Kinda goes along with 'you always find things in the last place you look' because once you find it you stop looking!

I'm just rhyming...having fun with Willie..the Communion Marine..at least I thought it was you in the video..
Well, that guy does happen to be a good friend, the Program Manager (I think that's his title) of the local Christian TV station. He's the only other person I know who also used to also travel the Carnival Circle.

I think I see what you are saying with this. People have a tendency to say something is impossible if they can't figure it out. We tend to reach conclusions without looking at all the evidence. We only look at part of it or think what we have is enough information when often times it is not.

I prefer to think of those as mental rest stops.

That seems to hit the nail on the head, especially when it comes to "studying" the Bible. I have a friend who has long been a Preterist. I used to laugh at him for thinking such foolishness when we all "knew" what the Bible said..... since we had been told what to believe it said.

It took him 25 years to finally get me to actually do my own reading of the Bible, instead of just reading to "prove" what someone had told me it meant. But he finally got me to move beyond that stubbornly stagnant mental "time-out."

Hey Willie..when you have time....watch this guy....he's a medical doctor that deals with mental illness in Christians....he says it's their view of the gospel that is affecting them....really interesting and I learned a lot....my deepening of the grace and love of God has bloomed!

Thanks for the link. I anticipate it will be well into next week until I get through all the tapes in this particular series.

A conclusion is what we come to if we're to lazy to go on, or to dumb to go on, or it starts getting a little hot in the kitchen!

If jesus said he loves me and I read the gospels and I see how far he was willing to go for me my conclusion is that he really does love me not because I am to lazy or dumb to go on but because the evidence gave me this conclusion

Does this explain Westboro Baptist?

We usually find "the God" we are content to find.... and look no further.
