OK, Salvation is guaranteed if we repent and ask Jesus to be our Savior and walk in that faith. Physical healing is NOT guaranteed in the same way salvation is guaranteed. It is possible for a Christian to be physically healed, and faith does play a role in it, however it is not guaranteed as salvation is guaranteed. Because physical healing is not guaranteed for a Christian, therefore it is not a good idea to judge another person on whether or not they are healed.

That is a great idea. That doesn't mean you can't post the scriptures and the beliefs you have - just don't interact with them because it just gets messy and causes strife and division and there is no real environment to actually discuss the scriptures without being insulted.

It is ok to agree to disagree on things too but it can be done in a respectful way.

Once people start with the insults and de-meaning of others - it's time to stop associating with them as no good can come from that sort of behavior. They will try to "lord it over your faith" and publicly insult you if you have a different view then they or their group does.

They will use anything they can to insult your view if it is different then theirs - from saying you will not accept "sound doctrine" which is their interpretation of things obviously to de-meaning and being condescending because you don't have "their education" or went to the bible school or seminary that they did...etc.

It is just foul behavior and it is best just to ignore them and avoid them like Paul says in Romans 16:17
Right! I came here to discuss, not to fight and it seems that everything that gets shared in peace meets JAWS to get chewed up. The Word says "You will know them by their love." But some of the people here don't show any love at all...

No one knows all there is to know about a subject nor does anyone prophesy 100% of the time either.

1 Corinthians 13:9 (KJV)
[SUP]9 [/SUP] For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.

1 Corinthians 13:12-13 (NASB)
[SUP]12 [/SUP] For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known.

[SUP]13 [/SUP] But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love.
I hesitate in what I am about to write, but let God deal with it as He may

I have gifts that deal with the prophetic

very direct and explicit. including what some call visions.

I could sit here all day and say certain things about people; what I know from what no one told me. but of course I do not do that. this is a forum, not a church. but God has certainly used me in 'healing' people who have been wounded by what has passed for the Holy Spirit and is not

the devil comes as an angel of light and fools many. once you open that door, it seems you are sensitive. God allowed certain things in my life and my entire life went off the rails. I was ignorant of the devil's schemes and how much harm he can actually do. No one was ever more sincere than I was when I stood up in church when the call went out for who wanted to dedicate their life to service to God. I had just turned 20.

that night, I had a vision. a literal bonified eyes wide open apparation and I said yes to that 'vision. to make a very long and very painful story short, it was demonic and only the mercy of God got me out of it but it took 7 years of my life

I really don't care what anyone thinks and I can warn people until Jesus comes back. I have a very sensitive ear when it comes to what is fake and I am not quick to make judgement on it. But as I said, I do have prophetic gifts and I have even asked God to tune them back because I am uncomfortable with it. I have never stated any of this on this or any other forum but people who know me personally will seek me out for help and prayer. I never tell people what to do. I only pray with them.

I could post event after even that has happened through things God has shown me. I am nothing and no one. Just someone who went through absolute hell and back and turned their back on everything because of fake Christians who were deep into the WOF mess and prophetic garbage. my background is not charismatic or pentecostal and I had no clue who to trust or what the hee hah was going on

I am saddened by what I see here and I seldom speak up because I know it is about useless to do so. put me on ignore and put everyone else on ignore

go for it

I am sorry for the anger and hostility expressed by some. I am sorry for the name calling and the nastiness

none of it is God

God says to remember the Israelite's in the desert and how He led them. They would not listen land He proved them for 40 years

Some here are being proven as I write this and they do not even know.

really not much else I can say except I wish people would listen

Well.....unfortunately they have been taught a certain way and if anyone has a different belief in an area - then they are to be attacked.

Some people have legitimately had some bad experiences with other Christians and so they are bitter and hurt. That doesn't negate the truth that could be in what others are saying.

This crying about "You are saying I am in unbelief" is not from God. Jesus told many people they did not have things happen because of their unbelief. If Jesus Himself was here - these same people might think differently about how they view unbelief.

I can have unbelief that God will not take care of my needs coming up nest year. I then can listen to a teaching that says to have faith in God - He will supply all your need according to His riches in Christ. I am not going to "attack" the one that says that and accuse them of saying I don't have faith in that area. I should be thankful for the encouragement to actually trust in God.

Personally I would rather die with an illness like cancer then to say that God will not heal me nor does he want to heal me. It is just so against what the scriptures say.

Here is a great video about - How it "might seem" that God doesn't want to heal people but when Jesus Himself shows up - people are healed. Jesus always reveals the heart and nature of the Father and does His will.

I pray that the Lord leads you in the calling that He has for you and that you continue to develop in this. I believe in visions and things of the Spirit like that.

Personally I believe every denomination in the body of Christ has some sort of error in it but the Lord is bringing clarity and truth to all of us with a heart that is open for it.

I am sorry for any abuse any Christian has done to you or your family. The Lord will be "caught in the act of being Himself" and be faithful to all of us...All is well...:)

I believe you are sincere

and sincerely wrong in some of what you state

however, and this is true, I do not want to hurt you or anyone else

so I guess all is well and God is faithful but it's gonna hurt more. sorry about that

Some people have legitimately had some bad experiences with other Christians and so they are bitter and hurt. That doesn't negate the truth that could be in what others are saying.

bitterness is not the impetus behind what each person posts

the anger and nastiness directed at each side is not needed

truth. now there's a word

let God be proved true and every man (meaning mankind) a liar

God knows

I'm sorry for all of it. I hurt for others and that comes out of my own pain.

I do wish for each person here they may know the truth but sadly, there is blockage on both sides

God is a mystery and not one single one of us has Him figured out, but we can put our faith IN Him

thing is, many are putting their faith in things that are not of Him but they think they are

You won't be bothered with any healing... so, don't worry about it.

let me step out of what I said regarding insulting and name calling to take a moment to address this post of yours

you are a scoffer. plain and simple and apparently simple minded enough that you are unteachable because of your arrogance

I have been healed both physically and emotionally

I have seen others healed by God, even animals

thankfully, a person like you has no say in whether or not God heals

your comments are on the left side of WOF even for WOF

you do more harm to your own cause than most here

I often just weep when I take the time to think of what God has done for us . I or we deserve nothing. Still He came to save us from ourselves. To even desire anything beyond that is just reprehensible. The gift we have been given is sufficient . Anything beyond that should never be asked for . We have been given the most awesome gift from a most Holy God .
Blessings

I am no fan of the WOF movement and know it and their false teachings very well, because we were ensnared in it for a few years until God helped us get out it.

With that said, are you saying the woman with the issue of Blood did not deserve to have her faith rewarded? I will remind you that she went looking for the savior to heal her physically and he did not going looking for her or single her out to be healed.

the pendulum swings both ways, right?

on one side there are the exaggerated claims of WOF and the false dreams and visions crowd

and then on the other side, we have the 'God does not do those things anymore' crowd

You have obviously forgotten the reason why I am angry at Word Faith, and the people who propagate it.

1. It is Biblically incorrect. If people want to post on this thread, which I created to discuss what the Bible says about this doctrine, then yes, they are obligated to defend their position, or take their misinformation and opinions elsewhere.

2. It is a hurtful, condemning and judgmental false doctrine.

When I started this thread last year, there was a parallel thread with people yelling at each other and saying they were right, so I specifically asked that this thread could actually discuss the Bible. I have pleaded with people to take their opinions elsewhere, which is frustrating the purpose and the point of this thread, as you well know.

I got hurt by Word Faith, when I was terribly ill with excruciatingly painful Rheumatoid Arthritis (and no diagnosis), and my Word Faith friends started blaming me because I wasn't healed, and had no faith. It wounded me so deeply, and drove me away from God for 2 long years. That was because I did not know what they were saying was a complete fabrication. I can only praise God he led me out of that spiritual desert, in so many ways. But, I continue to be hurt for the hurting. People who might not even be members, who read this post and they see it is wrong. Except that most people are only reading the last pages, and it is just opinions and slander. No one should have to go through what I went through, because of this heinous doctrine.

Then, the friends who were Word Faith, and one of them died, because she refused medical treatment because she "claimed" she was healed. DIED! That is the true meaning of Word Faith. The other person got surgery, and didn't die. And he did back away a bit from the heresy.

I am angry at the doctrine, and more angry that people have wrecked what was a long thread, of actually discussing the bible. Some people left still believing their heresy, but I have no problem with that, because at least they looked deeper at the other side. It is those who start name calling, even putting me down because I have studied to show myself approved, that also upset me.

As for my own good, I am quite able to take care of myself, with help from some friends here at CC. But, I will continue to be outraged and to fight this evil doctrine at every turn. It is a seduction from Satan.

I pray for those who are caught in this delusion, that God will wake them up to how bad this corrupt and malicious doctrine is, before they get hurt.

I spent 60 pages trying to discuss the Bible, and all I got was mud slinging from a few people - some of whom did not even know what Word Faith was about (or so he claimed!) I was nice, and what happened?

Maybe sometimes an angry rebuke is necessary! I have no problem giving one, if it means some people will be led out of the darkness into the light!
Angela,
Everything you have stated is true. We lived it for almost 2 years and witnessed what you described and worse.
Just a few nights ago I was channel surf and on the Kenneth Copeland BVOV channel some WOF teacher said that when Jesus sweated great drops of blood at the rock of agony and it hit the ground it removed the curse from the ground. He further stated that because of this he has never had dead grass, tress, bushes, or thorns or thistles in his yard.

When people lie about what God says and promises, that is when they cross a line and are no longer leading people towards God but towards a false idol of their own creation.

When this idol doesn't grant their prayers, people get mad and turn completely from God and any light towards the darkness.

That is the true danger of the false light provided by people who teach a false health and wealth doctrine NOT found in the BIBLE.

Only through prayer and encouraging people to read the Bible themselves to see past the lies, will they truly be set free of the lies and spiritual strongholds that keep them from learning God's true wisdom, purpose and promise.

God doesn't promise to bless you financially when you "sow seed money"

He says He has ALREADY GIVEN you all you need to live a godly life.

God teaches contentment in whatever state you are in finanacially and the Bible tells us we need to thank God for His providence....not demand more like spoiled kids.

God promised that we would suffer in this world because this is NOT OUR HOME. The early church was persecuted, imprisoned, fed to lions, killed many other ways.

Physical health is not promised in this life. It is hoped for when we get resurrected bodies. Until then these bodies will grow old and die.

Anyway I wanted just add my voice to yours and Angela and others who tell people they need to be wary of the word of Faith doctrines that teach against scripture and build a false idol of what God really promises to His people.

I won't stick around, because I am sure to be attacked by others.

Victim mentality much???

Concerning the lady that was bitter... have you not read what Jesus said about un-forgiveness??? If you had, you'd understand that not forgiving is bitterness and it opens the door to the tormentors (devils) whether one is a Christian or not (see Gal 6:7,8)

Matthew 18:23-35

Therefore the Kingdom of Heaven is like a certain king, who wanted to reconcile accounts with his servants. When he had begun to reconcile, one was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents. But because he couldn’t pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, with his wife, his children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.

The servant therefore fell down and kneeled before him, saying, ‘Lord, have patience with me, and I will repay you all!’ The lord of that servant, being moved with compassion, released him, and forgave him the debt. "But that servant went out, and found one of his fellow servants, who owed him one hundred denarii, and he grabbed him, and took him by the throat, saying, ‘Pay me what you owe!’

"So his fellow servant fell down at his feet and begged him, saying, ‘Have patience with me, and I will repay you!’ He would not, but went and cast him into prison, until he should pay back that which was due. So when his fellow servants saw what was done, they were exceedingly sorry, and came and told to their lord all that was done.

Then his lord called him in, and said to him, ‘You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt, because you begged me. Shouldn’t you also have had mercy on your fellow servant, even as I had mercy on you?’ His lord was angry, and delivered him to the tormentors, until he should pay all that was due to him.
So my heavenly Father will also do to you, if you don’t each forgive your brother from your hearts for his misdeeds

You might want to jump on that forgiveness thing and forgive those that you believe hurt you whether real or imagined.

You speak as one that is having issues with tormentors cause you have refused to forgive others.

Sometimes ya just gotta let things go and ya gotta let others have their point of view even if... gasp... they disagree with you!

And reject some of the promises of God in the process... bitterness and un-forgiveness breads blindness because it's walking after the flesh no matter how good the intentions are.

Cause some of what you were saying was an attack against God's promises written in His Word.... that's of the devil and is not of God.

Sure all of us say some strong things to one another as we express out views... but the immature ones get offended because they have not learned how to keep the accuser of the brethren out of their thought life as the devil takes them captive at his will because they oppose themselves (2 Timothy 2:24-26) not being doers of the Word but hearers only deceiving themselves (James 1:22)

Bottom line is none of us can afford to get in to un-forgivness... if someone says something you don't like or agree with, say yer piece and then let it go! Learn ho to forgive and move on.
There will be a time in your life that you or someone close to you like spouse, child or family member become the victim to a disease process and we will see then if you talk such foolishness and bravado.

In our 26 months in WOF we watched the very same people making the very same arrogant, foolish statements like you, come under the very same conditions of those they placed into condemnation by shaming them for their forgiveness, etc.

We watched a pastors wife tell another women her unforgiveness & bitterness was causing her severe case of RA. The woman would not be placed under this spiritually mature spiritual witchcraft and condemnation and left the church. The Pastor, elders and his wife were like ha, cannot handle the truth at all let her and her family go. It is obvious she has bitterness and forgiveness in her life. We keep in contact with the woman because we ministered to her Daughter a lot.

6 months later to the day the woman got up one morning and was radically made whole. She had never asked for forgiveness and never walked in bitterness and was one of the most spiritually mature people we know today.

That very same day that Pastors wife woke up and was suffering from the same thing, but it was acute. They hid her condition for weeks until she died. She was gone in weeks not months or years. The autopsy concluded that the RA that invaded her body was a strain that was so rare they had not see it in years.

You reap what you sow and this Pastors wife did.

I know many stories like this in the movement. Spare us your armchair wind and clouds analysis.

Or even worse, that we do not overcome now, because I am not worthy of anything more from God, which gives way to false humility, which is the deepest and darkest form of pride and iniquity there is.

The form of false humility is usually generated by a mind deep in deception.

Of course it is all of that. This is from one who ridicules knowledge and quotes others who ridicule others who have Biblical knowledge.

There is little to respect from those who do these things. Look at what Scripture says about obtaining and growing in knowledge, and Scripture has much to say about this. Then look at those of his ilk who malign and ridicule this divine truth and deride those who have and hold to Bible knowledge and truth.

Yet they want others to listen to their "knowledge."

Is this enough evidence to convince us they are astray, or do we need more proof of their error?
sour grapes set the childrens teeth on edge.

Isn't joy one of the fruits of Holy Spirit.

Go Popeye...great post!

There are wrong thoughts about the Word in every camp. And wrong interactions with people in all the camps.

I do agree with Rock...no matter what is done to us...only we are responsible for our reaction.

No experience we might have should ever affect our faith in Gods Word.

He does heal, He wants to heal, and the ball is in our court to pursue Him. Him!

Grudges will kill us in our soul. Not spirit, but our soul which is what needs saved. That part of us that is our own personality.

Let the Word speak...and our thoughts fall to the ground if not in line with Him.

I admit to not reading the whole thread but I typically read the first post and then backwards from the last post.

I think it's worth folks reading..so this is my bump.
