You could be a liberal if :
1 If you wine and cry after you've lost a fair competition.
2 If you look for ways to stretch the truths to fit your agenda.
3 If you think it's OK for Females to share bathrooms with Males.
4 If you are OK with same sex Marriage.
5 If your OK with killing the unborn.
6 If you think it's OK to open the borders to anyone regardless of their history.
7 If you think Guns should be taken away from the public.
8 If you support an organization such as the AARP.
9 If you believe as Barack Obama and Oprah Winfery that there are many ways to Heaven.
10 If you resent this.

I think you have to draw a distinction between theologically liberal and politically liberal. The two are overlapping but not the same thing. For example the Bible is silent on the subject of gun control but has plenty to say on issues like homosexuality.

Oh it's been that way for a long time. Liberals are the enemy, really stupid and they probably smell bad too (I don't know, I never get close enough to smell them.)

I mean um... ahem... yeah, christians make fun of liberals because it's easy to do and because everybody likes to have somebody to make fun of. Even christians gotta have somebody to make fun of.

Bigger issues on this site than a few posts mocking liberals. Like 90% of the posts in the BDF. If i had to choose which is worse the 'bible discussion forum' is definitely a much, much, much poorer reflection on God and Christians, as well as way more offensive, than a few jokes.

I dont think using humor as a way to show an error with someones argument or belief is such a horrible thing.

I mean, if you were arguing with an atheist, using humor and sarcasm as a way to show that the idea that the universe exploded itself into existence, and that all the life forms on the earth just built themselves up from a single celled organism because "it needed to" or "to improve its quality of life" is complete nonsense, would it really be such a hateful and evil thing?

I do not believe it would be : p Its a really good way to show how ridiculous an argument is : p Its effective, and easy to understand.

3) If you endorse privatization, fiscal austerity, deregulation, free trade, tax cuts, reductions in government spending, and increasing the role of the private sector in the economy: you might be a neo-liberal.

4) If you believe that government should address economic and social issues such as poverty, health care, and education: you might be a social liberal.

5) If you don't understand the different flavors of liberalism: you might want to read a political science textbook.

I thought it was supposed to be the Poles, if you're American, the Canucks, if you're Canadian, and people living in Cleveland, Philadelphia, or New Jersey, if you don't want to be too insulting...

And then there are the blondes. :rolleyes:
