A Christian can be so busy doing good works that there is no time spent in the presence of the Lord. No hearing from the Spirit, so which would the works be birthed out of?

God or self?
If you have the Spirit of God
within you then you are always in the presence of the Lord.

How can you not hear the Spirit if it is within you?

Are you speaking from your own experience?

There have been times when I have hosted meetings in my home and was so busy that I "missed" Him. Plus, was so tired during the meeting.

But, the Lord is faithful. I had an awesome experience with Him during one of them that I'll never forget.

We can be too busy with worldly occupations that we don't spend that time in the secret place.

But, I know what you are saying. We are within always Spirit.

That doesn't change.

Are you denying we don't need to fellowship with Him?

Positional righteousness is gained at conversion, practical righteousness is the gateway to abiding in him and having intimate relationship with him and it is done out of love for what he did for us.

There is only one kind of righteousness and it is God's righteousness. The terms positional and practical are all man-made.

There is however "deeds of righteousness" ( perhaps this is what you are referring to with the "practical" term? ) which the scriptures talk about.

In the New Covenant we receive Christ's righteousness because we believe NOT because "we do".

Doing righteous deeds by themselves does not make one righteous. This is having the cart before the horse.

I know there have been "good" people doing "righteous deeds " but they were not belonging to God. Many religions have moral living people in them - all doing "righteous deeds".

Here is how righteousness is manifested to a believer....we need to be righteousness conscious...not sin-conscious...we have a new creation in Christ now!

This "righteousness " that we already have now in our new creation ( the inner man ) is because we are in Christ - will manifest outwardly in doing righteous deeds -
but we need the "horse" in front first.

The "horse" being Christ's righteousness in us because of our being in Christ in our inner man..our new creation in Christ.

Awake to who you are in Christ!..Awake to righteousness and sin not..when you see who you are in Him in your new man..you become like Him outwardly.

2 Corinthians 3:17-18 (NASB)
[SUP]17 [/SUP] Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

[SUP]18 [/SUP] But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.

Hebrews 5:13 (NASB)
[SUP]13 [/SUP] For everyone who partakes only of milk is not accustomed to the word of righteousness, for he is an infant.

Romans 5:17 (NASB)
[SUP]17 [/SUP] For if by the transgression of the one, death reigned through the one, much more those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.

Isaiah 54:14 (NASB)
[SUP]14 [/SUP] "In righteousness you will be established; You will be far from oppression, for you will not fear; And from terror, for it will not come near you.

2 Corinthians 5:21 (NASB)
[SUP]21[/SUP] He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

When you see who you are in Christ because of His finished work...you become outwardly in behavior what you are truly like in your new inner man where Christ dwells.

Have I said anything to you that was not in Spirit and truth?

If so please point it out to us?

You said it to the group here. You can win any debate.
How is that not in Spirit and truth and I said it to one person but I will make it true what for your sake.

I can win any debate with anyone on here. And it will not even be hard. Not even close.

Now If I can do that to which I said it is not a sin.

Are you saying I can't?

I don't care if you can or not. Debating is not what I have in mind here.

It won't be long before you are banned again.

I'm disengaging with you.

I have no accusation to accuse you to God concerning your behavior towards me.
You will reap that to which you sow. That is comforting to me.
So I will take all the blessings and you can have that to which will be your reward
accusing me to God.

Thank you very much.

There is never any "winners" in any debate. Just sides where one scores more "points"

I say let God be true and everyone else be found sinners in need of a savior.

Isaiah still pertains. Phil 3:8 ...For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ 9 and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own … It is still possible today to do works in our own strength apart from God that is like wood hay and stubble as Paul said. The filthy rags are self-righteous works. This still goes on today, but those that are led by the Spirit of God are not being self-righteous. "For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from observing the law" ( Romans 3:28 ) People still think they are justified by their works and the law which is still filthy works to God. Just because it is before the indwelling of the Holy Spirit doesn't mean Isaiah doesn't pertain when it comes to doing works in our own strength. It is possible to be a saved Christian and be self-righteous or sin.
If you chase after worldly things, the flesh and, seek to "win" at all cost, then you aren't walking with the Holy Spirit.

God tells us to state the truth and allow Him to work.

We can bleed but only Christ blood cleanses away sin.

Ecclesiastes
Chapter 7

25 I applied mine heart to know, and to search,
and to seek out wisdom, and the reason of things,
and to know the wickedness of folly,
even of foolishness and madness:

26 And I find more bitter than death the woman,
whose heart is snares and nets, and her hands as bands:
whoso pleaseth God shall escape from her; but the sinner shall be taken by her.

27 Behold, this have I found, saith the preacher,
counting one by one, to find out the account:

28 Which yet my soul seeketh, but I find not:
one man among a thousand have I found;
but a woman among all those have I not found.

Proverbs 31
10An excellent wife, who can find?
For her worth is far above jewels.

11The heart of her husband trusts in her,
And he will have no lack of gain.

12She does him good and not evil
All the days of her life.

***
25Strength and dignity are her clothing,
And she smiles at the future.

26She opens her mouth in wisdom,
And the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.

2 John Chapter 1

9 Whosoever transgresseth,
and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God.
He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ,
he hath both the Father and the Son.

10 If there come any unto you,
and bring not this doctrine,
receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:

11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

There are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures. 17You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, take care that you are not carried away with the error of lawless people and lose your own stability. 18But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.
