Let me ask you "How does your real faith result in real fruit? Magic? God intervening without your agreement and behavior following suit? My problem is you never take on the obligation to Christ, the fear and meekness in your relationship to Christ; only the blessings of Christ in your faith. Or am I not seeing it? Let me know....
Its a shame me as you don't really know me and you say I never take on the obligation to Christ and I am only seeking blessings.

That may be based on my quotes I have posted as to what faith is even though I think I have made it clear (which I hope I have) that faith is not just about getting Its about giving.

Loving someone more than yourself, loving your enemies and so on.

Just so you know I dint think you are seeing it just as I am obviously not seeing what you are saying. But have you seen me post something like the following to you?

My problem is you never take on the obligation to Christ, the fear and meekness in your relationship to Christ; only the blessings of Christ in your faith.

Slave is saying that you have to do things in order for a relationship to continue.

What if I don't FEEL like doing anything?
What if I don't FEEL like being nice to people?
Am I still good?
Is Jesus happy with me?
Based on what HE said, I don't believe He would be.

What Slave is saying, and I agree, is that we are REQUIRED to do works, it is NECESSARY to do works...
Whether or not we feel like it or whether or not we do them out of love or because JESUS COMMANDED THAT WE DO THEM.

Sometimes I don't like my husband,
I still make dinner
.
Well I would say it a little bit more like this: "Christ so loved me, and gives me Himself as my New Agape love for others (even unto Himself) that I now possess, that, despite the fact I have to do something that costs me effort (making dinner in this example), I not only still like my husband, but I actually love him, and all the while I have done that which cost me, for then, it is a privilege to serve, not a sacrifice. Making my husband happy is, in reality, making me happy. Now, keep in mind I was referencing your example, for I am not married to any a man, just to keep the record straight. Smile..

ok explain it to me what faith is as if I'm a 5 year old.

I also have access and had excess to theologians skilled in Koine Greek.
You obvioulsy seem to think I am teaching some heresy.

The funny thing about these Greek theologian types is that they still have differing opinions amongst themselves about Greek meanings depending on their own personal beliefs and church teachings too.

For example take speaking in tongues - there are some that believe it is for today - some that don't. There are some Greek scholars that believe women can be leaders in the church and some that don't.

Here is the funny part that makes me smile - they all use their personal understanding of Greek to "prove" what they believe to be true and thus "prove" the other one wrong even though they are on opposite sides of the issue.

Bill, I NEVER said you said anything....
I was only answering your question.

I'm not disagreeing.
What I'm saying is that we MUST act on our faith, whether or not we want to.
Some here make it seem like one has to do nothing but only believe.
Jesus never said this. He spoke about how we are to be and what we are to do.

I will not be put down for repeating what Jesus said.

Im sorry to inform you sister, but in this forum the majority will attack for clinging to the true Gospel !! speaking from a years experience, but remember " rejoice for Great is your reward when people insult you, and exclude you for my sake :)

God bless and Keep you

Are you praying for that goal to be met in you? Do you believe everything I just mentioned doesn't mean legalism but indeed means freedom?

So odd you say that, actually quite odd to see you say anything along
the lines of what people reject knowing how you yourself do not accept
Scripture. You do not have the true gospel! You deny the deity of Christ.

The true Gospel of the grace of God in Christ is all about Christ Himself. He is the gospel. He provides His life - He provides His faith, He provides His works.

Receiving Christ is simple and it is done when we hear the message of Him when we believed.

The true message of the gospel of the grace of God in Christ is a stumbling block to all of us with a works-based and works-righteousness belief system. It is anti-Christ at it's core.

We will do good works as a result of already being saved and His life is manifested if we feed Christians with the proper nutrients of His love and grace so that they can have their minds renewed and walk in His life being manifested in and through them.

Oh please.
There you go again with the Greek. Where did YOU study it?? For how long??

You can't add anything to what Jesus already did to save you?

Nice. SO SIT BACK comfortably and don't do anything.
And critcize those who ARE doing something, as Jesus HIMSELF instructed us to do.

And I'd also appreciate it if you stopped putting down Catholics.
Why not stick to verses and scripture and quit hating your Brother Christians.

Do you know what Jesus said about loving each other?
Then WHY aren't you doing it???
The NT was originally written in Greek, not English. Why are you so against Greek? You seem to think that we can add to what Jesus did to save us? So please tell me, how many works must we accomplish and "add" as a supplement to Christ's finished work of redemption in order to help Him save us? What are you really trusting in for salvation? Christ alone or works? I never said anything about sitting back and doing nothing after having been saved through faith. The Christian life is not about sitting back and doing nothing, but it's also not about salvation by works either. I now do something out of gratitude and love for the Lord and not to try and earn my salvation. Big difference. I don't hate Catholics, but I hate false doctrine taught in Catholicism that blinds Catholics from the truth. Don't forget, I was born and raise in the Roman Catholic church and was deceived by the Roman Catholic church for years, so I have earned the right to speak out about Catholicism. Most of my family still attends the RCC and unfortunately, believes their false gospel. I still love my family regardless and I love my brothers and sisters in Christ. Enough with the lecturing about love. You don't know my heart and you are not with me 24/7, so you are not qualified to make the judgment call that I'm not loving others.

As I said you don't really know me and I don't think you really want to.

And it's obvious you have not read what I was saying about loving.

So I will tell you. I know Jesus paid the ultimate price for me and for that I will be for ever thankful.

I love Jesus, I want to be like Jesus and walk like Jesus with others. Fruit for me is not me thinking it's "magic" as you seemed to think it is. There have been times where I have been asked by God to do something and I really didn't want to, but I actually have done what he has asked me to do.

I ask every day many times help me to be the person I know I should be.

I won't answer your last question as it's loaded and I probably know what your answer is, and should I disagree it's only going to give you ammunition to throw at me.

True biblical belief is of the heart - not in the head or mind. God looks on the heart - man look on the outward appearance.

Getting "saved" is simple.

Romans 10:9-10 (NASB)
[SUP]9 [/SUP] that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;

[SUP]10 [/SUP] for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.

The process is simple to receive Christ but it cost Him His life and blood shed to set us free.

1) we hear the message of Christ - the gospel of our salvation in Him

2) we believe the message from our hearts

3) we were sealed with the Holy Spirit ( Jesus said in John 14:16 that the Holy Spirit will be with us and in us forever - now was Jesus lying or is he like a "bait and switch" car salesman that has "fine print" which He doesn't talk about )

Ephesians 1:13 (NASB)
[SUP]13 [/SUP] In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, = 1)

the gospel of your salvation
having also believed, = 2)

you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, =
3)

you were sealed =
aorist indicative tense / passive voice = a one time event in the past that remains in effect.

Passive voice = the sealing was not done by us but by an outside force - the Holy Spirit Himself.

Hey Magenta,

Some questions are too diffcult for ya?
You think I'M antagonistic? Interesting.

Here's my post again:

How is my question above being "antagonistic"?
Maybe you just can't answer it?
Yes, Fran, I hope you can appreciate that I make a concerted effort to be fairly meticulously consistent in saying what I mean and meaning what I say. Why would you doubt that? I think you are being antagonistic, toward quite a few people actually, and if you do not see it with your taunting attitude, and repeatedly claiming I have not done something that I believe I have, then there is not much I can do to help you get over your denial, and desire to disparage, due to your own lack of understanding, and maybe even your dishonesty. Does it antagonize you to be told your attitude is antagonizing?

It seems, too, that you are still trying to peddle heresies by intimating that sin is somehow accidental. That goes against Scripture, Fran. Scripture is clear that sin is not an accident. Maybe you just don't know what the Bible actually says on the issue. I would suggest that you read Romans one, verses 20-22. It should help clear up your misconceptions, so that you do not continue to broadcast your mistaken construction, and lead others into grievous error as you used to.

Are you still scrappy from your RCC days? I would understand if you are. They don't seem far enough behind you, yet. Perhaps you need a lot more distance between yourself and all the heretical papist twaddle that you used to peddle and still defend. It would probably also be helpful if you stopped pretending that others don't know what they are talking about when it comes to the RCC, as if only you know what they teach. Your inclination to defend their scandalous idolatry is reprehensible. Yes, Fran. Reprehensible You needn't question me about it. I really meant what I said Do you know what it means? A lot of what the RCC teaches is disgusting. I am so glad you have given it up.

The gospel of the grace of God is good news! Believe it and receive the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness.

Jesus said He will never leave nor forsake you. Jesus said that nothing can pluck us out of His hand nor the Father's hand. Jesus said all that come to Me - I will lose none of them. Jesus said that the Holy Spirit when He comes - He will be with you and in you forever.

Now, the real question here is - Is Jesus a liar? Everyone must make their own decision on that.

Me - I believe Him and so I boldly preach and teach the love and grace of God in Christ so that we can grow up in Him. A dying and hurt world needs to see the love and grace that our loving Father and Lord have for them.

The religion of Christianity that we have made it to be is a vey poor substitute for knowing Christ Himself.

Acts 20:24 (NASB)
[SUP]24 [/SUP] "But I do not consider my life of any account as dear to myself, so that I may finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify solemnly of the gospel of the grace of God.

The word of the grace of God in Christ is what builds us up and gives us the inheritance that is ours in Christ.

Acts 20:32 (NASB)
[SUP]32 [/SUP] "And now I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified.

We are to fix our hope completely on the grace of God that comes with the revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Peter 1:13
[SUP]13 [/SUP] Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace being brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Religion always gets the gospel and the things of God in Christ backwards and tries to achieve by what they do or don't do - what Christ has already done. Christ is a stumbling block to the works-righteousness belief system.

When it is pointed out that Jason does not accept what Scripture explicitly says, and that he teaches a false gospel, he will then begin to continually slander you and then slyly intimate it is YOU who does not believe what Scripture says and YOU who goes around attacking people for promoting the true gospel of Christ. The hypocrisy stinks to high heaven.

Like here, Jason pretending I am obsessed with him because I point out a grievous error of his while he goes around thinking it is his duty to point out what he believes to be other people's error. Is he obsessed with us?
