Today I started reading The Pilgrim's Progress (New Edition) I thought it was the modern English version, but alas, it is not. But still, I couldn't put it down. I even read the foreword xD I am liking it and hopefully will finish this soon. I must study for school but this book is gaaaah.

"I Kissed Dating Goodbye" by Joshua Harris. This is my second time reading it. I read it five years ago and wanted to freshen up.

I have that book. Could be one of reasons i'm still single. I read somewhere that the author apologized for teaching people specially teenagers to kiss dating goodbye.

I know, that's crazy and why I picked it up again. I'm reading through it and it's amazing. I really don't see why he is apologizing.

I think people need to realize that it's better to be alone than to be with someone who is just going to give you problems. All these people complaining to Harris don't see that. Also, many don't really understand what Harris was trying to tell us. His book wasn't really about dating at all. It was about living God's way in relationships.

Ya cat is staring at me . I like the idea of modern courtship because there's godly boundaries . Many Christian young dating relationships end up in premarital sex.

Funny because some people who complained blame the book because it's too late for them for marriage being not fertile anymore, as if populating the world is the only mission in life.

Yeah the idea of being with someone but feeling alone is scary.

Uncle Tom's cabin. I finished the scarlet letter and a farewell to arms in under two weeks. My lit class is killing me and its painful.

In my free time I'm reading a purpose driven life.

Downloaded and read the sample.

I am reading killing Jesus by Michelle dougless and bill O'Reily. It is on jesus's life. It also teaches you a lot about the romans, such as julious ceaser. I recommend it.
I am also rereading my favorite dragonlance books because I am addicted to them lol

Right now I'm reading Beowulf. I managed to snag a 100-year-old copy at an antique store :) It's even got written in the back and front from the college student who owned it before me. Not sure how old the writing is but the date on the front of the book is 1916 so it might be a century old. Beowulf is, by the way, a Germanic epic story about a warrior named Beowulf who kill's a giant called Grendel and then has to fight the giants mother but fails.

I just finished reading By Reason of Insanity and am now reading Dead Lawyers Tell No Tales. Both are by Randy Singer. Apparently he is both a pastor and a Lawyer, which makes his books interesting.

Steven James has done a re-imagining of Pilgrim's Progress. I have no clue if it is any good, but it is called Quest for Celestia.
