So here's my new back yard, out at the end of nowhere.

We're talking over forty miles to the nearest hospital.

I'm not sure what I'm doing with this life anymore, but i have to say, God is good.
That's my dream backyard!!

Me - I land at 1:55 PM. Don't bother. I'll take an uber.

Him - I am picking you up at 2:15.

*Then waits 30 minutes earlier than he said he would*

Me - *lounges in the sofa.* Oh I can hear fireworks.

Him - *working with a deadline* Hmmm. Come on out now.

Me - What?

Him - Hurry. I have this deadline.

*He dashes outside the house in his home PJs to the car. I follow along. He drives all the way to his office that is downtown without looking up. I can see the entire sky lit with fireworks. We drive to the nicest spot where people are already standing dotting the bridge.
He tells me to go outside while he tries to park illegally. I race to the bridge and I stand on the best spot in the city to see the fireworks in all but 15 minutes.

I then walked back, face shining to the car. He smiles back at me.*

Me - ❤️

Him - ;) ❤️

I don't think I mentioned it on here, but I got a promotion at work. I get my own little office - the first office I've had in my life! I may or may not have gone a little overboard with buying things for decoration (both office-y things and regular decoration things) but 1) I want to have the cutest darn space in the building and 2) If I'm there for 40 hours a week, I want it to feel at least a little homey. I have a color theme and everything... I should probably feel embarrassed, but nah.

Some of my coworkers' work spaces are so blank. I don't know how they stand it, all the creative bones in my body would die, but I guess not everyone is as crazy as me.

Congrats. Make the place as cute and cozy as you want. Maybe others will be encouraged to do the same.

Rachel: I would be one of the co-workers with blank walls because I don't really pay attention to decorations, mine or others.

But if that's what you like, and if you're paying for it out of your own pocket, go for it!

All I can see are clouds... Do you live in the sky?

You know what I meant!
My uncle was 14 pounds in weight when he was born (British pounds... Not stirling!) and as his mum was a short thin lady she was too embarissed to take him out in public as a baby. My cousins eldest boy was also large at birth. He told us
"When I was born, I was such a difficult child that they had me reduced".
(He actually meant to say induced, but reduced would have been easier I guess!)

Congratulations Melina!

My neighbor got a new puppy, he's a King Charles Caviler Spaniel. She was nervous about leaving him for work most of the day, sooo since I'm home anyhow I offered to check in on him, take him outside, play with him, cuddle him, give him little baby puppy hugs. It's the least I can do, :) . My kid's and I are having fun with this little guy, even my dog loves him.

Actually we go to his house and let him out of his kennel for a while. She wants him to get used to the kennel but he's only 14 weeks old so the bathroom is still iffy for him. He's doing really well though. He comes when you call him and he's being going outside, he's a good puppy, he's so snugly too. If for some reason she couldn't keep him, it would be a real hardship but I'd take him out of the kindness of my heart, not because I totally adore him or anything, lol.

I used a snarky meme. The target deserved it. It's still wrong. Sometimes I wish sarcasm weren't simply an expression of pride, anger, frustration or bitterness.
