You have called him a psychopath many times. If you want, I'd be glad to go find those posts and prove that you lie when you say you've never called Dcon a psychopath. :)

Never called you a psychopath, but you seemed to want to take this to heart, so who
am I to deny a label you want to own.

What is funny is this accusation coming from someone who uses labels all the time
actual or implied. But then that is why if an example is given of a problem, you automatically
apply it to yourself because that is how you think when you are giving examples.

It should be assumed examples are just that, not aimed at any individual unless actually
applied to a person in particular. There was a time when people were more reluctant to
label so clearly, but now that seems to have gone out of the window.

And by the way I try not to name call, but rather describe how people come across.
So this continual accusation I used the psychopath example specific to you, is an
example of unsubstantiated slander. But then those who have no problem with slander
use these arguments all the time. But then maybe without a conscience, upsetting people
is just not an issue, or even sinning against them.

And DCON & EG Ariel have never called people stupid or other things in the heat of the battle, right?

One such reason this thread should be deleted or closed....

Its giving one side of the debate victim ability to act out, while accusing the other side of foul play...

The argument is not can dead faith save,

the argument is do works save, or maintain salvation, And can true saving faith be separated from works.

It seems you do not understand the argument yourself.

again, Can you please show the room where one person said a dead faith would save anyone. (this is the third time I have asked today, are you afraid because you know no one actually says this?) or just you can not show anyone saying this? which is it)

Your new here, and you come in with your guns a firing, mocking people like your on old reg.

Why do you not start to prove what your saying instead of attacking people.
Bingo.......so which banned false teacher is he back from banville.....he cannot find one of us that has said we will not bear fruit or do the works.....nothing but more embellished lies from this dude....par for the course with the workers for...

Yes, once again it's been entertaining to see the church pontificate about how salvation is by faith apart from works (which it is), and then say for that reason you do not have to have works attached to your faith to be saved, but then they'll turn right around and insist that they are not saying dead faith (faith without works attached) saves. Lol!
You should say....Once again I lie about what is really being said while pushing a false gospel.....so tell me...how does lying and embellishing what one states help your works for salvation café blend gospel?
PHart - is making a general observation of the attitude of some, not being specific on cc
or elsewhere to attaching faith and works and then also detaching it.

It is a valid construct with a valid contradiction.

Now if the statement was linked to a specific person or statement you could say it
was a lie about someones position, or even pushing an agenda, but it is just a construct
and illuminating a problem.

On the other hand dc is attacking someone, accusing them of lying and preaching something
in the post which is just not there.

So all I can make of this is someone is emotionally upset and wants to do harm to another,
but has no ammunition so is inventing it. But if one is standing for truth, honesty and integrity
this is self defeating, unless they are not standing for this, so there are no constraints, morality
does not matter and anything goes????

But that is the way of the world, not the way of Christ. And it just demonstrates why we have
little respect for anyone who does this, because they deny the simple phrase, let your yes be
yes and your no be no, and do not bear false witness against your neighbour.

I'm not referring to them. I've never seen them call anyone here a psychopath, but I HAVE seen Peter do it, many times.. Calling someone stupid, and calling their belief system stupid, are two different things. Calling someone a psychopath is vastly different than calling them stupid..

Good works prove you have grace that is thru faith.. Grace is what empowers us to do these good works... Titus3:8 Heb 12:28.... Perhaps some have not been taught or realize grace enables us to keep in obedience and not sin... John said IF not WHEN.. If we couldnt help it then he would have said when...
Amen sister.

There are many IF's in the N.T.
Many just refuse to see them...

1 Corinthians 15:1-2 New International Version (NIV)

The Resurrection of Christ

1 Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand.
2 By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.

At the end of the day.....the workers for will attempt to work their way into the kingdom and those who believe grace dia faith will continue to trust Jesus and take him at his word....

Tragic because ONLY those who go before the throne pushing their works as the means of entry will be cast.....faith plus works = false gospel....end of story....I am done arguing with workers for....I believe faith thru grace eternal salvation maintained by Christ and his working power....You want to trust yourself and your works...have a ball!!!!!!

fan clubbers on both sides of a debate always feel the means always justify the ends...calling some stupid is not nice, nor is calling another a psycho.

What don't you get?

That the Pharisees had a heathen faith in God and not a saving faith in Jesus?

Or the simple statement GOD REQUIRES MORE THAN OBEDIENCE?

I will have to continue this conversation another time. Life calls.
Why are you Always talking about heathens?
No wonder I don't understand you.

Who is a heathen here?

Are you going to be god and judge AGAIN?

I thought everyone here was a born again Chrsitian...
And we're discussing doctrine...

Also to activate this grace you must lay down your life.. Christ said the only way to find life is to lay yours down.. Perhaps those who have seen no or noticed no ability to keep in obedience it would be because they have not fully laid their life down to find the one Jesus has for them..
Correct.
Romans 12:1

Present yourself a living sacrifice.

Our Whole life should be devoted to God.

If this isn't a "work", I dont' know what is...

Zi,
Do you know how to post scripture?
I added a few verses...

2 Peter 1:3-11 New International Version (NIV)

Confirming One’s Calling and Election

3 His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.
4 Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.

5 For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge;
6 and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness;
7 and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love.
8 For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9 But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins.

10 Therefore, my brothers and sisters,[a] make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble, 11 and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Yeah read romans 6

We have been baptized into his body

We have been baptized into his death

That just as he lived, WE SHALL LIVE ALSO.

You di dnot do any of it peter. God did it all. But you want to take credit, So sad.

PS, God does not use Peters defenition of sin, He uses his own. And you can not live up to that standard peter. No one can, Only Christ did.

When will you stop watering down Gods law. and give your life to him peter.

A LIKE from Stoneoffire.

I'm surprised.

EG is once again judging a person's soul.
(by telling Peter to give his life to God. I DO believe he already has and there is living proof of it).

I don't know. Am I supposed to report EG for trying to be god???

Rededicating is not the same as getting re-saved.

Not that I agree with alter calls. I think we should fall on our knees where we are. But why would you ask about that. Have you never fallen, and got back on your feet and rededicate yourself to God?
Why the need to rededicate???

Sounds like Catholic confession.
Are you Catholic???

I'm actually getting a kick out of being in a forum where everyone can throw their Bibles at each other, tip the pews over, throw chairs around, and mom and dad never come into the room to break it up. Lol. (I miss my lol smilie, though).
Ditto!!

[SUP]3 [/SUP]For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another. [SUP]4 [/SUP]But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, [SUP]5 [/SUP]not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, [SUP]6 [/SUP]whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, [SUP]7 [/SUP]that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.[SUP]8 [/SUP]This is a faithful saying, and these things I want you to affirm constantly, that those who have believed in God should be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men.

The works in vs 8 are not to save us, or maintain salvation, Paul proved that in verse 5.

Paul did not contradict himself.
The above is in reply to Zi.

I think you missed the highlighted sentence... it's ALL IMPORTANT.
