Looks like we've got a constitutional scholar on our hands here and are way in over our heads.

Wells- 1984 - that which we fear will destroy us
Huxley- Brave New World- that which we desire, comforts us will destroy us.

both were right. Appetite for Distraction is in play.
Everybody got to elevate from the "norm".

I can agree that homosexuality is against biblical principles. However I don't feel it is my personal responsibility to dissuade people from aberrant behavior. I'm not an evangelist. I don't feel like I'm accountable for someone else's salvation. Each man is responsible for his own salvation. We can offer it but if they refuse, walk away like the dust from your feet
"Against biblical principals".
You cant even say that it is a sin?

Also, God does not agree with you here. From Ezekiel chapter 33-

7 “Now as for you, son of man, I have appointed you a watchman for the house of Israel; so you will hear a message from My mouth and give them warning from Me. 8 When I say to the wicked, ‘O wicked man, you will surely die,’ and you do not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity, but his blood I will require from your hand. 9 But if you on your part warn a wicked man to turn from his way and he does not turn from his way, he will die in his iniquity, but you have delivered your life.

10 “Now as for you, son of man, say to the house of Israel, ‘Thus you have spoken, saying, “Surely our transgressions and our sins are upon us, and we are rotting away in them; how then can we survive?”’11 Say to them, ‘As I live!’ declares the Lord God, ‘I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn back, turn back from your evil ways! Why then will you die, O house of Israel?’

Some of you need a safe space where you can only hear your viewpoints being validated to yourself.

So, if a celebrity visits a LGBT homeless teen - that's a problem? If that celebrity is not a Christian, we shouldn't even be talking about their good deeds?

So sad.

If all that is a problem post information on Christian websites that are helping them or take the time to find out Christian "celebrities" (and there are many) who are doing similar things.

That was spoken to a specific individual and doesn't apply that same way to everyone.. Dude said it correctly. Stop being self righteous.. it's evident by your treatment that you don't follow what you quote.. Heart is missing.. He that wins souls is wise..

Good bye Charlie, fare thee well! You shall be missed.

I was talking to Charlie over the 27th-28th of November.
I have edited what he said at the end of one PM:

I doubt I'll keep any social media accounts much longer including CC,...
I strongly feel it's time to get alone and quiet. Peace and blessings.

I hope he doesn't mind my sharing that with y'all :D

Spoken to a specific individual? What do you mean?

And self righteous? I dont think you understand why I debated with dude here. My point was not that we need to treat people in this lifestyle with hate. Its that he speaks as if anyone who even talks about God and homosexuality hates gays, and that they think its right to treat them in this way. He posts pictures that show how "religious people" force everyone to follow their will, comes to threads where people discuss how and why its wrong to move to nations that are known for beheading people for not following their laws, and makes claims like "I wont stick a gun to their head", speaking as if anyone here would do such a thing.

You are not actually reading my posts here, but becoming emotional and reacting out on it, making judgments on me without even knowing what Im speaking about. You should actually read my posts. My closest friend is the guy I was with in my old life, he knows where I stand and how I feel about it now, and he is still close to me and speaks with me daily. He would not tell you I hate gay people. My issue is with people who put down Christians for their faith in God, including His teachings and warnings.

If youd read my posts and not cast judgment on me before even knowing me, you might see that yourself.

You should really read the thread, its not that celebrities visited them, its how and why the OP started the thread.

The issue is with the OP himself, and not these celebrities. Again, casting judgment without knowing the situation : p

For the 15 billionth time. If LGBT teens are indeed six times more likely to become homeless then regardless of the reason this is something that warrants looking into.

Im kinda mad about this thread so I want to make a disclaimer, cuz some people dont seem to understand the actual issue being discussed.

The problem is not that I am angry that someone did something nice for anyone still stuck in this life

It is not that people refuse to hate gays

It is that a member here continually perpetuates the idea that Christians hate homosexuals and want to persecute them

We should love everyone, and we should also continue with the warnings that God has given us, acceptance is not love, you can say that what someone does is wrong and still love them

Everyone is guilty of sin, and everyone must repent. People who hate others are wrong, but those who do not want to see others die but repent and lived should not be put to shame. This member creates confusion and division with his angry spamful posts, and has the possibility of leading others to being afraid to stand by the Word of God, and that is why I debate with him.

Its not because I hate people who struggle with the same temptations that I do and want to murder them. It is the people who want others to believe that that is the thing I want to do.

You only said that once that I have seen on this thread, and you have never said it to me once.

And I would agree with you, kicking out your child for following their urges is wrong and unbiblical. My problem is you continue to push the idea that Christians hate gays.

You even started off your post with the note "maybe it was because they were kicked out of their homes", to make sure you put Christians in their place.
While that could possibly be true (I even know someone that had experienced this very thing), you are only pushing the teaching that God hates gays, and that He is evil and we should not follow Him. You use atheist arguments to prove your point, and this leads young minds from seeing that God loves them and wants them to repent to believing that He hates them because of their struggles, and they should not come to Him.

You made this thread due to your own anger towards this forum for not agreeing with you, and not because you are truly worried about anyone.

It's odd that celebrity idols who promote sin & lead many to Hell are invited. While christians aren't allowed to visit them to share the gospel so their souls can be saved...

Maybe you should loosen your strings.. You seem to add too his sayings a lot.. personal issue? Insecure? Even if he is pushing something, which i never see him coming across that way, but maybe I just understand how to read facts and the topic at hand and leave personal stuff on the screen it's typed on... again I never read his posts and see an agenda.. but I'm not a spy who follows folks closely so I can persecute them either

Some of the teens were interviewed and said they were indeed rejected by their parents for being gay. You seem to be unnecessarily sensitive about my post so maybe you should just put me on ignore

Maybe I have had more convos with Dude about this issue here on the forum than you?

And I can assure you hes the one who turns "homosexuality is wrong" into "kill gays". I even went through my posts to find some for you. Sadly, they have only been recorded since this last october, and most of my posts are in the singles forum, or in threads about the recent election (I was shocked at how many posts I made in those threads). I could only find one good example after literally going through every page of my posts. I made this post to Dude in a thread about a Rabbi in Israel-

The God of the OT is the God of the NT, Jesus is not separate from God. If He were, then we do not worship God.

His will is not for us to take action against them, because we are as guilty as they are. But it they will not repent, they will die in their sins.
And this was his direct response to this post-

So you think we should kill gays?
He has made statements like this many times. He even once posted a picture of a "religious man" telling a girl she cant eat ice cream because his religion says he cant.

While yes, Christians stand by the Word of God that we will die if we do not repent, does this sound like the actions of a Christian who is worried about the fate of their fellow human beings, or an atheist with a problem with "religious people"?
How do you think those who are worried about the eternal fate of others will take this?

I will not put you on ignore, Id rather be a voice of reason when you make these kind of posts for anyone who feels confused who is reading these threads.

HHolly, it's you that needs to loosen up here....

Dude did what he always does, starts a thread under the premise that the worldly people are right, and are being persecuted by those mean old Christians, and how "we" are not being Christlike.

He was wrong in his premise on this one, as well... for two "celebrities" to go visit specifically an LGBT-whatever homeless shelter is a deliberate attempt to promote the "gay is normal" agenda. And the reporting of it is simply playing along with their agenda. Otherwise, why would it not simply be reported as visiting a homeless shelter?

To ASSUME that all of those "kids" were there because their parents "rejected" them, or "kicked them out" is simply making up unconfirmed "details" for the sake of a story...

Did they poll all the "kids" there to see what the details were of their being at the shelter? Did they verify that the "kids" stories were the truth? I would imagine that perhaps 5% of them were actually "kicked out" by parents. Most of them, more likely, LEFT home of their own volition, simply because their parents disagreed with their lifestyle choice. "I don't have to stay here and listen to THAT"..... then when they get out on the street, it's "I got kicked out".....

I imagine YBats has forgotten more about that lifestyle than you will ever know... it's easy to criticize when you have not walked the walk.

And, you apparently haven't researched the types of threads the Dude posts... perhaps you should spend some time doing that before you take up the "don't persecute Dude" crusade..

don't get me wrong, the Dude is a good enough guy, but like many of us, is sort of typecast by his life experiences, and tends to post strictly from that perspective.
