And by God giving Him allowance means He is King, even over the devil. Gasp!! Shock!! Horror!!
It means God the Father is over all.

Who is on the throne in heaven right now? Who is seated next to Him?

God and the Christ is on His right hand. They are ruling now. This does not negate you devil exalting heresy. Gasp!! Shock!! Horror!!

And by God allowing it shows Who is in control. All He has to do is say "Stop!" and Satan stops. God is in control because He IS King. You're exaltation of Satan has not fallen upon blinded eyes.
Yep. God is like, um, actually God.

I know, it's so shocking this truth.

This is the THIRD time I am asking you this...

Is God sovereign over the devil, the one who has the lost blinded?

well yes I remember those conversations

however, part of my problem with preacher was his nasty posts, he seems to have calmed down some

anyway, I have never agreed with WOF. I think his gripe was really with my disclosure that I am not a Calvinist and also the fact I objected to some of his nastiness

well you would of course say the reformed side is more biblical if that is the side you choose

however, I have been there and back and if I am uncomfortable I will continue to pray until I am comfortable

my background is not Pentecostal or Charismatic but it is also not reformed

yeah probably someone is wrong somewhere, but I am not someone who follows a personality

thanks
My background is in southern baptist (highly superstitious sect of it), and very, very close to word of faith/charismatic. People used to claim I was gonna be a prophet, God had great plans for me, I had tons of "spiritual experiences" and all of that. I was extremely defensive of free will once I realized there were some people who actually didn't believe in free will. I didn't even know what reformed theology was until I one day decided to actually read the bible for myself as a whole and not cherry picked verses and passages here and there, which is what most unreformed preachers do.

So ultimately, I came to an understanding of reformed theology before I even knew what theology, doctrine, the reformation, Calvinism, or other branches of reformed thought even were. That is why I am confident in reformed theology and doctrines. Not simply because I belong to that camp, but because the bible undoubtedly confirms it.

Also, it is the only branch of Christianity that, from my perspective, tries to take an objective view of scripture and come to a proper understanding of it, even if some of the truths being expressed are difficult to swallow. I fought hard against predestination and election before I had read the bible, but anyone who denies these teachings of scripture are not being honest with themselves, which was true for me for a long time.

It's the one theology that denies man and exalts God in comparison to all the rest. That is why I believe it.

As far as the thing between you and P4T, I hope you guys can come to an understanding. I think me and you have and are at peace with one another in spite of our differences. I have tried to stay out of y'all's way when it comes to the disagreements between the two of you. I do hope you guys can work it out though.

I'm going to call you on this fib of yours because it's untrue.

In the thread I created (concerning Osteen) it was actually you who became very nasty with me.

Yes, it was you who began the assault.

Full attack mode to where you are still on ignore to this day. You and several others went into attack mode, attacking me for exposing false teachers, defending them and offering snide comments upon me for doing it. It was utterly hypocritical, the attack you all leveled while saying exposing others is wrong.

Then later on you and some of the others have made attempt to expose heresy yourselves, giving yourselves a double standard.

You really should go and look at the things you said. It was very ugly. You were very ugly. So were several others.

Go dig through my thread and post where I was nasty as you accuse, I really want to see it. Give us some proof of your accusations.

God has all power over Satan, but for the time being, God has allowed Satan to rule the darkness of this world.

You stated it best...

"People are offended that God is God."

I will speak for myself here:

For Christianity to make any sense whatsoever, God needs to be God!
Sovereign, Omniscient, Omnipotent, Omnipresent God!

The fact that Satan has some authority makes no difference.
The Mayor of Las Vegas NV does NOT have more power and authority than the President of the USA, no matter how much he may feel he is king of his patch.
A limited illustration I know, but it works on a conceptual level.

Finally an admission. God the Father is on the throne in heaven and Jesus Christ is seated at His right hand. Whewww!

But that doesn't mean He is just sitting there twiddling His thumbs, either.

God has all power over Satan, but for the time being, God has allowed Satan to rule the darkness of this world.
He is ruling the world, with the world in context, being the lost. Jesus mentioned a stronger man comes in and overthrows the strong man, casts him out, and spoils his goods. The Stronger man is God who casts Satan out, removes the veil of Satan that has them blinded. We, the believers, are in the Kingdom of Light, the lost in the kingdom of darkness. But we were in that darkness once, too. However, God rescued us from that kingdom. That shows He is King now.

“[God] raised [Christ] from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places… . He put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.”
- Ephesians 1:20–23

He is King, He is LORD.

The kingdoms discussed in Daniel 2:37-40 all ruled over people here on Earth.
And so will God’s Kingdom! The Kingdom of God will be a literal government,
just as the Roman Empire was ruling over people. That Kingdom will be set up
when Jesus Christ returns at the last trump (Revelation 11:15).

-

But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom,
and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever.

the saints here would have to be immortal to take and posesses it forever.

-

“Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God …”

Yet, not all His elect have been gathered in. When the last elect is saved, watch out!!
