There is nothing wrong with Gods grace. Gods grace is the unmerited favor God extends to undeserving men that they might receive the inheritance of sons of God. Namely the forgiveness of sin and eternal life. God is merciful and does not give us what we deserve but instead imputes to us the righteousness of His Son Jesus Christ.

Are we not admonished to let our speech be always with grace?

Col 4:6 Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.

Let all strive to not be bitter but to lift up Christ our Savior.

For the cause of Christ

Freedom in the truest sense? No he opposes it.. A chicken can walk in a fenced yard or a field.. the one in the fence sees one in a box and thinks he's got it made.. but is he as free as he could be? Nope
Well forgive me, But if you have read his posts YOU WOULD NEVER SAY HE DOES NOT BELIEVE IN FREEDOM

the fact you did can ONLY lead us to believe you have not read, or do not understand what he is saying. Maybe that is it, You do not understand?

Whatever the reason is, I pray you find out soon.

Can you start to see the contradictory terms?
I agree with you about Peter. I was Peter once, That is why I am hard on him, Because I want so bad for him to find the freedom I found..

I keep prayin gif I try to expose his sin and get him to repent, he may repent of other stuff too.. Although I am losing hope
EG - Thankyou for showing me your hand. You are saying I am a sinner in need of
a saviour. You are right 100%, I am a redeemed sinner who follows His Lord Jesus
Christ.

You have mixed the personal sin between two people with the general spiritual
failure of people. And also you have failed to understand you win people by love
and a transformed approach, not trying to beat them up.

So in your enthusiasm to make a convert you sin against me, smear and slander me,
think of anything you can attack me with. This alone testifies what is in your heart,
dear friend of mine. And it is not from Christ my Lord.

Worse still it convicts you as a liar and a fraud.

The problem with this, is though you stand in the cloak of faith you can end up doing
the enemies work. Even Peter the apostle ended up in this place.

I think you illustrate why in all churches and fellowship there are many seeds and many
trees some good, some not, some with grapes and figs, and some with thorns and thistles.

You're 54, and you sin quite a bit. We all see much of it right here on this forum. What are you going to say at 64, when you are still doing it? And then, maybe at 74?

THIS is what we try so hard to get new Christians to understand...... That the deluded idea that they are not saved because they
— just like you and the rest of us — will still be sinning if we live to be a hundred...... is a mindset infected with the enemy's lies. This is designed to keep you thinking that it is hopeless.... That if you cannot make yourself totally sinless, you are not good enough for God.

And, most of all, we do not want to see some young Christian trying to follow your example, and fool themselves into thinking (actually, just 'claiming') that they are without sin occurring in their lives.

What you say is so true.
And then some folks wonder why new believers become discouraged and just quite trying.

I didn't hear anything on grace either, till a year & a half ago, when hyper-grace started flooding the BDF. It's disgusting.
Wow! People need to see the vitriol of this post again to understand this can't be of the Holy Spirit.

No ISIT apposes it, As Does Peter and Stephen. They have no freedom, because they have to work and work hard. otherwise, they may lose salvation.

Paul had freedom. He knew to be absent from the body was to be present with the lord. He knew NOTHING could seperate him from the love of God, Even himself.

If you do not think your salvation is secure, You have no freedom..

Don't lose hope, brother. According to your faith, let it be done.

sadly that is what it has come down to. A select group of people who a year and a half ago (or whenever it was, I did not think it was that long ago) started an attack on another group of people. And anyone who even appears to stand up for them..

At that point, Bible discussion and prety much anything civil went out the door.. The mods even had to close a few OPS. and posted an OP warning about this stuff, yet it still continues (this thread being proof of this)

That still doesn't excuse you & EG for slamming them & then cry foul when they tell you about it.
Two things, Stevie:

1: I couldn't possibly care less what Pharisees think of me. In fact, if I did care about it, I'd wear those insults as a badge of honor. Blessed are those that are persecuted for righteousness . . .

2: You have a bad habit of deflecting constructive criticism aimed at helping you and turning things back on the people who are trying to help you. Are all my comments to you constructive? No. Yet some are, but your response is the same.

This does not make sense to me, By this, it sounds like My security is in myself. not God?

Thanks, but no thanks,, God is much more powerful than I will ever be, Faith in self is what God man in trouble to begin with.

Security is knowing, that even if you try your hardest to "heed the warnings" as you say, You know if you fail that God still loves you, and your still his child..

Thats freedom

Sorry EG you just lied about me and my beliefs.
I do not loose salvation if I sin, I loose fellowship with the Lord.
I loose salvation if I loose faith in Christ and the cross.

But hey, miss-representing others, and upsetting them is no problem to you.

And security I have is invested in Christ my Lord and His promises.

Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.
2 Peter 1:4

It is like an argument with my wife does not mean we are divorced, but
if the relationship has broken down and we are in court filing for divorce
the marriage is at an end.

Now this is not a difficult concept to follow, but then that is not the point,
propoganda and lying is the strategy, force of arms and argument, until
surrender is declared. The strategy and works of the enemy.

The scriptures agree with me and Jesus....

Romans 6:18
Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

Romans 6:22
But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

Romans 8:2

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

Right. Now reconcile those verses with the reality that you still sin.

Here is a good example of how unbelievers in the words of Jesus Christ try to justify themselves in their own eyes, and that is they try to make God's messengers sinners just like them, as if this somehow makes the words of God I provided untrue; thus by calling God's saints sinners they then feel better about themselves, having convinced themselves that everybody is just like them being in bondage to sin. But again, in doing so they reject God's words as true in order to justify themselves.

Basically what they are doing is trying to shape a gospel to conform to their own sinful image instead of actually believing the words of God as True and being able to transform them into the image of Jesus Christ. :)

1. That last part on #1 is one of the biggest crocks of bull I've ever heard

I understand what you are saying, but this person is actually angry and disgusted that Grace is being discussed. Think about how warped that is.

Nope. It's just us trying to keep it real for you, so that perhaps you will actually seek the truth of scripture.
