That goes with what Paul says is the ministry we are to have to the world .

2 Corinthians 5:18-21 (NASB)
[SUP]18 [/SUP] Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation,

[SUP]19 [/SUP] namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

[SUP]20 [/SUP] Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.

[SUP]21 [/SUP] He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Why would Paul be begging people to be reconciled to God if God is not going to give them the faith to believe? It's diabolical to think that God would give faith to some and not to others in order for them not to be saved. It's against the whole "why" of the gospel and the very nature of God to begin with. It's a horrible doctrine that vilifies the nature of God. The heart of man could never trust such a being as this.

Thank God for Paul said that God was in Christ - reconciling the world to Himself and He is not counting their trespasses against them because of Christ's finished work on the cross.

That is our ministry to the world. The word of reconciliation. Be reconciled yourselves to God by believing the good news of the Lord Jesus Christ. For God "so loved the world" that He gave His Son. Who so ever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
Okay. Now, those who die never hearing the gospel...what becomes of them on the day of Judgment?

Look closely at verse 19. If God is not counting the whole world, as in all who ever lived, sins against them, then none go to hell.

Bro, you're pouring your eisegesis into that text.

The greek word used for reconciling in 1 Cor. 5:19...

  1. [*=left]to change, exchange, as coins for others of equivalent value

    1. [*=left]to reconcile (those who are at variance)

[*=left]return to favour with, be reconciled to one

      [*=left]to receive one into favour

If all whoever lived are being reconciled, then all are back in favor with God. None who have God's favor will die lost. Hello universalism.

The greek word for imputing/counting...

  1. [*=left]to reckon, count, compute, calculate, count over

    1. [*=left]to take into account, to make an account of

      1. [*=left]metaph. to pass to one's account, to impute

[*=left]a thing is reckoned as or to be something, i.e. as availing for or equivalent to something, as having the like force and weight

      [*=left]to number among, reckon with

      [*=left]to reckon or account

[*=left]to reckon inward, count up or weigh the reasons, to deliberate

[*=left]by reckoning up all the reasons, to gather or infer

    1. [*=left]to consider, take into account, weigh, meditate on

      [*=left]to suppose, deem, judge

      [*=left]to determine, purpose, decide

If God is NOT imputing/counting the whole world, as in all whoever lived, sins against them...hello universalism.

Okay. Now, those who die never hearing the gospel...what becomes of them on the day of Judgment?
Simple....will not the judge of the world do what is right? Is He not a righteous judge? Gen 18:25

He will be righteous to let all people have a choice to receive Christ's work and to believe. How that works - is up to Him and it is way beyond our own human natural minds to know. His ways are not our ways.

People still need to believe and receive the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness. Rom. 5:17 - so there is no universalism - that's just the natural mind of man's way of thinking.

But I don't vilify His character by saying He is forcing them by not giving them the opportunity nor the faith to believe and receive what His Son has already done for the world. God "so loved the world" that He gave.

People would have a much better chance of getting me to belie that Daffy Duck and Donald Duck are the 2 witnesses in the book of Revelation then to vilify the name and character of the Lord.

Anyway ..I am out of this discussion as I think it's totally useless and has no redeeming value. Bless you and have a great rest of your day.

Wait a minute. Genesis 18:25 is a cop out. Those who don't know Christ ever existed? Will they go to heaven or hell on the day of Judgment?

I just shot a gaping hole in your theology and you're gonna bail.

How can everyone have a choice to be saved when BILLIONS have died not knowing the Christ's existence? Romans 10:17 says faith comes by HEARING the message about Christ. Without hearing the gospel, there's no saving faith. No saving faith means no salvation.

How that works is He saves by grace through faith. Now, faith comes by HEARING the message(gospel) of the Christ, per Romans 10:17.

That is how He saves His ppl from their sins.

Before I go - the Lord brought this scripture within me where Jesus preached to the spirits that were from the flood of Noah.

Whatever they responded to what Jesus preached - the text doesn't say. There are some things that are just not talked about but we leave things like this in the hands of a just God who will deal righteously to all people because God is no respector of persons.

1 Peter 3:18-20 (NASB)
[SUP]18 [/SUP] For Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, so that He might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit;

[SUP]19 [/SUP] in which also He went and made proclamation to the spirits now in prison, ( this word is the Greek word for "to preach" )

[SUP]20 [/SUP] who once were disobedient, when the patience of God kept waiting in the days of Noah, during the construction of the ark, in which a few, that is, eight persons, were brought safely through the water.

There are some secret things that belong to God. Deut. 29:29

We now know to preach the gospel to the world telling them the good news of what the Lord Jesus has already done for all of us!

Again I believe God is just and righteous and the God will execute righteousness in dealing with people that have never heard about Christ. He will in some form give them a chance to "hear of Christ".

How that works for people before Christ like in China or in some remote jungle tribe that has never heard the gospel yet. - I'll leave that in His righteous hands believing in His character. The truth is nobody has this answer. It's a matter of how we view the nature and character of God....:)..I know what I chose to believe about Him.

Until we go to heaven to find this out - we preach Christ and Him crucified. Faith comes from hearing the word of Christ.

I agree that faith comes from hearing the word. Yet many have died w/o hearing it. God knew they wouldn't hear it, too.

Wait. You've already told us "how that works" by preaching the false gospel of choice, but, then you make pretense as if it's all a mystery...LOL!!!!!!!! You actually think His ways ARE our ways which is why you come up with decisional regeneration. Get your facts straight, you're still not biblical.

For the record, no one is saved via choice; John 1:13; Romans 9:11ff; James 1:18; 1 Peter 1:1ff.

Yep, excellent point. That is taking Scripture and wresting it with ones tradition to make it match their errant theology.

~Rom 2:14 For whenever gentiles, who do not possess the Law, do instinctively what the Law requires, they are a law to themselves, even though they do not have the Law.

Rom 2:15 They show that what the Law requires is written in their hearts, a fact to which their own consciences testify, and their thoughts will either accuse or excuse them

Rom 2:16 on that day when God, through Jesus the Messiah, will judge people's secrets according to my gospel.

Rom 2:17 Now if you call yourself a Jew, and rely on the Law, and boast about God,

Rom 2:18  and know his will, and approve of what is best because you have been instructed in the Law;

Rom 2:19 and if you are convinced that you are a guide for the blind, a light to those in darkness,

Rom 2:20 an instructor of ignorant people, and a teacher of infants because you have the full content of knowledge and truth in the Law—

Rom 2:21 as you teach others, do you fail to teach yourself? As you preach against stealing, do you steal?

Rom 2:22 As you forbid adultery, do you commit adultery? As you abhor idols, do you rob temples?

Rom 2:23 As you boast about the Law, do you dishonor God by breaking the Law?

Rom 2:24 As it is written, "God's name is being blasphemed among the gentiles because of you."

Rom 2:25 For circumcision is valuable if you observe the Law, but if you break the Law, your having been circumcised has no more value than if you were uncircumcised.

Rom 2:26 So if a man who is uncircumcised keeps the requirements of the Law, his uncircumcision will be regarded as circumcision, won't it?

Rom 2:27 The man who is uncircumcised physically but who keeps the Law will condemn you who break the Law, even though you have the written Law and circumcision.

Rom 2:28 For a person is not a Jew because of his appearance, nor is circumcision something just external and physical.

Rom 2:29 No, a person is a Jew inwardly, and circumcision is a matter of the heart, brought about by the Spirit, not by a written law. That person's praise will come from God, not from people.

Did you see that Jesus will judge the secrets of mens hearts according to the gospel of Paul.

Paul refutes via Romans 3 that any person is saved via the examples in Romans 2, making his argument in 3:23. And prior to that? The whole world is guilty before God; 3:19.

People trip me out with this "written on their hearts" thing as if the Gentiles are then good, OT law abiding saints and will be judged by their works. LOL!!!!!! Take that to it's logical end, and there would be no need for Christ and His sacrifice which is ridiculously absurd. People need to stop mixing mysticism with Scripture.

Yeah. The Jews had the Law written on tables of stone and in their hearts and lived in open rebellion most of the time by be idolaters.

Yeah. The Jews had the Law written on tables of stone and in their hearts and lived in open rebellion most of the time by be idolaters.
Which leads to yet another false mysticism held by many professing believers. They believe that a national Jew somehow is saved without knowing Christ as Savior. These also may preach that the poor innocent somebody somewhere is saved without ever hearing the Gospel.

To top it off? They will also say they are Sola Scriptura and Solus Christus.
