Retreat into safe place....

this behavior of not accepting what you do by making false accusations and building strawmen is why nothing gets resolved.

.it is good to fall upon Christ, but when will you stop making strawmen and actually listen to what the real people are saying instead of making false strawmen and calling them truth?

Do you know how you can tell the difference between reality and strawmen?

The person you are talking to affirms that what you believe they are saying is true.

It's called communication.

No it's acknowledgement of fact.

Most in this thread seek to serve God, that is true.

What is different is how we view God and His commandments to His children.

What is different is the word you think is dirty: doctrine.

Our beliefs about WHO GOD IS and how we become His children differs as well.

So the question comes down to...

Do you worship the same God that I worship? Whose child are you?

My God tells me that He washed me clean by the blood of the Lamb. He gives me the Holy Spirit to walk with me and guide me and allows me to confidently call out Abba, father. My God tells me He will never forsake me. My God teaches me about heavenly wisdom and the importance of taming my tongue and displaying the fruit of walking with the Holy Spirit. My God chastens me and teaches me His righteousness. My God created the whole universe and is greater than anything I can possible understand, his plans are greater than me and even if at the end of my life and I am not saved from the fire, my God would still be just because mercy and grace are gifts.

Who is the God you worship?

Peterjens....their beliefs of God has not changed...if anything has changed is your filter that you view their words from that is constantly shifting.

Occasionally you may look past yiur burning strawman, but it's a rare occasion.

You don't describe communication. You describe how to,build fantasy lands.

Communication is when you actually hear and understand what others say to you.

Which doesn't seem to happen often when speaking to you.

It happens less when you feel insulted and defensive.

Yes there is, Look in the mirror, and read what you continue to write everyday.

You claim your faith and security is in christ, but is it peter? How can you lose salvation if your security is in christ, can you answer that? Is God not able to save you completely? Is he not able to finsih what he started? He said he would why do you not believe him?

After over 1.5 years of this, it is not exactly unexpected or new.

And funnily people cannot believe my patience, but then being a father who
sets boundaries I do not break, it is not that difficult. Children will be children
even in their 50's. And I always have hope for anyone, because that is the
way of love.

This guy is a typical preacher of a type of fellowship to which many do belong, and
express these points of view. What was interesting was the final conclusion this
pastor came to after 10 years of ministry. It was all about self and his dreams, that
God never answered or responded to, and while he condemned the other denominations
it was his ministry that was wrong and deluded.

Much applies to position people take here, and is eye openning though I am sure many
will not bother, lol.
