John told us exactly what the commandments are in the New Covenant - seeing that the Old Covenant with the 10 commandments are obsolete and is a goner just as Hebrews says.

1 John 3:23 (NASB)
[SUP]23 [/SUP] This is His commandment, that we believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as He commanded us.

Now we live by the law of love, the law of faith ( the law is NOT of faith), the law of liberty, the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus - the law of Christ Himself. He is our life.

.............................. I rest my case...

View attachment 172112
if your case ,was proved wrong, then you do not have a case. \0/

your either under the yoke of law or under the freedom of grace. what you choose to retain need to be proven to have a case.
why do you think paul ,was doing when confronting peter. (have you read the story of, Ananias and Sapphira Acts 5)

Galatians 5: Christ Has Set Us Free
1 For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.

Paul Opposes Peter
11 But when Cephas came to Antioch, I opposed him to his face, because he stood condemned.Galatians 2

if he stood condemned, what was condemning him.

what was paul freeing him from.

Romans 8: Life in the Spirit
1 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.2 For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.

if all fall short, when did we, stop falling short, if our own deeds, are like rags in god s sight.

when it is let the fathers will be done.

WOOPS, you left out the context of the chapter... which is sin which is the transgression of God's Law. :)

1Jo 3:3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifies himself, even as he is pure.
1Jo 3:4 Whosoever commits sin transgresses also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
1Jo 3:5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
1Jo 3:6 Whosoever abides in him sins not: whosoever sins hath not seen him, neither known him.
1Jo 3:7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that does righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
1Jo 3:8 He that commits sin is of the devil; for the devil sins from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
1Jo 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
1Jo 3:10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever does not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loves not his brother.

Hope this helps

And none of those scriptures has to do with keeping the Sabbath as in the Old Testament way.

I will ask you again now for the 9th time.

Are Christians sinning and dis-obeying God if they don't observe the Sabbath as outlined in the Old Testament? - which is shown in the law of Moses - from Friday night to Saturday and all that goes with this keeping of the Sabbath?

It is a simple "yes or No" answer.

I will give you an example. If someone asks me "Is living the homosexual lifestyle a sin?" I would say Yes!

Please answer the question truthfully as this is only the 9th time you have not answered it - at the very least be honest with us.

You are entitled to believe that Daffy Duck and Donald Duck are the 2 witnesses in the book of Revelation if you choose, so you are entitled to your own opinion.

6 For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.7 For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God's law; indeed, it cannot.8 Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
9 You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.10 But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of(jesus christ ) righteousness.11 If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.Romans 8

All the Scriptures you were given provide the context from your interpretation. They are referring to God's Law which includes the 4th commandment (7th Day Sabbath; Ex 20:8-11).

Why do I need to answer anything that comes from you when you have not answered any of my questions in the past? We must follow God's Word over the teachings of man. I will answer yours if you answer my questions.

Please show me a single bible verse that says;

The Sabbath (seventh day) was ever changed from the seventh to the first day of the week?

Where we are told to keep the first day of the week holy?

Where the first day of the week (Sunday) is ever called a holy day?

That says that Jesus ever kept the first day (Sunday)?

That tells us to keep the first day in honour of the resurrection of Christ?

Where the first day is ever given any sacred name?

That affirms that any of the apostles ever kept the first day as the Sabbath?

From any apostolic writings that authorizes Sunday observance as the Sabbath of God?

Where we are told not to work on the first day of the week?

That says the seventh day is no longer God's Sabbath day?

That says the seventh day Sabbath is ABOLISHED?

Where the apostles ever taught any convert to keep the first day of the week as a Sabbath?

Where the first day was ever appointed to be kept as the Lord's Day?

Where the first day of the week is ever called the Lord's Day?

That says that the first day of the week was ever sanctified and hallowed as a day of rest?

That says that the Father or the Son (Jesus) rested on the first day of the week?

That says that Jesus, Paul or any other of the apostles taught anyone to observe the first day of the week as the Sabbath?

That calls the seventh day the “Jewish Sabbath” or one text that calls Sunday the “Christian Sabbath”?

Telling man to keep the first day of the week holy or to worship or rest on the first day of the week?

Authorizing anyone to set aside God's Sabbath and observe any other day?

Showing any of the apostles keeping the first day of the week as the Sabbath?

Authorizing someone to set aside the fourth Commandment and observe any other day of the week?

Where any apostle taught us to keep the first day of the week as the Sabbath?

Declaring that the seventh day is no longer the Eternal Sabbath day?

Where Sunday is now appointed to be kept as the New Testament Sabbath or holy day?

Ok looking forward to seeing those scriptures from God's Word:) If they are not there and you cannot show me, why do you not believe God's Word?

in order to love one another, we MUST do righteous deeds from heart purity towards one another, by keeping His commandments hidden and treasured within our heart, (bible 101)...also known as the Law of the Spirit, because faith without works is dead. James said even the devils believe.

Gen 15-6 And Abram believed in the LORD; and He counted it to him for righteousness. We will see what is meant by Abrahams' belief in Gen. 26-5. True belief inspires and empowers obedience via grace, lest one receives grace in vain, as Paul said…

Belief unto obedience, without obedience from the heart the believe is that of devils, but at least they tremble……think about it….Abraham believed unto obedience and his faith was imputed to be that of righteousness before God…

Let’s see if Abraham obeyed God. In chapter 26 God speaks to Isaac in regard to thy seed (Jesus Christ) that should come. Remember, Paul said in Galatians; not seeds as in many, but one seed Jesus Christ…Notice in verse 5 that Abraham OBEYED God..

Gen 26-2 And the LORD appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of:
3 Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father; 4 And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;

5 Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.

This was done by faithfulness to God’s commands from heart purity, and it was imputed to him a righteousness. This is what Paul poke of in the whole context of Roman 3….

Please read verse 5 over and over until it finally sinks in……Abraham's work of obedience by faith was reckoned/accounted/imputed to him as righteous. ..in short (Abraham did the works of faith)
……be blessed

You still show your confusion and ignorance - Sunday worship is NOT a replacement for the Sabbath!
Thats just you hopelessly befuddled with your own SDA propaganda!

The Sabbath was a REST day NOT a day for worship anyway.
You were not allowed to go anyway, do work of any kind, or even lift a heavy burden... remember!!

What is a replacement for the Sabbath (the weekly one) is the New covenant relationship that we have with God - the one so completely spelled out in Hebrews - where Jesus is our Sabbath rest (you know the true Sabbath rest revealed in Genesis chapter 2 and finally fulfilled in Jesus Christ, the one you don't believe in), not a rest day every seven days that was added along with the rest of the law because of sin!

The seventh day Sabbath was always just a VERY pale reminder of what was lost as a result of the fall - nothing more...

Buddy if I wrote a 200 page thesis replete with all the Biblical proofs it would go straight over your head!
Nothing to do with intelligence per se but everything to do with the fact that you are an SDA propagandist!

People with a lot less biblical knowledge than I have can see the gaping holes in all your arguments.
When I have posted valid Biblical proofs showing you your errors you don't have a valid response Biblically just a dismissal.

You should know that I don't post for your convenience.
All I want to show is that your less than subtle SDA propaganda is false.
I know you have not come here to learn but to attempt to proselytize with your false Gospel.

Hi graceNpeace,

Like I said earlier I am not interested in your propaganda. If you are so advanced in the Word of God like a said earlier why do you follow man made traditions over the Word of God?

Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

If it is works of the Spirit it is not a works based salvation, for it does not come from the flesh,so we cannot glory, and boast of those works, and we did not do those works while in the flesh,so this is what is required of us,for if we do not do those works then we are rebellious against God.

Quench not the Spirit, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, and if you do not continue in the goodness of God you will be cut off.

That is because we still have a choice while claiming Christ, for if we did not then we would not be tempted to sin,so after we receive the Spirit then the responsibility falls on us,and if we choose not to do those works then we are rebellious against God,and then how are we spiritual if we do not do the works of the Spirit.

For if they say they will do works as a result of being saved, then they have to explain the hypocrisy among them, that believe the prosperity Gospel, which God said if they teach that withdraw yourself from them, having food, and clothing,be content, and the love of God does not dwell in them, and they erred from the faith, and their faith is dead.

And how do they explain they cannot abstain from sin, when the Bible says if they hate sin,and do not want sin,by the Spirit they can abstain from sin,and sin does not affect their relationship with God,which if they sin wilfully, and hold unto sin,the blood of Christ cannot wash it away, and the Bible says do not depart from the living God,by the deceitfulness of sin.

1Jn 3:5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
1Jn 3:6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.
1Jn 3:7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
1Jn 3:10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

1Co 15:33 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
1Co 15:34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.

Heb 3:12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
Heb 3:13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

Righteousness is as righteousness does, and to not abstain from sin is to depart from the living God.

Faith alone, not saved by works, when we confess Christ for that is all we can do being in the flesh.

Faith without works is dead, and a person is justified by works, and not faith alone, after we receive the Spirit, for the responsibility falls on us to make the choice to keep doing right.

No person can say Jesus is Lord, but by the Holy Ghost, and a person that claims Jesus Christ is come in flesh is of God.

So if OSAS says we are chosen then everybody that claims that Jesus is Lord, and come in flesh, would be chosen too, even if they do not believe OSAS,because God is working in their life, and if God chooses who will be saved, and not saved, then God would not work in their life unless they were chosen.

But many are called, but few are chosen, which God does the calling, and choosing on earth, which explains how God can work in many people's lives, but they not be chosen, and not everybody that says Lord will dwell with Jesus, and means that the OSAS people have to do right or they will not make it.

We have been taught to look at 'our' obedience and it has become a religious past time. Actually it is fought about among people who are Christians every day. I see it on these forums on CC all the time and actually whenever I come here the forums are slathered with believers who fight to look at their own righteousness and want others to look at their own righteousness. And even believe it's unholy to look to Christ's obedience and not our own as our pass port to God's hand in everything we are and do in our lives here while on earth.

In reading yesterdays devotional it reminded me yet again and I neeed to be reminded again and again because in my humaness I am distorted and negative. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 10:5

Casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.

That verse does not mean as most of us have been taught from day one in our Christian lives to cast down arguments and evil things by learning to think like Jesus. No., that comes later. What that verse does mean is when we fail., when life is fearful and when things in this world become and are overwhelming bigger than our ability to fix in all areas of our lives personally., corporately and universally., the answer is to bring our thoughts into captivity and think instead about the obedience of Christ. Romans 5:19 says;

For as through the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the One the many will be made righteous.

It has occurred to me while I've observed other believers that many a Christian can't allow the walk of the spirit to lead. Many Christians in their zeal to spur others on in their walk as Christians have actually hindered people by pointing them to their own worthless works and minds that have yet to be renewed in the righteousness they have yet to learn about that Jesus gave them.

When faith is discussed and leaned on., the religious of us always point to behavior and not transformation. The behavior can't come first and then the transformation. It's the Spirit's work in us that teaches us how to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. And that is done by the grace and truth Jesus brought. The Bible says that it is grace that teaches us how to live godly in this present world.

It's grace and truth that teaches us how to be what we have been changed into at the time of our salvation. We can only change as we observe Jesus and not ourselves and our failings. It goes along with the truth about how we learn to love. We don't do it by our own impulses. Our learned impulses show us that we only love those who are good and kind to us. But the Bible says we love God because He first loved us.

Until a person finds out about the free love (grace) of God in Christ for their lives., they cannot possibly love God or others or themselves. This also is a process in finding out all that Jesus has put in us at the time of our salvation. And it is a daily learning of how to access and remember these truths of faith and of spirit when life looks to be hopeless by our brains that are really just a hunk of meat. Our brains need a bypass into the spiritual realm of faith. And then He comes in like a flood and makes all right and well and better. His grace is sufficient for the day.

I actually find it hard to wade through the posts by those who insist we are to "work" FOR our salvation. The verse that speaks about working out our own salvation with fear and trembling means we work OUT what Jesus has already worked IN us. Jesus did the work and we do the working out by faith. And we do it in all seriousness of mind and heart with a dedication and wonderful joyful desire in the Holy Spirit who was given to us. The Joy of the Lord is our strength.

The Christian life will be very difficult for the believer who believes Jesus did us more of a "kick-start" for our salvation and then leaves it up to us to do the rest. Jesus is the Author and the Finisher of our faith. He is the Maintainer and the Sustainer of our faith. Our job is to BELIEVE He is our righteousness and then the Christian life becomes as Jesus said ...
"My yoke is easy and my burden is light"

When we try to establish our own righteousness., the Christian life becomes a burden to heavy to carry and a yoke to tight to maintain.

And it will also become a fight of religion when the grace of God is mentioned for the believer to live out. It goes back to and always will go back to the beginning. By grace through faith Eph.2:8-9

A Christian can no more work out his salvation by his works than he can obtain it that way. To get this mixed up is a common problem for people because we are a works based humanity. We run based on what we deserve. We don't believe in getting things we don't deserve. Not only do we resist getting free the wells we have not dug or the houses we have not built., but we fight for the right to do the building and the digging. NO., stop fighting for the right to work for God's love IN Christ. It's God's love IN Christ that gives us all things pertaining to life and Godliness... not God's love IN us based on our abilities to keep Him satisfied.
