Isn't it funny how politics is such a polarizing topic? I especially like how if you don't believe EXACTLY as someone else, that automatically casts you in with the complete opposite end of the belief spectrum. Wait, is that politics only, or is it with doctrinal conversations too? I get confused with all the myopic, 2-dimensional thinking in the world.

"If you're not with us, then you are against us" ...c'mon son.

You are making a lot of valid points all over CC, comes across as a well educated intelligent man, but when it comes to Trump it's "my way or the highway", why is that?
Because I was a teenager in the big 60's integration movement, and I have seen more than five decades of the resulting progressive (meant in BOTH terms) division and emotional, social, and psychological imprisonment.

We are desperately in need of a true move in a different direction. The Democrat carrot on a stick is leading down the wrong road, in my opinion.

Actually Trump was never my choice. I was for Ben Carson, and would rather have had Allen West. But it is now so FUBAR that we only have a choice between these two, and Hillary will mean nothing more than more of Obama. Bill is fast become a doddering old fool, so it won't be his policies once again. Hillary has no vision, so she really has nothing to offer but what she has been following for years.

And when you grow up maybe you'll understand "city slicker" isn't a nasty thing. Do we city slickers even get considered human in your rant? Not really shining with your love for mankind there.

So how are you different in the attempts to bully? (Other than I don't intimidate that easily.)

I see this no different than their posts. Lots of puffing up, but no substance.
Yes, you are right. It wasn't my finest hour. And I'm apologizing for what I said.

I know this probably doesn't mean much to some people here. I went to the Franklin Graham rally-speech today in Montpelier, the Vermont state capitol. I took my 7 year old and 9 year old daughter with me, because, well, I had no body to drop them with, and more important, I wanted them to get the experience of a Christian rally. But that is not my point.
There was about 300 people there, probably about a quarter of all the Christians in this God mocking state.
I am going to try and get some pictures and even video posted in the next few days of the event.
Hearing around 300 Christians sing God bless America in acapella sent tingles up my spine.
The voices are the same like every other group of 300 or so people, but the spirit, from deep down, that this group of people believe in what they are singing, it was something I will remember for a long time.

Let me get to my main point. Franklin Graham is on a country wise tour visiting EVERY single state capitol this election season to get the word out to Christians to vote.

Franklin Graham said in no roundabout way to vote for Trump. He strongly implied of you vote for Hillary, your a enemy of Christians. To those Christians who are sitting this out, DO NOT come on these threads and complain when HC does something you don't like. Like would be about 5 days a week, if she is elected.

I wouldn't want to hear it. Voting for Trump is the only way to go. A vote is like a vote for HC, considering Dems have more voters then Republicans.
Franklin Graham said last election a estimated 20 million Christians did not vote. That is a lot of Christians that can swing the vote for Trump. It is not hopeless. Far from it.
He said a progressive is just a code word for atheist.

God forgive those Christians who vote against HIM.

I think I was trying to toughen up a little, when I started this thread, but this isn't me, and I don't feel good about it now. It feels awful, really:(

For many people it's because they are anti-liberal they cannot in good conscious vote for Trump.

I wonder how many people can see the irony of a Trump supporter calling someone who disapproves of Trump and Hillary a "liberal". Trump is to the left of "conservatives"...
This pretty much checkmates the ignorant people doing this. They refuse to acknowledge that Trump is more liberal than the people they are accusing of being Hilary supporters.

Not just that, but I know of one person voting for Trump who doesn't particular care for him and they still call her a Hillary supporter. Talk about eating your own. It's not edifying whatsoever... nor is it edifying to retaliate.
lol It's actually sort of comical really. It's just high school bullying... in hopes they can silence the truth-tellers and whistle blowers.

What is comical is that all y'all are still caught up in the left/right paradigm. The very thing that got us to the point at which we stand.

Conservativism isn't necessarily a "direction" but a set of transcendent beliefs about God's relationship with man and man's relationship with man.

The fact we've allowed a French parliamentary model determine that these bedrock principles are nothing but a "direction" or faction has gotten us to where we are.

American Conservatism is, was, and should remain the true North if any direction is to be applied. A model for the rest of the country and the world.

That's the perspective I'm writing from anyway. I can't speak for everyone. But my credentials are better than theirs :p
