Oh, and grace is the empowerment of the Spirit to live righteously, soberly, in the PRESENT world, Titus 2:11-14..Not unmerited favour....The unmerited favour is the forgiveness of past sins in repentance...They redefined faith, grace, righteousness, sins of ignorance, . They have to do this to make their Franken gospel that they stitch together for the purpose of hoping to bring life to it.....All who are hungering and thirsting for righteousness don't be fooled by these deceivers who admittedly live in sin, but are somehow promising others liberty if they join in.. Do they actually think sin humbles them?
I do see sin not humbling you. The same kind of thing?

No you pay attention, Please don't accuse 7 billion people that you don't even know of being sinners like yourself..If thou and thy cohorts believe ye cant depart from the vile sins of the flesh and will always partake of them, then so be it if that's your goal..But don't falsely accuse others, especially people you don't even know...
Yes, DC should not do that because that's YOUR job. (SMH!)

AMEN 1st Corinthians 3...the loss of reward due to works of wood, hay and stubble, but not the loss of salvation...EVER!
I am ashamed to say that this was my go to place.
Not because I wanted to sin or liked my sin. It was because of my sin.
I felt unworthy and to be quiet frank that was because I was often told "If you truly loved God then don't do" and as a result if I did sin then God did not love me.

How sad it is to place someone under the law and make them feel unworthy because they struggle with sin. And note the word STRUGGLE, not the same as wanton sin lifelstye.

It is no longer my go to place.

I know I am a child of God, I am in Christ and Christ is in me. I am hidden in Christ.
I know try to good works to get God loves, I do good works because I love God and he is in me.

Oh who will deliver me?

Romans 7:24-25
O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? I thank God—through Jesus Christ our Lord!
So then, with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin.

Thank you Jesus, my rock, my shield, my sustainer.

You are greater that it all.

I have a hard time believing that anyone can go 24/7 without having ONE bad thought.
Amusing anecdote, just to lighten this thread. (Because by now it is very much a downer.)

My husband might have done it. There's an above average chance he maintained it for six weeks as a matter of fact. (Does medically-induced coma count? lol)

And it is funny to me, because God did bring him back in such a way that every doctor who briefly scans his 4000+ page chart keeps telling him the same thing, "You shouldn't be alive." So, I really can laugh at the idea that I may well be married to one of the very few people in life who could have been absolutely sinless for six weeks. (I could guarantee it, except we have no idea if he was dreaming, or what he was dreaming during that time.)

Sorry about my above post. I managed to include a quote by DC when I only wanted to include the quote by E.G., not sure how that happened.

Can someone explain how I just include part if a quote. I just wanted to quote the last part if EG's post.

Answers accepted from both sides:eek:
Sheer talent. (Or, more likely, a glitch.)

Am I talking to the right person? Things are just black and white, our feelings do not lead us into
sin or away from it, it is just cold hard facts.

It is impossible to talk about love without it involving empathy, care, compassion, patience,
being long suffering, encouraging, sympathetic. Now if you can do all these things without
emotion, you are not human. And everything we do is bathed in emotion, which is why
when people stop feeling they call it depression, the suppression of emotion to the extent
all we feel is pain.

So again you talk to me something that does not exist.
Until you wake up to your living breathing heart, there is not a lot I can do to help.
There's the problem. You talk about, instead of actually do the do. Everything you write is sheer philosophical in nature, except at an emotional level, and yet you push off any contact with the actual emotion. You talk about love, but don't love, because you're too busy talking about it. (Also why I usually just zoom by your post. Ultimately they're always about the same thing -- you.)

I still cannot believe we can post verse after verse concerning the faithful men of the bible and their obvious admission to sin and or sins or being sinful and yet we have people in this age that will flat deny these verses and make themselves out to be BETTER and more RIGHTEOUS than the men of the bible like DANIEL, Peter, Paul etc.....folks....we are ALL in the same boat when it comes to our nature and character....only 1 (ONE) was sinless and even he BECAME sin for us that HIS righteousness can be applied by faith......JESUS was clear....OUR born again spirits are ALWAYS willing to do what is right and biblical, but OUR flesh which we still PACK is weak and not subject unto the word of GOD....the battle ground is the MIND and sometimes, yeah in some, MANY times we fail and sin....end of story and this IS biblical.....the scriptures PROVE this stance...

NO WHERE does this advocate a lifestyle of sin, NO where does this indicate that we are not to repent and seek forgiveness by repenting and confessing....NO where does this indicate that we cannot grow more and more faithful while suppressing our fallen nature....until we have a resurrected body we will fail and SIN...end of story!
I can't believe this is page 9 and yet not one Sinless Wonder has come along to refute. Lots of refuting, but no refuting on your OP. Man! People seem to like to argue even when they agree on this forum!

HAHAH and hilarious.....and to your point...this is not a downer to me, but rather proper perspective...and actually give me great hope....Paul said Jesus came to save sinners of whom he was chief...the Lord takes great pleasure in mercy and grace and who needs that the most....sinners who will admit that they are sinners.... ;)

It is funny isn't it? When we suddenly get something, how something works then it makes things easier for us.

If only we truly understood who we are in Christ then life would be so much easier. But 1 step at a time.
Each step Christ is walking with us.

I think it's a bit like God (not wishing to be irreverent) but I do wander if he is saying "he's gonna get it, he's gonna get it, he's gonna get it........GOT IT.

We get it when we remain within the simplicity that is found in Jesus.

That is we are in Jesus, he us in us. And he knows what's best. Nothing more and nothing less.
I see God doing an touchdown dance when he realizes I get something... for now.

Can I laugh with you? Sorry but you did make me laugh.

Thank you Jesus that Lynn's husband is still with us. I pray your blessings on them both.

What you're saying isn't the downer. The amount of people scolding for saying it, (despite actually agreeing with you), and the sheer determination they have for making sure their oh-so-important opinion is said ad nauseum, is the downer.

I am a believer in Yeshua and yes I do sin, and I am not perfect. I just thank the Lord for the mercy and grace he has shown me and the doors he has opened for me. I am thankful for him showing me the way. Thankful for the things that he has allowed me to do in his name.

Also I am thankful for the times he has allowed me to fail. Many times we learn more from failure than success. In all things I give thanks because the Lord has decreed and declared it to be and like Mary said, "Be it unto your handmaiden as you wish" or something along those lines.. LoL

Very good.

I envisaged God, Jesus and the angels doing those celebrations.
Although I'm not sure about number 5, they looked like they were doing the birdie dance.
