Some folks can't handle being wrong or conflict of any type.
I have seen it with small kids. They retreat into their safe zone. Mostly it's with kids from broken homes where their parents fight a lot and yell at each other.
We never know what is going on in someone else's life. Retreating and falling upon God and His love is a good thing.
It's my safe place too.

God does not kick us out. (we would have to walk out)
Let's just say we disagree.
Even if we walk out God will still send messages tell us He loves us and wants us to come back home.
We may walk away from God, but God never gives up or stops loving us. I have faith that His love will overcome all and draw all His children back into His loving arms.

I believe he steps over the line there. We aren't to judge another person's salvation. That is for God alone.
You can disagree with doctrines, but it gets nasty when folks start judging others salvation....
It's bad doctrine and falling into sin when folks judge others salvation.

Personally all the strawmen folks create are pretty vain,but most don't believe the stances their opponents claim they believe...that's why strawmen are so useful.

From my perspective, I am seeing how you reflect anothers perspective, while not actually
understanding they are disowning faith from their opposition.

I am an Amillenialist. I believe that Jesus took His throne and His Angels toss Satan and His fallen angels to earth and we have to deal with them here now.
However that is a whole other thread.
I do believe there is spiritual wickedness in high places: government, business, etc. Perhaps there are still agents in Heaven that need to be tossed. However I believe the majority of them are roaming on Earth now and earth is the current battlefield.

You can tell when you and others fall because your fruits become rotten and bickering increases around you.

Penn looked at my statement of faith, and went, this guy might actually know the Lord.
Maybe I have got it wrong.
This is the reaction of someone who has been steeped in propoganda and realises the
"enemy" is not as painted.

but embedded in every sermon or sharing. This is the truth, but the works evil people

My heart is for us to walk in purity and holiness, but this is legalism to this group and its
enemy so though are starting point is similar I could never work in such a fellowship.

become more profound is seen as growing in spiritual maturity.

Ariel - I would be happy not to be regarded as a legalist, but after being told this for
years, and none of the main accusers changing their tune, it is not a straw man but
their conviction. Or maybe you mean something else, because I should never make

By the way, understanding God's Agape love and believing His promises to always be there for me is fundamental to my faith and my walk with Him. It's His love that allows me to love others. It's His forgiveness and grace that allows me to give and forgive others even when they never say sorry or keep lashing out at me with their misconceptions and lies about who I am and what I believe.
So yes, eternal security is rooted in Agape love and if not understood and accepted leaves people open to attacks from Satan. People who don't understand this teaching have within their minds spiritual strongholds that war against God's wisdom and grace.
I pray daily that God will help them tear those strongholds down and they find His peace and love and rest,
