"Not be personally instructed apart from His commanded assemblies"? Luke 12:12 "The Holy Spirit will give you the words to say AT THE MOMENT WHEN you need them". John 16:13 "However, When HE, the Spirit of Truth has come, He will direct you into all truth...". How much more "personally instructed" can you get? By the Holy Spirit Himself... "AT THE MOMENT WHEN..." I see nothing in the Word about only receiving instruction on the Sabbath.
I can see what you are saying...and me trying to explain further will not be understood UNTIL people start 'living scripture. Reading one thing, something 'on the surface...but they must be 'internalized to produce a 'new man. This can only happen as we CONTINUE to submit in everything...it's a slow, slow process not to be interupted till we die. God wants to bring us all into HIS HOLY presence. Keeping HIS HOLY day special in Spirit is only a start...a door opening to Him...don't stop before you have gone through !

(the conversation between LoveGodForever and Grandpa and Grace 777)
Hello JoDel,

So nice to meet you here. I hope you are enjoying your time here at CC. You are not butting in at all and this thread as all threads are open to everyone. May I suggest you read the complete thread before posting? I think you will see that much of what you have written has already been answered elsewhere else in this thread. Or you can try reading Post 912 to Grandpa which talks about the new covenant which is what you are alluding to. So it is pretty much repetition. If you are genuinely interested though I am more than happy to share God’s Word with you?

God bless you:)

I DO LIVE scripture, ma'am, and I have been in His Holy presence many times... but it wasn't on an obligatory day in an obligatory service, with obligatory worship. EVERY DAY, in His presence is a Holy Day... and I experience them often. He sees the heart, not a calendar.

The TRUTH can never be "repetitious". I'd gladly share God's word with you, once you learn to "rightly divide" it.

It is true God looks on the heart that is why He is patient with those who seek Him. If you think one is 'obliged to Him then you have a'stumbling stone in your life you have to get over. Obligatory obedience is OT...NOW we obey Him because we 'love Him and 'choose to...but always within HIS Will !

Its in black and white. The 10 commandments are the ministration of death and condemnation to us. Because we aren't Perfect like our Father in Heaven is Perfect. But if we suddenly were perfect then the requirements in the 10 commandments would no longer be death and condemnation.

This isn't opinion. This is fact. The 10 commandments are the ministration of death and condemnation.

Galatians 3:21 Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.

The law written on our hearts is a whole different thing. Its not something that causes us to work at our understanding of the law. It is what is the cause of the fulfillment of the law. And it is a gift, not our own work.

We aren't given rest from sin. We are given rest from our work at the law. Because our Righteousness comes from Christ and not our own work.

Faith without works is dead. lol.

You can say with your words that you don't work at the law to be saved. But yet you still work at the law. Why? You're not resting on saturdays by nature. That is silly. You are resting on saturdays because of your understanding of the law.

Your carnal understanding of the law IS the problem. No one is justified by it. And yet, you are trying to be justified by it....

Galatians isn't mainly about circumcision. Galatians is about Christians who have started in the Spirit through the Lord Jesus Christ and have gone BACKWARD to their carnal understanding of the law. Part of that carnal understanding was physical circumcision, yes.

There is no reason to go backward to your carnal understanding and work at the law for those who are in Christ Jesus.

Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
Galatians 5:4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
God has written His Law on my heart and that is how I am able to tell you that it isn't the 10 commandments that are written there.

Romans 7:4-6
4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.
6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

2 Corinthians 3:4-6

4 And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward:
5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;
6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

Galatians 2:18-21

18 For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor.
19 For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.
20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

Galatians 3:11-12

11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
12 And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.

You have confused Gods Law with the Law of Moses. Most people who want to justify their work at Moses Law do this. If you've had Gods Laws written on your heart you should know what they are and what they are not.

As mentioned at the beginning a long time ago, This conversation was for me to better grasp your position and where it is we clash. Now that I can see it I have reached my goal. Thank you for your time and effort and patience. I have no need to continue now but will answer questions if you still have any.

Dear JoDel,

Well that is a shame you feel that way about rightly dividing God's Word. What makes you think you are rightly dividing God's Word? Just because you say so does not mean its true. I believe God wants us to come to His Word just like the faithful Bereans don't you?

God bless you my friend

ok I get it. You are way ahead of me and I must 'catch up before I can talk with you. That's about right seen from a natural/carnal level. Actually the one with more understanding should 'wait for the slower brother or sister...think you will find that biblical.

Condescension is so juvenile... So, how about rising above it to an adult level? Re: Rightly dividing the word... If you were adept at doing so, you wouldn't patronize those who are.

Misunderstandings can take place easily when messaging such as this. No apology necessary. ~ Yes, I believe you are right about Jesus speaking of "intimate unity"... I wish we all could share that.
