a spokesman, a dreamer, or a vision seer?

Acts 2:16-18 (KJV)
[SUP]16 [/SUP]But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; [SUP]17 [/SUP]And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: [SUP]18 [/SUP]And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:

The last time I looked, all meant all.

I've read this thread all the way thru..... & if I may, give some advice:

1. KNOW WHO YOU"RE BACKING. I agree with many posters on this site, but I won't back them 'cuz their reputations are questionable, to say the least. Some of them really know how to smack a hornet's nest.

2. KNOW WHAT YOU'RE SAYING..... quoting someone else isn't equal to scripture, & should never be held above scripture. BTW, no one's gonna quiver & shake when you bring forth your great answer or doctrine..... so quit acting/thinking like they should.

3. KNOW WHEN TO SHUT UP..... this is the hardest one, 'cuz when our pride is hurt, we can act like a cornered cat & come out slashing. When we zip it, the argument ends for lack of firewood.
Also, some things just aren't worth saying. When we read Proverbs, it teaches that it's unwise to constantly jabber on & that we can seem wise in our silence. (wowsers, sooo much sermon material there!)

This is some experience from my little life..... I hope it helps yours. :)

I pray that you don't harden your heart. :( You will only hurt yourself. Hate is a horrible thing to say about your fellow brothers & sisters in Christ. Let's have open hearts & be ready to learn. We are to respect our elders & listen,as their walks with God have been many years longer than ours.
