Those who are still in darkness are offended by the Light of the Truth, which is why many hate me, but it's not me they really hate, but the words of Truth I speak by the Spirit of Truth. I try not worry too much what others think of me, as I do not seek the honor and praise of men, but the honor that only comes from God. Paul also understood that we would be hated by men for the Words sake.

Galatians 1:10

For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

I like Paul can come in the spirit of meekness or with a Rod, it all depends on how rebellious the people are. And in these forums there are some very rebellious and wicked people who try to pervert the true gospel of Jesus Christ. This is what I hate, and so it is the Rod for them. :)
I confess my pride in choosing this one for my very 1st ignore!!

Imagine the hubris to think that people hate you.

Uh-oh!! Guess it's the rod for me!

It's funny how those who put me ignore just can't help themselves from coming on my threads and taking cheap shots....very telling indeed. :)

Hate is a very strong term, but certain posters certainly attempt to stir up anger and malice
because they are upset and want only their version of faith to be expressed.

But what is very apparent to me is most people are more honest than this and know the dilemma
within which they want to resolve. I find it hard to believe some know Christ at all, based on the
things they share and hold to. But we are called to contend for the gospel so Amen brother and
carry on.

Yep, when they cannot refute the scriptures that expose their false doctrine they usually just attack the poster and try to prop up straw man arguments, same ole, same ole. :)

I'm merely quoting scriptures.

yes...exactly

YOU are quoting scriptures

when a person believes they are a sinless judge of everyone but themselves, they usually ignore ALL scriptures unless they have chosen ...very carefully mind you...what scriptures they believe props up their sinking sand theology

as we have two here that are full of avarice, nothing anyone posts from the Bible...IN CONTEXT..will mean anything to them

such egos are not given to listening to anything that indicates they are wrong or could be wrong

Resisting temptation whilst renewing your mind according to the spirit go hand in hand.

If our sins are forgiven and removed, what is left? :)
Amen....An eternal, living Hope that rises above human hope that will not disappoint us in the end of the matter..

I wouldn't go as far as calling "hyper grace" followers fools, that seems a bit harsh and unloving. :)

It would seem it is there kind of way when using the word hyper and grace together saying it needs more works then Christ performed in those three days. Because they must add their own works to get a understanding to what they think difference between works and grace as if there was some sort of limbo in between. And our works make His faith complete. Ether Christ has paid the full eternal wage by suffering on behalf of his new creation, according to His work of faith, as a Labor of His love, or we are still in our sin.

Romans 11:6 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.

No limbo between. No purgatory after. Chose one master(teacher) grace or works?

No one here is preaching we are saved by our "own" works, that is a constant straw man deflection propped up to misrepresent those who expose these false "hyper grace" teachings, which are many. But a true born again Christian will produce good works and walk in righteousness because of salvation by being empowered by God as we are created for good works= bearing good fruit by abiding in Christ and His words.

But what really exposes "hyper grace" doctrine is how they are soft on sin, they do not even speak out against sin. When you examine their doctrine it is a sin and still be saved doctrine, no truly being set free from sin by the power of God.

This powerless version of God's grace is a false grace message because it does not manifest itself in it's followers by being truly set free from sin. Even many of it's followers confess to sinning every day and even wilful sin, but they still believe they are under grace.

But the words of God say, under grace sin shall not have dominion over you. And that is where their powerless grace doctrine is exposed because they are not truly born again of God and set free from sin, by the power of God's Spirit working in them.

This is another reason they hate me so much because I speak out against ongoing sin. But they try to misrepresent all the warnings in scripture on ongoing sinful behaviour as preaching "legalism", D.I.Y "self righteousness" and so on and so forth.

But being set from sin is not by our own power or works, it is by the power of God working in us.

whatever it is you are trying to sell here, there is no witness that you are from God
This is a very bland statement of condemnation and dismissal.

It is also a lie. If scripture testifies to a point of truth and reality, it is not the bringer of the
message that matters but the message. If scripture makes plain we are to walk righteously
without sin, then those who say otherwise stand against God.

But this has been the point all along. People are very keen to oppose individuals without
addressing the issues raised because in an amoral faith it is personality not truth that matters.

interesting

I cannot imagine what measure you would use to determine anyone is lying

you can't tell the difference

as far as issues go, I would think your plate is already full

Amen. I am not apposed to you, I hope you did not misunderstand what I was tying to say.We all stand on the same fallow ground.

It would seem that you as a brother in Christ are being used as the salt of our testimony as that needed when preaching the gospel which speaks of the judgement of Christ , needed to counter the idea of easy grace. As if the suffering of Christ did not end with a dead body. And somehow or other men must crucify Him over and over to public shame as if one demonstration was not enough..

Brothers as yourself are needed as neighbors used as salt when loving their neighbor as their own self. This is as those who are given the kind of witness that would rebuke his brother according to the truth of God, even knowing mercy triumphs over judgement and therefore will not share the guilt of another in their new hearts by saying just leave them alone God will take care of it which he can by sending His witness the believer, with God's witness, His word. . .

I would suggest keep up the faith. The Lord needs Moses as well as Peter's, Paul's, or Timothy's. After all what has any man that God has given faith freely to by which make one differ frorm one another. And if we have received it freely, why would we boast as if we have not?

Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him.
Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.Lev 19:17

Well Ember, I tell people are lying when they are not telling the truth.
It is quite a simple principle you know, you should try it, it might help you.

Wow, I understand we all get upset some times, Lord knows I have WAY to many times, but good grief this post was a bit harsh. Why do you let them get to you so bad?

You probably don't remember this, but right after you first came back under another name I called you Ember because I know the tude and the mouth of yours. LOL So I knew it was you right away. Ask Willie T if you don't believe me because he sent me a PM laughing about it when I called you Ember. :)

All this may be true but don't let the "baiting" get to you. We know the purpose for it. Romans 16:17 is sure helpful against this sort of thing.
