Sure glad God and Jesus AND THE DISCIPLES did not agree with your strategy............I imagine Goliath would still be roaming the earth if David agreed with your strategy. What about Daniel, and the three guys Shad, Mesh, and Abendigo?
some more ideas...

Jesus doesn't take a stand everywhere... I think there's a time when they want to make him king so he will free them from ceasar.

Jesus refuses. why? because rome isn't evil? imo, it's because God didn't want Jesus taking a stand on the battlefield that day, He wanted the stand to be another day, on the cross.

good points... also, notice the difference between the Kentucky situation and the bible examples...

the bible examples were all successful.

we don't see Daniel taking his stand in Jerusalem, where I think he was born and captured... because that wasn't a place God said he could win.

True........but there are also examples in Scripture where believers took their stand and died for doing so.......

Just saying............(I did understand your first comment........guess it's the Old Soldier in me that wants to STAND!) :)

certainly! sometimes a christian will die doing what God directs...

in this case, though, the people taking a stand ended up helping to fund the cause they were taking a stand against... I think, a better strategy might be possible...

With 4.4 million Kentucky residents, that 2.3 million dollar fine amounts to $1.92 per person.

Its money well spent to honor the Word of God as far as I'm concerned.

Lots of things are unGodly but that doesn't give us the right to make them illegal
Sure it does... its our country .."we the people" decide what kind of society we want ... Not a small group of wicked judges

my understanding was that it was paid to people with a pro-gay agenda... so each person can decide if that's a good idea...

in a pure democracy, the people make all the rules.

in a constitutional / democratic / republic like the usa, the people decide on a constitution (usually through elected representitives). the courts then are charged with intrepreting that constitution.

in the usa, I think all the judges are elected, or appointed by people who are elected... so the courts operate on a 'big picture' of the will of the people.

Sounds like a nice shell game where every time someone gets offended they receive money to further their cause. In this case, bigger floats for this year's Gay Pride Parade.

Initially yes, but in the last 50 years the Judicial Branch of the government has been filled with activist judges who have been legislating their will regardless of what the Constitution/People state. The two greatest examples of this is legalized abortion and obamacare. Imagine it, legalized infanticide and forced medical care -- both completely unconstitutional and against the will of the people.

The people elect the folks that make law in our system ..and those folks are supposed to represent the will of the people ...judges are not supposed to make laws. This was a illegal and unconstitutional act by these judges ... Now we the people must bring in folks that will get rid of these kind of judges.... Even as we pray that these judges are punished for their crimes against our nation.

I understand where you're going with this, but the system is so corrupt that the peoples' voice is no longer heard regardless of the fact that we have the God-given right to vote. Its all about personal agendas and special interest groups. The Constitution be damned.

Federal Judges? Presidential nominations/appointments and Congressional approval. Federal Judges are not elected as far as I know. Elected Jurists are usually at the City/County level.

Federal appointments are pure politics............have been for many years, and the will of the people is not even considered.

certainly! and as you wrote before, " 'we the people' decide what kind of society we want" the present situation is a result of the overall picture of what the people have voted for.

The present situation is that Politicians say what is necessary to be elected, but when elected follow their own agendas, and or the agendas of the big money folks who got them elected.........."we the people" are not being properly represented whatsoever.

I too think it's a bad idea to give money to a cause you're against... so if that's what you're saying, I agree.

do you believe there is large-scale election fraud? myself, I don't think there is... so elections reflect the votes of the people...

though, I do think that if a candidate starts talking about who they might appoint to the supreme court, the majority of people will "change the channel".

I think the will of the people is considered, in that it's the people who elect the representitives who do the appointing.
